Pros As a single person LLC compay owner and first time user setting up and doing payroll SurePayroll made it so easy to setup and complete it was such a time saver! I spent hours upon hours looking into doing payroll myself but in the end the cost of having Surepayroll just simply take care of it all was a no-Brainer Cons Being a one person LLC company I only pay myself 1 time a year, so the cost is pretty expensive for paying 1 person 1 time a year. Reason for choosing SurePayroll I talked to Gusto, and they did not offer the 1 time payroll option. and Surepay did. However surepay had a free trail going so it made it even cheaper so I went with SurePay Review Source JB Justin B. While I loved their short processing times for payroll, their outdated and slow backend technology, consistent 2-Factor Authentication not functioning as it should (continued to ask even after trusting device), and a lack of communication when additional fees were applied caused us to move elsewhere. In such a competitive industry, clear and transparent pricing in addition to stellar customer support is non-negotiable. I've been thrilled with both the clear pricing and the customer support we've received from a different provider. I can view old forms and documents and see all my vacation and holidays in one place to keep track! Cons I hate that when you log into (a saved device) it still says you have to send a verification code to your phone. The employees have commented that the employee portals are very user friendly. Cons More detail could be added to the paychecks, such as dates, for example. Cons Customer service is mediocre at best. Communication is mediocre at best. Follow up on reported issues is usually poor; I have to call back most of the time. Pros I like ease of use and the ability to make changes efficiently. The software is very intuitive. Cons Lately when I have needed to call customer service I have waited on hold for 20-30 minutes. It used to be 2-5 minutes. The extended hold times decreases the efficiency of the service. But that is my only complaint. Everything was good until late last year. Sure Payroll has gone down the hill!! They have been filing wrong tax reports, changing employee's tax status and not filing in several cases. Customer Service is so slow in responding. Going to switch to another company now. Pros Easy to use online software for payroll processing Cons Customer Service and Tax filings errors. The customer support made it simple. Cons When I no longer needed my employee, closing it down was harder than I realized at the outset. I ended up paying SurePayroll for a number of months just because I was nervous about figuring out the tax filings on my own (even though it probably wasn't difficult). Pros Ease of use. Very user friendly and intuitive. I was 'flying' immediately with no training. Cons There is no functionality that is missing. Office Manager Food & Beverages Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Can't get my W-2" March 4, 2019 1.0 Do not use Sure Pay. Pros The only pro is the wages actually went through. The ease of use and customer service are both terrible. Cons I am an employer who used SurePay for part of the 2018 tax year and due to the fact there are wages through them as well as our other payroll service provider, ADP, there was a mixup with wages and the wages from Surepay were not reported to ADP and now the W-2s do not show correct wage information. We have been working with them for months to get this cleared up and they are not delivering. Everyone is frustrated as they are unable to file taxes until this gets remedied. The customer service has been terrible. The most recent phone call was with a very rude and impatient man who refused to help. I was transferred to another woman who has pretended to help on the phone but no real action has been taken, at this point we have 2 cases open with them to get this fixed and we will keep trying but lesson learned, will never use them again. January 13, 2017 4.0 Overall not a bad value for the money as it's super inexpensive, but the customer support is super lacking. We ended up with a pretty big issue and support was non-responsive. Without their being an issue, the system is easy to use and good views and reporting for both employer and employees.
