### "The ONLY E-Commerce Solution for WordPress"

Being able to setup e-commerce solutions quickly is key in my business model. If I have a client who wants to "sell a few things online," I shouldn't need to tack on $5,000 to their project cost just to do so. The fact that I can install and setup WooCommerce, with PayPal, and a handful of products in less than an hour means I can offer basic e-commerce solutions to my clients at an extremely affordable price. And when my clients are happy, they know they can trust me for future needs AND they tell others about me (in turn building my client base).

Pros

I know there are other e-commerce solutions available for WordPress, and I'm sure they work just fine, but WooCommerce is the only plugin I look to when needing e-commerce on a website. In my opinion, the fact that they are owned by Automattic (the company behind WordPress) is a huge plus, because you know the product will ALWAYS work with WordPress and won't be dropped by a developer who "just got tired of doing it." In addition, they have a vast array of premium extension to further expand on the base functionality (from different payment gateways to subscription management, online bookings, and tons more). The free plugin makes online selling accessible for everyone, and it's easy to collect payments immediately via PayPal. Every extension I've ever purchased has worked nearly flawlessly, and when it doesn't, support is always immediately available via chat. Product support and reliability are two of my biggest deciding factors when looking at solutions for my clients.

Cons

Some of the really great extensions are on the pricey side (at least, that's how some of my clients feel). Shelling out $250/year for online bookings or subscription services can be a hard pill to swallow for some small/micro businesses who are creating their first website. However, I would argue that their extensions are extremely affordable when compared to custom code development, and ideally the small business would be quickly and easily recouping that annual cost through the service the extension is providing.

Overall I think WooCommerce is great company with almost everything free on their e-commerce platform and I would recommend it to anyone looking to start a new online business.

Pros

This software was very easy to use and completely free. The design of the site was also very clean and modern which fit in with my logo. Also the software isn't really hard to learn. After one YouTube video I was all set and adding products to my store.

Cons

There aren't any cons I think of WooCommerce but there are some on WordPress which is what WooCommerce is installed on. Installing a WordPress server is very complicated and frustrating and I didn't understand any of the "techy" stuff. So I purchased WordPress hosting from a company named Easy WP for about $4/month and they installed the server and did everything for me so all I had to do was create my website and products. For non "techy" people like me I recommend purchasing something like this since it will be easier to get started.

### "Great eCommerce Solution For Wordpress, not always easy to implement"

We use WooCommerce in a multilingual environment selling both memberships and event tickets. Configuration with these somewhat niche environments can be a challenge, particularly for a volunteer run organization.

Pros

This is an easy eCommmerce solution for Wordpress. It makes it quick an easy to add items, and control orders, as long as you don't have too many items.

Cons

The performance of the product is questionable. We are using it with WooCommerce WPML and there are some real performance concerns. With WPML and the Add-Ons plugin to extend the form capabilities reporting is also a challenge.

Pros

En la actualidad he probado con varias plataformas para el comercio electrónico que llevan incluidos su motor de e-commerce. Pero nada me ha dado tantos resultados como el plug-in WooCommerce. Lo que más me encanta de esta funcionalidad es su infinita capacidad de gestión e integración para el impulso de los productos online, y es que si de repente falta algo podemos complementarlo o lograrlo con una correcta configuración. Yo siempre que creo una tienda online lo utilizo porque es una gran herramienta de gran ayuda y gestión.

Cons

Entre sus puntos negativos podría indicarles que son poco, pero sí, hay que destacar es su poca accesibilidad a personalización. Y con esto me refiero a páginas que proporciona este plug-in como la del carrito o pago. Ya que, todo va avanzando y siempre requerimos de modificaciones estratégicas y no se pueden hacer, ejemplo, si quiero modificar los botones o colores no se puede, o si al final el formulario de pago no se adapta y quiero cambiarlo tampoco se puede. A menos que instale otro plug-in para lograr hacer estos cambios.

Overall good but with some difficulties managing some products details. This software is not for novice users. I reccomend a solid base of web and programming skills

Good data management. A lot of plug in to integrate with. A lot of functions. Free for easy users.

Cons

Difficulty in learning functions/options and to make the software and website working well. sometimes bug inporting data from different we sites or database such as Onpage (software for create catalogue with database online)

WooCommerce es sorprendente, llevo muchos años usándolo y me encanta. Además, permite añadir productos de forma muy sencilla y se pueden agrupar por categorías, el carrito de compras y el checkout son muy intuitivos, así mismo, se tiene una analítica eficiente del inventario, los pedidos y los envíos.

Cons

Woocommerce es genial, sin embargo, existen funcionalidades con las que no cuenta y para las que se necesita añadir otros plugins de pago que en algunas ocasiones tienen un precio muy elevado.

Great for geeks and those who want to take the time to figure out all the possibilities. Not really recommended for beginners in my opinion.

Pros

Almost unlimited possibilities. Not too expensive. Endless options. Can be simple to use if you don't overkill on the plugins

Cons

Customer support has got to be some of the worst that I have ever had with any software that I have ever had. If they respond at all, it usually takes several days and is rarely helpful. It is not all their fault, however. The main fault is the fact that they allow having too many plugins from so many different sources which is usually always the cause of every problem.

Reason for choosing WooCommerce

I got in when they were just starting, so I got some unbeatable deals. I plan to stay with them as I am a nerd and don't mind the problems with the software because I love the endless functionality.

Pros

Fully customizable and once you get the hang of it, it’s easy to use

Cons

You need plugins galore to make it worth anything. Not super duper user friendly unless you have someone guy using you through and there is a bit of a learning curve. Also, you either need to be website savvy or hire a professional to ensure it’s done properly.

Pros

It has a huge community behind it, this means it is easier to find help to common issues. There's also a wide range of developments to fill in native gaps.

Cons

It has a steep learning curve, and there's a lot of functionality that needs extra plugins; it's also resource heavy (hosting wise)

Woocommerce is a great platform for anyone looking to start an online store. It's easy to use, and the setup process is straightforward both for the administrator as well as for the user also.

Pros

Woocommerce helps me to set up e-commerce stores for my clients on their WordPress websites. Not only this set up an online store with woocommerce helps us to complete the project on time with all functionality such as Payment gateway & shipping partner Integration. It is also easy for store owners to manage their online stores on their own with no or little help.

Cons

However, if you're looking for more features or customization options, you'll need to add lots of plugins which can impact the page loading speed and may affect the SEO of the websites. But overall, it's a great platform for beginners who are just starting out their E-commerce with Limited Budget.

My overall experience is, as well as for developers and beginners it's the best plugin. It's an easy to use full package and the most important thing is, it's free. After more than two years of experience I’m glad to say, woocommerce is still my first choice when I go to make an online store. It’s user friendly and handy from the very first time so even beginners with basic knowledge can use. It saves me lot of time and it’s free! Especially in these pandemic times lot of shop owners wants to reach their customers via internet. For my opinion, to transform your website to an online store with this plugin is just a piece of cake! And that’s my experience as well. Not only that, you can make your own dropshipping website or store and woocommerce will full fill all your requirements. Controlling the orders and shipments, managing the products, update and maintenance of the store with this plugin is very easy.

Cons

After all it’s free and complete plugin, disadvantages are very few. The only thing That I found is, the number of several third party plugins I had to use. If they can reduce these by adding them, that’ll be a big win.

I've used WooCommerce as a web developer for over 3 years to build online e-commerce platforms for clients.

Pros

It's free and open source. A strong community of developers and users so if you're trying something new there are high chances someone has already done it and created a tool or documentation on how to repeat it. WooCommerce is versatile and can be used for both physical and virtual goods.

Cons

For a small website or store that sells only virtual products, WooCommerce is bulky compared to alternatives. While it's functionality can be extended the plugins to achieve this tend to be on the expensive side for small stores that are just starting out.

Woocommerce allowed us to take our business to the next level. There is always more to learn, but we have seen exponential growth since taking our platform online with woocommerce.

Pros

While there was a learning curve to getting this set up, once we were up and running we started to see results almost immediately.

Cons

There is a learning curve. It is not designed for newbies, but with some help we were able to build and expand enough to be profitable in short order.

Since I started using this tool, I can manage my virtual store very easily, it is super intuitive, I can have stock control, I can add as many products as I want, the truth is that it is the best thing that could have happened to my company.

Pros

For me, Woocomerce is the best tool today to manage your E-commerce where there are infinite options, from shopping cart integration to product inventory management. I love that it is a free, secure and fully functional tool.

Cons

I think what I like the least is the app, I feel that it doesn't allow me to do so many things for my store, like adding a new product, for example, this version is a bit slow sometimes. But in general, it's good.

Pros

You can not only manage orders and see it's details, you can also see revenue stats, compare it in time, and do all sorts of other important things such as keeping stock up to date!

Positive. It is easier that PrestaShop. Although I needed to install a lot of plugins to get the shop to have the same functionality as PrestaShop. I find it very easy to use

Pros

It's easy to use. I was able to import my products from PrestaShop without significant problems. It's very basic and you will need to install like 60 plugins to be able to handle shipping, loyalty programs, sales, and so on

Cons

Basic tool and needed to install and maintain so many plugins Is not multi lingual by default.

Overall I like this program, it has its little glitches here and there but they are easy to work around when encountered.

Pros

I like that this product integrates easily with other popular software programs that I like to use for Social Marketing. I can also use WooCommerce to track and sell drop ship items.

Cons

You have to do the updates and software Maintenace manually if you use it with WordPress and it does require you are very familiar with the other program you would use it with.

Overall I have been using WooCommerce for over 5 years. I have never thought about switching the software works great and is highly flexible over many different application. I can't highly recommend WooCommerce enough.

Pros

It must be said that this software is free and that is comes with feature rich options. There are very few options I find lacking within this software. It is ready to use as soon as you install it.

Cons

One of the least favorite options is how shipping is handled. It is not straight forward and there is a lot of hoops to make it work. Once it is up and running it runs smooth.

I love the interface and ease-of-use of this platform. I can quickly get clients' set up and selling in minutes.

Pros

In my many years of website development, WooCommerce has been the only eCommerce solution I look to to accomplish my clients' needs. From basic to extremely complex set ups, it has the tools and integrates well with others to get the job done well.

Cons

Some of the add-ons can be cost prohibitive, although I find that it's out-of-the-box system does everything I need 9/10 times, and it's ability to integrate with other tools usually solves any challenges.
