### "Low cost solution for e-commerce on Wordpress"

April 30, 2020

5.0

After creating a Wordpress e-commerce site with WooCommerce, I was pleased with the capabilities of the platform to sell products on my site without all the extra costs that competitors charge. It allowed me to customize my site the way I wanted while providing a low-cost e-commerce solution to my client.

Pros

\- Customizability - Large availability of integrations + add-ons - Multiple payment integrations - Wordpress compatible

Cons

\- Not as easy to set up as a Wordpress site - Email customization options are limited but can be bypassed with 3rd party - Mobile app for managing store orders has not worked for me

Alternatives considered

[Shopify](https://www.capterra.com/p/83891/Shopify/)

Reason for choosing WooCommerce

As someone who loves Wordpress, WooCommerce allows me to have control of my site, provides more free options (integrations/plugins/apps), and does not make me have to pay monthly fees to run the e-commerce site.

Suppose I talk about my overall experience with this software. I will say it's perfect for a new developer or a new business start-up.If you want to make your website more neet, fast & ease to manage then it. You can go for the Shopify.

Pros

I liked the way ease of using it & its feature. If you have some little amount of knowledge about programming you can surely be able to you it. Very easy to customize the website as its also follow drag & drop. You can easily make new coupons for the products.

Cons

One thing that I don't like about it is that it is not offering too many features for a user to perform. At a found it seemed to be limited stuff.

### "Good Software for Integrating Shop into Website"

January 13, 2023

4.0

All in all a good product for running an online shop through, once you figure out the terminology and features it doesn't take long to get things up and running.

Pros

I liked how simple it was to import and implement the shop I already had, it makes it simple to add new items and manage inventory.

Cons

The shipping zones feature is not user friendly, I constantly have to adjust or fix shipping prices to items.

I really like it and will keep using it.

Pros

Woocommerce its the most developed software for e-commerces, which makes it great because it has several options for integrating with payment providers around the world.

Cons

It has several flaws, but the one I have experiences lately is that it counts pending sales as approved sales.

### "Good Product, but Steep Learning Curve"

June 17, 2019

4.0

I'm an experienced Wordpress and website designer, but this was my first time ever to set up an ecommerce site. So perhaps the complexity and difficulty I experienced was just a lack of my ecommerce experience. Now that I do understand how to set items up in the store, I love how Woo works.

Pros

Woo Commerce is very easily deployed to a Wordpress site. It's excellent for tracking sales and inventories and syncs up well with our shipping/label printing solution. The store looks very nice, too. For the shopper, it's simple, clean and intuitive.

Cons

Very difficult to figure out how to add more complex products such as items with multiple sizes and colors. Within products there are attributes and variations, and although I searched for tutorials and documentation, I couldn't figure out how to properly set these parameters without the help of an experienced Woo Commerce user.

### "Most straightforward eCommerce solution for Wordpress websites"

April 6, 2022

5.0

WooCommerce is the go to eCommerce solution for Wordpress. The main advantage is it's a free plug-in, and from there you can add free and premium plug-ins as required. It's not the easiest to style, but for a free plug-in it does the basics really well and allows you to get set-up as a eCommerce website quickly.

Pros

Very easy to set up and deploy. The basic functionality (without the premium add-ons available) do the job for many websites with no charge (other than payment fees).

Cons

As a developer, WooCommerce is not the easiest to style. I also use Divi which does help, but CSS knowledge is required to get WooCommerce looking just how you want it to.

Alternatives considered

[Shopify](https://www.capterra.com/p/83891/Shopify/)

Reason for choosing WooCommerce

Ease of integration with Wordpress and it's free.

### "Functional But Pricey"

March 5, 2023

4.0

Pros

WooCommerce is a slick Wordpress plugin that adds a ton of e-commerce functionality to a blog, enabling the easy addition of a storefront. For small businesses that don't need a lot of bells and whistles, it's surely a good deal.

Cons

The fees and add-ons add up! To really optimize WooCommerce appropriately for anything other than a very small storefront, you will have to pay for the functionality. All of those other payments add up and suddenly don't make it look as competitively priced as others. Plus, if you ever move from Wordpress to another CMS, you can't take your e-commerce store without, meaning you'll start from scratch setting it up.

It is easy to manage and it's automatic update is a welcome relief.

Pros

What endeared me to Woocommerce is it's superb inventory management system and integration of payment system.

### "Best ecommerce platform currently "

January 4, 2024

Overall, I think it is the best e-commerce solution right now with pretty much everything I need for an e-commerce application.

Pros

During the starting phase of my development journey, I used WooCommerce which was easy to add in WordPress. I loved its number of plugins and cool features which was easy to settle.

Cons

I felt that the UI of WooCommerce was a bit old.

### "Wordpress Retail Made Easy with Woo!"

November 8, 2020

5.0

WooCommerce makes it easy for us to save money on setting up our own online shops and shops for client websites as well. It's definitely a bonus that it can be integrated into any Wordpress at no additional cost because not everyone can afford to pay enormous fees every month to run their online store, especially for new online retail shops.

Pros

Integrating WooCommerce to setup an online shop on literally any Wordpress website is extremely convenient! We love that we don't have to use a separate platform to integrate a shop onto custom websites that we've built.

Cons

Sometimes WooCommerce slows down the overall loading speed of Wordpress websites. It could be slightly more simplified for the not so tech-savvy web developer.

### "Woo Commerce with SkuIQ integration"

May 10, 2023

4.0

eCommerce is hard, but as far as that category goes, WooCommerce is a great choice for a reliable integration for a WordPress site.

Pros

As a leading eCommerce brand focused on WordPress, many of the features were plug-and-play and worked right out of the box.

Cons

While it had a lot of features and was an affordable base price, many of the features we needed and added were paid plugins. It had a little bit of a nickle-and-dime approach feel, but is not uncommon or a deal breaker.

Reason for choosing WooCommerce

We had experience with WooCommerce already when it comes to implementation and that made it easier to recommend to the client as well as build with ourselves.

I enjoy WooCommerce for what it's worth. I've used WooMembers which is very helpful!

Pros

I like that it is easy to set up and allows you to have many different options when creating products.

Cons

There are a lot of add-ons required if we really wanted to have completely custom options. This can get pricey after a while.

### "Simple, effective"

January 20, 2023

Pros

Very easy to use software the brings shopping carts to something anyone can use. Basic features to extremely-advanced features that are necessary for orders.

Cons

Setup is sometimes cumbersome. Products don’t often display the way you’d expect. Custom emails are a challenge or ugly, without additional modification or other software.

### "Despite being the defacto ecommerce app for Wordpress sites - I find it hard to use."

February 28, 2021

3.0

I wish there was a better option than WooCommerce, but they've cornered the market for Wordpress-based e-commerce apps. I hope, as they continue to be popular, that the team will invest in making it more reliable and easier to customise.

Pros

In terms of installing, it's quite easy. As a WordPress plugin, it can be installed on your site in just a few clicks and it is reasonably easy to add products - so long as you're not looking for too many custom configuration options.

Cons

Like many Wordpress plugins, it has various conflicts with other apps, and it's hard to get your stores and individual items looking exactly the way you want unless you're willing to spend time really customsing things.

### "Woocommerce Review."

May 30, 2021

4.0

My experience with woo commerce is great because I can easily make my own e-commerce fast without a single line of coding.

Pros

It is easy to use. To open e-commerce with Woocommerces all you have to do is a plugin with WordPress. It has a free and paid plan. You are a beginner then start with a free plan and if you need some advanced features then you can use a paid plan. Which can help you to grow your business even more. It also supports third-party WordPress themes, plugin or extensions, etc. It's plugin update regulary. Which is good.It helps your ecommecres protected . Here you can sell any types of products like physical and digital products easily. You also can connect with different types of payment provider like Paypal, stripe etc.If you have any problem it is easy to find good tutorials all over the internet.

Cons

Only cons is it can take you sometime if you don't have any past experiences designing ecommecres website. But hey some practices make you perfect.

### "E commerce in Seconds"

November 11, 2021

4.0

Pros

The best part about WooCommerce is the Deployment/Integration. You may have no knowledge to set up an eCommerce store and WooCommerce just handles this for you in a matter of some seconds. The stripe integration with WooCommerce is now easier than before. Order and coupons management is pretty easy to use too.

Cons

It could have auto-updates, but every time you get an update, something messes up with WordPress and WooCommerce integration.
