"DO NOT RECOMMEND NETDOCS AT THIS TIME "

**Overall:** I cannot recommend NetDocuments, primarily due to excessive costs and inefficiency. One major issue is how the platform handles OCR: every OCR’d file is stored as a second version, which doubles storage usage and greatly increases expenses. With Worldox, OCR did not create duplicate files, which saved substantial disk space. For our small firm of 23 users, WITHOUT any of the AI features, NetDocuments costs nearly $30,000 per year for only 1.8 terabytes—an unsustainable price. Another serious drawback is the lack of efficient document and email previewing. Worldox allowed instant previews in a panel, making it easy to identify content quickly. NetDocuments forces you to open each file, and even then the preview pane often lags noticeably. This slows down workflow and makes daily tasks unnecessarily frustrating. While I understand that NetDocuments is cloud-based, so are Outlook 365 and Adobe Acrobat, both of which provide fast, seamless previews. If those services can optimize their systems for speed, NetDocuments should be able to do the same. Until NetDocuments resolves its OCR storage inefficiencies and significantly improves preview performance, I cannot recommend it for firms that value productivity and cost-effectiveness.

**Pros:** The fact that my case management company (not NetDocuments) linked our software to their product has been helpful. I can press a button on my case management product and pull up all the documents associated with that case. Again, this is something the team from my case management program did.

**Cons:** 1\. Very slow to preview - significant latency in just trying to look at a document 2. Very high price - approximately $30,000.00 annually for 1.8 terabytes of storage 3. Their OCR doubles your space requirements - need to pay for twice the space you need because the OCR Netdocuments uses is very inefficient in that requires that they need to save the OCRd version as a second version - very different than what Worldox used to use 4. Went from Worldox to Netdocuments. It is actually difficult to locate documents at times. This is leading to employees saving in file explorer

**Switched From:** [WORLDOX GX](https://www.capterra.com/p/80770/Worldox/)

**Reasons for Switching to NetDocuments:** We were told that Netdocs had purchased Worldox and that we would have to switch eventually. They provided us what we thought was a deal (less than $10,000.00) to convert our data from Worldox to Netdocs.
