Can handle some ecommerce tasks, especially around product images and options better than big name SaaS ecommerce platforms.

Pros

It's free and easy to setup. It's constantly getting updates. Easily extendable with plugins. Intuitive interface.

Cons

Customizing templates can require a lot of upkeep to keep up with updates. Shopping Cart is hard to customize.

Mancherebbero alcune funzioni o implementazioni. Se vuoi aggiungere qualche funzionalità hai sempre bisogno di uno sviluppatore. A volte la manutenzione è richiesta troppo spesso rispetto ad altri software cms per sviluppo ecommerce

Pros

I have always loved WooCommerce as my company started in this platform. I have been told to use other e-commerce platforms but woo commerce is my first love. It is simple and easy to use. Works as well as the competition and it is most importantly cheaper

Cons

Nothing to dislike. When you run a business that has really low margins, a cheaper platform is always the way to go.

Works pretty much out of the box with simple setup steps to get you started. The compatibility with drag and drop builders make this especially desirable for front-end developers and designers of which there is a large amount of support and help.

Pros

Woocommerce is built for people who like to just focus on selling and not trying to fight with code or complex menus. Although, if you are a programmer or web developer then you will find that Woocommerce supports a lot of Drag and Drop Theme Builders and is easy to customise and redesign to your heart's content. The third party market for additional plugins is extensive and well supported with additional support forums offering code snippets and fixes for extending the capabilities of connectivity and marketing.

Cons

I would like to see more conditional logic features built in. I am aware that additional plugins could probably do this job, however this seems like something that should already be available. This feature would give greater control to what visitors see when visiting certain pages.

Reason for choosing WooCommerce

Actinic need to learn from WooCommerce what ease-of-use actually means. I spent several hours wasting my time to learn that Woocommerce is built for SEO and this is the main reason I opted to using it.

Pros

I really wanted WooCommerce to work for my business because it had a lot of features that Easy Digital Downloads doesn't -- but WooCommerce is not good for freelancers and those who sell services online. I was upset when I switched because even though EDD works better for my transcription services, I felt like I was missing out. WooCommerce is technically free, but you'll definitely need extensions to run your store -- and they add up quickly and can be costly. Overall, I'd say for retail and physical products, WooCommerce seems like an excellent option that I would absolutely recommend. BUT for freelancers, take the loss and stick with Easy Digital Downloads -- unless WooCommerce adds freelancing features!

Pros

\- It has more features and customization than EDD in many ways. - Great way to make money with your online business and ecommerce. - WooCommerce is well-known and therefore more trusted than other plugins from my experience. - Several payment methods for customers including PayPal - Many extensions - You can create discounts and coupons for your customers, which is great.

Cons

\- WooCommerce isn't good for freelancers. This was the dealbreaker for me and the reason I switched to Easy Digital Downloads, which has less features than WooCommerce. - WooCommerce is super difficult to figure out for newbies. You really need to be proficient in WordPress and website building to navigate it with ease. It's a bit overwhelming and intimidating at first, but so is WordPress in general! - Like most of the WordPress plugins which claim to be free, if you want full functionality and features, expect to spend money. Extensions are basically necessary to run your business and definitely add up quickly and can end up costly to run your store the way you want to. -

Woocommerce is an easy-to-use e-commerce platform for beginners who are just creating a website with wordpress. Your online store will be very powerful with woocommerce.Because it's all in one. All you have to do is install supporting plugins like wishlists, compare, secure payment methods with visa, mastercard, and paypal, track shipping, and more. Create coupons, product variables, price discounts, sales reports, integration with any email marketing everything makes your online store satisfy customers.

Cons

All easy and many guidelines on the internet. However, if you want to create a very powerful online store you need to install woocommerce addon (for example Yith).

It was excellent working with this software.

Pros

What I like most of this software is that it has some functions that are essential to any of the e-commerece website like payment gateway, products, shipping, tracking etc. I have been using this website for 2 years for building my own wordpress website.

Cons

The least I liked about this software is that the prices for buying some functions such as tracking the exam score of a person, number of logins per user are much more than the normal prices.

Cons

It has issues after updates and clients could not pay at checkout. Especially after a WordPress upgrade it has severe issues.

We use WooCommerce as the default web shop for all websites we make for our customers. As it is simple to set up we do not waste time creating custom products for smaller companies that only need a simple, cheap solution. It is also very easy to use so we have very little to do with those web shops once they are set up. It is a great plugin, and if parts of it weren't hidden behind high-price plugins, it would be perfect.

Pros

WooCommerce is a complete out-of-the-box solution. You install it, and it has basic functionality good enough to run a web shop. I also love the fact most professional themes come with WooCommerce support so it is very easy to create a visually attractive website with just a few clicks.

Cons

There are extensions upon extensions of functionality that are paid for. There are some functions that should be a part of WooCommerce itself that are locked behind extension paywalls. Some of them seem like a cash grab - like the ability to import or export products properly, or add product inquiry options. I ended up creating snippets of code that I use to circumvent those overly expensive plugins.

Soluzione completa ed affidabile per piccoli-medi negozi online. Ben implementabile in WordPress e personalizzabile dal punto di vista grafico. Necessita di molte risorse per gestire grossi database.

Facilità di amministrazione dell'inventario, costante aggiornamento, disponibilità di molte funzioni già nella versione gratuita, integrazione con WordPress e altri plugins.

Cons

I like it very much, but every time a client needs a different function there is an add-on to pay. It would be better to have like an agency full-addon licence.

Pros

You get one of the best e-commerce platform basically for free to install in your own wordpress website in a breeze.

Cons

But there are tons of addons and plugins that make it very complex to do less basic stuff and may cost you a lot.

It's a very good software to create a basic store however you need to plan to invest money if you want to do anything special with the software because extensions are costly.

Pros

I like the possibility of what you can do with Woocommerce. There a lot of extensions that allow you to set up a web site in nearly endless possibilities. You can customize the software to fit your needs.

Cons

The extensions store prices are very high and must be paid yearly. The free Woocommerce can set up a very basic store however the cost to do anything beyond a basic store can become very costly and there is always another add-on they want you to download.

It was easy to set up a product catalog on my site to sell products, and once you integrated with a payment provider you could capture payment information easily and securely. But I don't use it any longer because I switched to Shopify, and am way more happy with that.

Pros

It's free. It's pretty easy to set up, and it does the job you need it to do - create a product catalog, and sell stuff (once you integrate a payment provider like PayPal or Stripe).

Cons

What really bothers me about WooCommerce is that everything is its own separate plugin. So if you want to get reports, you need to install a different plugin. This opens you up to having so many plugins that may not play nicely when your site updates. This happened to me when my site updated to a new version of WordPress, but the order export plugin wasn't compatible, and my entire site crashed! I wound up getting a Shopify account shop set up - you can get a Buy Button for only $9/month, and that's way more easy to use than Woo.

When i need to set up e-commerce on my Wordpress website during lockdown. Woocommerce was great to implement. However, if you would like it to look pretty and give a better user experience, hire a developer to tweak it and make it run like professional e-commerce store.

Pros

It was really easy to set up WooCommerce on a Wordpress website for quick access to e-commerce.

Cons

Making it look pretty. The checkout page is very functional and doesn’t format properly unless you know how to code. I felt it looked quite amateur on the user experience side.

Good, stable product. Excellent customizability. Very good SEO, and integration with other things, like Square, Quickbooks, etc. I would choose it for a big store, but might consider SquareSpace for something small, especially if booking is required. But if you want the most flexibility, I'd choose WooCommerce.

Pros

Free, and easy to install on an existing WordPress site.

Cons

It seems like you need a paid plugin for every extra feature, and they are all $80/year. It adds up!

We have moved on from WooCommerce with the exception of two small stores, however I feel it is a good basic solution for a startup or a smaller company.

Pros

WooCommerce provides a cheap basic solution for online store and eCommerce. I view it as a stepping stone on the way to a better solution like Shopify or BigCommerce, but you have to start somewhere, and it does well in this role. Cheap and simple.

Cons

It simply does not have the features or functionality of BigCommerce or Shopify, but as a starting point I do actually recommend WooCommerce.

All in all, it is the single best shopping solution for Wordpress. I used it on a few websites that I made and I loved it mainly because it was very easy and quick to set up. It saved me time and energy.

Pros

All of it. The beautiful out of the box shop front end, the ease of use, the great backend organization, the myriad of options, and the ease of setup. It is painless to set up to the point you only click a few buttons and you have a working shop.

Cons

There are many plugins for this plugin that don't come cheap. I'd love if they were a part of the software rather than buying them separately.
