We went from an organization that made the majority of our payments by cheque (requiring dual signatures) to online using Plooto in about a week. I don't know how we would have paid our bills without it. Pros Plooto was so easy to set up, and it's auto connection to our accounting software was seamless. Cons We make quite a few payments to the USA, and I would like to see the cost on those come down. The price on Canadian payments is very reasonable. Review Source DR Dylan R. Pros Easy to set up payments. It was preferred method when we used Xero. Plooto is what we selected and it has been a great decision. From set up to ongoing use, the support is excellent. Pros From set up to ongoing use, the support is excellent. Seamless integration to QBO. I am encouraging other clients to move over to Plooto. Cons There is nothing yet I "wished" Plooto did better. For A/P processing, it exceeds expectations. Pros I love the functionality of being able to process payroll to my team. The ease of that as opposed to sending checks is great Cons I feel the time between process and when my team member receives payment is long. And the cost to process is higher than, say a stamp to mail a check. I don't use it enough to warrant a monthly fee. I liked the per transaction charge instead. Pros I like how it has multi level bill approval and integrates with QBO which saves a lot of manual entry. Cons That you can’t use your credit card to pay for bills. Having made the move from cheques to electronic payments not that ago, we didn't realize that payments could actually be very simple. The pandemic has made other platforms more difficult to use because they're often kept on one computer and managed by one person which makes contingencies and redundancies impossible. Pros We haven't been using Plooto for very long but the setup was incredibly easy. I think the best feature is that payments are very clear with the invoice attached as well as pathway and dates for the payment process. Everything is also very easy to use and transparent and the fact that it's on the cloud means everyone who needs to access it can without having to be at a particular terminal or computer. This feature alone increases financial transparency. Cons Understanding the different roles and needs took a little longer than expected but that wasn't hard. I'd love to be notified when approvals are made and payments are processed. The approval set-up is also great for our organization as we can easily set up two directors to sign off on all payments. Cons No major complaints. Cons The two biggest issues we have with plooto are the following: 1) The biggest issue for us is recociliation, plooto is unable to sync payments for sub-companies on quickbooks, which makes it a manual process for us to go in and reconcile everything. This would only be an issue if you use sub-companies - IE Customers with multiple sites you invoice. 2) Only Canada/USA currently supported, as we are international we are unable to process orders with banks outside of Canada/USA. There is no need for the user to download an app or create an account, which is really important to someone who already has way too many accounts to keep track of! Pros We use this for reimbursements. There's no need to download another app as we submit our receipts through email to a specific email address. I am always reimbursed in a timely manner without any issues. Cons I have no complaints when it comes to this program. Plooto eliminates the manual need to generate cheques and get two signatories. Plooto has also eliminated the need for two signatories to visit our bank to get money orders or make wire transfers for international payments. " December 8, 2020 5.0 Pros This software saves our organization so much time and effort to process our accounts payable. The link to Quickbooks also saves the time posting. Overall it’s a great system to remove all manual processes and payments from your workflows. And payments can be approved remotely which doesn’t hold up payments having to wait for signing authorities to be in the office. Cons I wish that the USD payments into the USA institutions were more competitive in pricing. It’s still expensive to process if they are outside of Canada for us.
