Sr. Field Marketing Manager Computer Software Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Horrible Customer Experience " April 3, 2020 1.0 The overall experience has been painful and disappointing. It started off so well, but has slowly declined. Reg is picking back up, but at this point the relationship is tarnished and I am unhappy with how they are handling a long time account. Bullying us to purchasing more and not honoring previous roll over credits seems like a very bad move in the current state of economy. I feel they need the cash flow and are just trying to stay afloat. Pros When we first starting using Banzai in 2018, it worked great. We had them reaching out to their database as well as our target accounts to drive registrations for events. However, things took a tragic turn in 2019. They added on webinar support capabilities and over promised and undelivered. The dashboard is relatively easy to use to set up events and add goals around registrations. You can easily see where they are in the outreach process in terms of total registrants (with ability to export the list) as well as email deliverability rates. They also have the option to send inMails as part of the cadence, but warned that there is less control over who registers from inMail. Cons Where to begin! First, the customer service is horrible. In two years we have had multiple account managers who made promises they couldn't keep. We purchased an additional 1,000 credits in early 2019 to use for webinars and at the end of the year had more than 900 remaining. Programs were not launched when they said they were. Emails were severely impacted by deliverability rates, but none of this was communicated. WE had to do our own digging in the dashboard to uncover insights as to why the registration wasn't there. They made every excuse in the book in our weekly calls with no sign of improvement. We were told our credits would be able to transfer to the following year (2020) since they were not able to hold up their end of the agreement and convert a decent majority of them into registrations. At the start of this year we received a new account manager yet again, who is now pressuring us to buy more credits saying the roll over isn't valid and expired. Needless to say, we are very unhappy! We tried to pull in old account managers into the discussion to make them honor their original commitment, but were blocked from this. We had to get our legal counsel involved recently to try and come up with a somewhat fair solution. We now have the next 3 months to use our roll over credits before they expire and we will be required to purchase more or terminate their partnership. I am pretty sure I know what action we will take for Q3 and it won't be to buy more. Reason for choosing Banzai Reach It was a cheap solution that seemed like an easy option to implement. We have weekly cadence calls with the Banzai team to review each event and provide updates. Pros It's user friendly; you can quickly see the event details. Cons It's not integrated with our CRM. Their software is easy to use to develop a campaign and their team is extremely responsive and helpful. Pros Banzai provides great support for audience acquisition for your events. They really are an extension to your own team, driving the right leads and contacts to activities that help drive awareness and pipeline. Cons The only thing to be aware of Banzai is that audience profiles need to be very specific because if they are not, they will drive everyone on the profile list. We are currently running around 25 events, and the platform is a must for us. I also like that we can filter out those we do not want to be contacted prior to the campaigns starting with the use of preview files. We also really like our CSM team. Cons We had some hiccups with webinars not hitting goals, but Banzai has rolled out a new process for them, so we hope this ups the number of registrants for those campaigns. They worked as an extension of our team to find contacts, secure participation, pass on details and confirm attendance. As an organization, they were receptive to feedback, and prescriptive in finding solutions to enhance the process. Pros Banzai was a really simple system to use and monitor as an extension of our internal team for generating traffic. Pros I can always depend on Banzai to get us qualified leads no matter the geography. They are a great addition to our own marketing efforts. Cons I wish we could start getting leads for events earlier in our marketing process. We start marketing our events 2 months out, so it would be nice to get registrations at that point. Banzai overall has made my life doing field marketing incredibly easy, especially as it relates to targeting specific companies or personas and getting them to register for my events. Pros Very easy to use and set up. I put in a few details like who I want to target, who I don't want to target, and how many registrations I'm looking for and voila they come rolling in :) Cons The initial setup can be a little time-consuming and confusing, but the customer success team is great about making sure it's as easy as possible for you. It really feels like you have a strong extended SDR team dedicated for your webinar registrations. Pros Banzai helps us driving qualified webinar registrations and ease our SDR's time to focus on mid to bottom funnel prospecting. Cons the service is not driving cheap and low quality leads.
