My clients didn't like using Plooto to pay my invoices. They requested that I use the 'Pay Invoice Now' feature available through QuickBooks Online. It's much easier for all of us to use QBO than Plooto.

Pros

Easy to import invoices from QuickBooks Online

Cons

Clients had to enter their banking information every time they paid an invoice.

I run a small business that only pays a few invoices a month via ACH. When the price was $1 per transaction with no minimum it was great. My monthly Plooto bill was between $3-$7 per month. When Plooto switched to $25 per month with 10 transactions included, it did not make sense to continue as price increased 150% from what I was paying and I do not need to process 10 transactions.

Pros

Plooto is so easy to use and payments are made to vendors and collected from clients quickly and efficiently. I loved the product.

Cons

Switching to a subscription only model forced me to stop using Plooto.

Overall once it was set up I have found it very easy to use and worth the money.

Pros

Once it was set up the program works really well and integrates with Quickbooks desktop to make reporting a breeze.

Cons

Setting up the interface between the browser program and the desktop program was a real hassle.

Apart from those 2 functions it is a good software to use.

Pros

Easy to sync with Xero, easy to navigate within certain parts.

Cons

No bill payments, cap on CRA payments, payment is slow to go through.

Overall a good experience, but it's missing a key integration that would make it perfect. I can't wait for them to bring back credit card payments and I hope they expand the integration capabilities.

Pros

Plooto integrates with QBO and make syncing receivables and payables easy. It reconciles the payments which saves a lot of time. The customers and suppliers receive an email that tells them about upcoming payments and a link that takes them to this information plus shows them the past transactions.

Cons

I've been using Plooto with one client for about a year now and would like to move other clients to this system. Unfortunately, Plooto doesn't work with QBO's projects and sub-customer system. Each time I’ve tested collecting these receivables, Plooto says the customer doesn't exist and wants to create a new client even though the client does exist, it's picking up the project or sub-customer name at the end of the client’s name. If Plooto’s system can recognize the customers name before the ":" to allow collection of accounts with multiple project or sub-accounts I would be able to move more clients over to this system.

Save time and increased accuracy of accounting records

Pros

Integration with Xero accounting software and options for direct deposit or email e-transfer. Plus, it's easy to send off a batch of bill payments. Saves me a few hours every month easily.

Cons

When they initially launched the integration with my accounting software was not fully set up and there were some confusing transactions, but it is all great now.

So far negative but hopeful I can figure it out. I'm frustrated to have had to pay $25 per month and still haven't figured out if this is going to work for my business or not

Pros

I'd like to have easy PAD setup but I am struggling with this feature I may cancel if I can't figure it out

Cons

I have been struggling to get the PAD setup for my customers and find it hard to not have access to telephone customer support. Chat based support after hours does not exist. Interface stuff is not very intuitive.

Pretty Good experience. I had one billing issue where I released the payment before the product expiry, but they did not make the payment because the payment release date on their end was after my subscription expired. This does not make any sense.

Pros

It is easy to use, and upload my information. I haven't yet connected it to quickbooks, as I usually just use it for shareholder distributions at the end of each month.

Cons

I haven't explored all the use cases, but this seems to work for what I need.

Set up was quick and easy. I needed to wait for half a day to confirm my bank account but I understand that it's for security purposes. It was well worth the time. Everything is quick and easy and I love how they have a flat fee - they've recently reduced it down to $1. Where it helps more is how much time it saves me after I switched over from using cheques. We're a cloud based accounting firm and they have a great way to set up multiple accounts that I can manage and get payments approved by my clients. Their customer service is also really good, I actually had a new feature implemented after I brought it up to them. As far as I know, right now they're just in Canada but I can't wait for them to get into the U.S.

Professional and smooth

Pros

I use it for collections. I never have to chase my accounts or worry about whose paid what and when. Improved my cashflow immensely. Connects seamlessly to my bookkeeping software too!

Cons

Takes 5 days to receive my funds. An additional 24.0 hours if the client banks with a credit union.

professional service, value based pricing.

Pros

I subscribed to this product for the AP process. I wanted to be able to mark invoices for payment remotely and allow the owner to approve from anywhere. It works seemlessly and it's easy to set up vendors for payment.

Cons

I haven't used all the features yet to determine what I like least.

I didn't need to chase down banking information from vendors to set them up to be paid.

It is easy to use. It serves a purpose but its not for everyone particularly if there are a lot of transactions.

Cons

Delays and hold backs on transactions. I was turned away because I paid a staff member and the money was held and asked for a review each time.

It's been great at collecting payments that I've send when customers agree to using it.

Pros

I like that Plooto allows me to set up PAD agreements with customers for automatic billing and syncs my invoices from Quickbooks Online

Cons

Customers are reticent to use PAD agreements, but that's not Plooto's fault. I'm not sure it's obvious when customers receive the PAD request that they understand why they're getting it or who it's from. Customer service is non-existent

I love that is app allows me to automatically collect my monthly fees from all my clients without having to do anything!

Cons

Honestly there isn't much not to like. It doesn't link with Sage, but Sage is dying anyway :(

Pros

Once my password was set with the Two-Step Authenticator process in tact, it became very easy to use.

Cons

Trying to set up my password at the beginning was quite challenging.

Making paying bills more time efficient.

Pros

It makes it easy to pay suppliers via EFT. Bills from Quickbooks are imported. When you pay the bills it automatically pays the bill in Quickbooks so overall it saves in admin time and errors.

Cons

It would be nice to have a printed (or PDF) list from a payment to save for record keeping.
