Arguably one of the highest leverage tools we've ever brought into our company. Within two weeks, we had over 500 cards of information being viewed by over 50% of the company. This tool is a scaling solution that will power almost everything else when it comes to internal strategy and cultural alignment.

Pros

\- Integration into slack is unbeatable and unlike any other in the market - Browser extension is fantastic and easy to use - Search is powerful - Roadmap is strong with exciting things coming in the pipeline - Bring able to ask questions in slack - Ease of use - Ease of implementation - Implementation docs were amongst the best I've seen

Cons

\- A lot of work to do on the analytics side to enhance this capability - Formatting power in docs is limited when compared to something like Notion - Sometimes little performance issues with large amounts of information

Pros

It's great to have a platform that is central and everyone can see and use the same information. This help keep our processes uniform.

Cons

Sometimes get hard to find specific cards. Not sure if it's due to the tags that are being used for search.

Pros

The overall performance of this platform is magnificent. The graphics are engaging, the appearance is well thought of and the proper emphasis on important tabs is a big help. One feature that I admire the most is the cards, since being in the CSR industry for over 4 years already you dont get to see an overview for the articles you want to refer to. It's like having a preface on a book. You can also add the most useful articles on your home page which is a huge plus on convenience.

Cons

One small improvement I hope was present is that the links for the articles can be viewed on the same home page. I hope that you can maximize scrolling through the same page without having to open on a new tab because that's pretty confusing especially once you're in the middle of a call.

Guru has truly been a lifesaver for us, and has been so successful in our department that our entire company is now moving their knowledge bases to this platform. It is really easy to use and customize and organize, and I would recommend it to any company needing a centralized platform to hold information.

Pros

Guru is unbelievably easy to use and makes remote work a breeze. I cannot imagine training or being trained remotely without the use of this software. One of the things I love as an administrator is the ability for my team to make comments and ask questions on the Guru cards themselves. It helps me to update our resources in real-time. Another thing I love is that Guru will send a weekly digest that includes any unanswered questions, and a list of cards that need to be verified. Having reminders of this verification schedule ensures that we (the administrators) update any policy changes ASAP.

Cons

The only hesitancy that my team has around this software is that once you have made a comment or asked a question on Guru, it is permanent and cannot be erased. Often, people will use a different channel to ask questions around Guru cards because they don't want to ask a "silly" question and have that record there for all to see. I personally find all of those questions to be helpful in making our cards as easy to find and follow as possible, but I see why some might be shy to leave a permanent mark in the knowledge base.

It's essential -- we cannot do our jobs efficiently or consistently without Guru.

Pros

Information health is critical, so the verification status of each card in Guru helps our team know how trustworthy each card is.

Cons

Folders can only go 3 deep (folder within a folder within a folder). This means I need to rethink the organizational structure of cards to ensure a ton of information doesn't end up in a single folder making it difficult to locate stuff)

Updating our SOPs in Confluence was challenging because there was no set way to know when information expired. We were only a little better than using folders in Google Drive when using Confluence. When our team learned we could set verification intervals and expiration dates for Guru cards, suddenly our SOPs went from over 80% stale to 95% current.

I like how they combined simplicity and comprehensive content on Guru. Guru is so easy to use and it's very accessible for everyone. Guru is so newbie friendly since it's content or how they made details easy to read and easy to follow.

Cons

Nothing to be honest. Having all the things added here on guru, I wouldn't ask for more.

Pros

I love that it can be the same cards shared with multiple employees for training purposes. It helps address concerns in a cohesive manner so that all employees are trained with the same information. I also like how easily accessible it is, along with being able to favorite important cards that you can access even more quickly when needed.

Cons

It is not a bad feature, but I do forget to use the linked Guru cards at times when they are integrated with a specific task. I think that it is helpful when new employees are being trained, but sometimes it blocks information on my screen when I do not need it at the time.

Pros

It's very user friendly, easy to search related articles or information using keywords. We rarely encounter any lags or latency while using the system.

Cons

I think that would be allowing the user to customize or personalize the page. Like with google, where you can change the background images.

Pros

I am able to make changes and add notes to the cards at any time when things change and the entire department has access to those changes immediately. No need to write a lengthy email. No need to create a meeting and sit through each change. It's instantaneous and easy to use for everyone.

Cons

The only thing I wish Guru had is even more features to edit the look of the cards. They do have a number of editing features, but even more variety in the future (font sizes, highlight colors, etc) would be greatly appreciated for drawing the eye to important changes.

Some companies have intricate workflows or, the information can be too much to memorize. Guru serves as a source of information. The fact that we can find everything in one click, that you can attach links, and photos and you can access similar cards, it's perfect!

Pros

It's intuitive, and user-friendly, and the best part is that by entering a key-word on the search bar you can find all the information about either a workflow or a products

Cons

So far I haven't found something I don't like about guru. It's a great app.

Cons

I wish the Starter plan had a little more functionality, like the ability to use Zapier and some limited analytics.The Chrome extension periodically has glitches.The higher tier plans are cost-prohibitive for a smaller company.

Cons

The search algorithm needs to be tweaked. There's still some growth in terms of content management (eg. would be great for anchor links, and sometimes adding images is clunky)

It is easy to use and set up the knowledge base. The help section, particularly the Guru Community, has been a great resource when I need assistance.

Cons

I like almost everything. If I have to pick one thing to dislike it's just getting the company to adopt it. We are past that hurdle, but initially reminding people to check Guru rather than posting a general question in Slack took some time.

Pros

It is the most unique storage of the knowledge base. I've had other KBs, and those are slow and inefficient, unlike these Guru cards, which have been so helpful to our production. I use Guru every day to make sure I am on the right track.

Cons

The guru link holds the first query you searched, so it's sometimes not appealing to look at

We use it to conduct enterprise-level searches and handle large amounts of data using AI. Its intuitive interface and extensive feature set have allowed us to significantly improve the efficiency with which we share and retrieve information. The entire team has very well accepted this platform's ability to integrate with others because it allows everyone to work with the same data set without switching between different applications. Guru's powerful search algorithms and user-friendly interface make it easy to locate specific pieces of information even if we don't know their precise location.

Cons

Guru is expensive; however, the platform's many advantages outweigh its price, making it a wise financial investment.
