March 31, 2019 4.0 Overall, good for small teams but needs improvement. Pros It is a very good Online/SaaS solution for project management. I have been using MS project and this has all the features of it. It also allows to import data of MS office. The reporting tools also help to project the future. It is also easy to set up, user friendly and good for small teams and start ups. Cons It is hard to use when you have large teams therefore, not good for large companies and teams. Please, work in new APIs Pros It's a good SaaS to manage projects and resources. It allow us to manage our whole portfolio and keep in track used resources. Cons It doesn't have custom reports. On the other hand, it doesn't have an API to obtain hours for each project in a simple way. We use this tool for our PMO and since it's web based the permissions allow PMs to see one another's projects. It's an easy way to share information and track tasks. Cons The page load times are often very slow. There is no way to quickly see all projects assigned to me, it would be nice if there was a feature that allowed you to favorite projects for quick access or set a dashboard view that showed results on saved search parameters. I also like that you can make changes to due dates and tasks if needed. Pros this software updates all info via mail. but its should update like desktop app. initially its ok. but daily getting more mails, quite issue. because need to read lot of mails. other than its fine for update on dashboard page. creating project and status. Pros Good interface with a good blend functionality from traditional PM to agile kanban and story boards. Cons Resourcing of a project is a weak point, it's not possible to assign resourcing by % of time or time allocation to a project i.e User 1 90% and User 2 50% to the project so it's very inflexible in this way. ----BEWARE---- The free trial is only free for 30 days before this you have to have cancelled or you will be charged. I was charge over £700 to my personal account despite all the users being test users associated to my email. Yes it does stipulate this on T&C's but I've had a point blank refusal from them to reverse charges despite cancelling only 2 days late. Reason for choosing ProjectManager I would not choose ProjectManager.com or ever recommend this product. Review Source KR Kevin R. I can track time against actual effort and also get a report at the end of the project to display actual effort. Cons Can be slow on occasion especially in the workload section. It is easy for people to use and we can get the reports we need from it. We are very disappointed. Cons I am extremely upset with this company. After signing up for a free trial we had a couple of questions and found out the software did not work for us and thought our account was cancelled since they did not offer a mobile app and our company can only use software that has a mobile app as we only use it in the field. We disputed the charge with our bank about two months ago and today we found out that project manager fought our dispute and we were charged back the original $375 for the software that we never used and did not work for us. They have no phone number so I have not been able to talk to anyone about this issue and when emailed they did not care and had horrible customer service. We will let our other construction associates know NOT to use this company. It has enabled us to organize our projects, provide a central repository for documents, and the portfolio dashboard is top notch. It has resource allocation, workload, roadmaps, and budgeting. There are a lot of customization options, which also flow through to their reports. It has given us the ability to provide management and project teams real-time access to projects instead of us preparing reports, a real timesaver. The support and training teams are extremely responsive and there is a broad knowledge base in their support portal. They are also very interest in customer feedback and enhancement requests. The PMO team is very happy with the product. Pros The ability to manage all my projects individually and as a portfolio (dashboards are great). Cons There is nothing that really do not like, I would like to see some enhancements to make the product work every better. You WILL be charged for multiple user licenses if you fail to cancel your trial. I'm not interested in doing future business with a company with that kind of "gotcha" practices. Pros I tested this software as a potential replacement for MS Project which isn't available on my Mac. It seemed ok to use, but wouldn't output to .mpp which was a deal-breaker for me. I did look interesting for team collaboration and manpower, but I was mostly interested in building construction schedules. Cons The nature of their free trial. You need a credit card. I forgot to cancel my trial at the end of 30 days, and I was charged $400 for 15 users at the end of the month! And that was just for 1 month. Yes, you can find in your trial agreement that it states this, but NOT if you signed up via mobile like I did. Reaching out to customer success was useless. They refused to refund 14 of the user costs (I was a single user testing it out) and went dark after a single email from their customer service. I'll never consider the software for the rest of my team in the future due to that poor service. Review Source AS Austin S. Pros Have not really used anything on this program other than Ghant Chart. Still working out kinds in it, see below. Cons Printing the Ghant Chart legibly is taxing. It takes a lot of trial and error and back and forth to print and be able to read without having to print on 11x17 sized paper. Even when printed that large, sometimes you cannot get all items on the chart to fill the page as needed. I have talked with your IT previous and was told they are working on this. This is our main reason for using this program is for the critical path linked scheduling software. Review Source CS Coralie S. Allows input for risks that may affect the project schedule. Cons Not good for construction portion of project due to the constant changes and variables during construction which are beyond the project manager's control. Pros This is an application straightforward to use and user friendly. It gives you a lot of options to have reports from your teams and projects. Cons Sometimes when you are making a lot of changes in a timeline, you have to save them every few minutes, because if you save after a long time, the application throws an saving error, and you have to start again.
