You are good to go. Everything is super easy and the most important thing is it's improving daily, bringing new features every month. Thousands of third-party integration scope, highly customizable. It's awesome! Cons It doesn't pass transactions without an email ID, that's very bad. I mean there are add-ons using which phone login can be enabled and the email field can be made optional, but no option to put a null value for the email address field, which creates issues with payment gateways. We are in debt to our service providers who have supported us along the journey but all of this wouldn't have been possible if we hadn't put in the time to set up an eCommerce store. Pros When we had a few services we could sell, we looked at setting up an eCommerce store. Since our website already ran on WordPress, WooCommerce was the #1 suggestion. It was relatively easy to set up and ran without much trouble on a low-spec server. This meant a lot to us in terms of money saved on expensive infrastructure right from the beginning. Over time we have been able to scale our business and add more features. Cons There are times in the early days that we struggled with caching issues. That was more of an oversight from our dev team that was easily fixed with a few lines of code. The experience has been great otherwise. Cons Since WooCommerce is free, it seems to me that they handicap the plugin by providing just the minimum number of features to make it functional, and then offering to rent extensions to make it truly useful. And, the extensions they rent all have a yearly fee. FYI, many of the functions of their extensions can be found elsewhere for a one-time price which is usually less expensive than renting a similar extension from them. After being a using for over 5+ years we have decided to go a different route. Pros Woocommerce has the ability to upload thousands of products at once, the interface is good, it also has decent features such as having products with variables, and hundreds more. It integrates with most third party extensions. Cons What I like least is the expense of running a woocommerce store, while it is free to use the cost comes in with its third party apps. These expenses can run in to hundreds of dollars per year. Some of their third party apps are good, but are not cheap. Some of them have low star ratings. While there are premium or paid addons to extend its functionalities, the free Woocommerce bundle is quite adequate to provide the essentials needed to power e-commerce websites. Great product! Cons There are lots of things I believe Woocommerce can consider improving on, one being that some addons don't need a paid option. They should be considered as part of the basic needs of powering online stores. This is because other plugin developers have created free alternatives to what Woocommerce charge money for. Another observation is that the default Woocommerce interface is too basic with an old design. For most websites, WooCommerce is the perfect fit and with all the documentation and plugins out there, most needs can be covered pretty much out of the box. Pros If you have a WordPress site and you need a shopping cart, you'll probably be using WooCommerce. Sure, there's other options out there but WooCommerce is hands down, the best solution for you. The main WooCommerce plugin is free and that gives you all the common eCommerce options that you would generally need. Then, if you need extra functionality, there are literally hundreds of free and paid plugins that you can install to extend WooCommerce further. And, if you're a programmer (like me), you can write your own PHP to hook into WooCommerce for additional customization. For most businesses though, WooCommerce by itself, or with a few additional plugins (perhaps for custom shipping or payment options) is all that's needed and it's easy to install, configure, and manage. Cons WooCommerce is only for WordPress, since it's a WordPress plugin. Although you can really do a lot with WooCommerce and plugins for it, some of the plugins (like subscriptions at $199) can cost a pretty penny. Desde hace un par de años me ha permitido vender todo tipo de infoproductos, gestionar el inventario, los clientes, etc. Muy recomendable si tienes una cartera de productos amplia. Pros Lo mejor de Woocommerce es la posibilidad de ofrecer tus productos (digitales o físicos) desde tu propia página web. En mi caso, vendo infoproductos para estudiantes de español. Otra cosa que me encanta es que puedes adaptar Woocommerce a tu modelo de negocio, y ofrecer también servicios, o incluso una membresía a través de otros plugins de la "familia" woocommerce. En mi caso, utilizo Mailpoet para hacer email marketing, y como forma parte de woocommerce, el proceso se facilita mucho al ser parte del mismo ecosistema.
