### "Good experience: some growing pains, but worth it"

My company has been using Front Desk for about 9 months. We selected it over Mind Body and others because of its flexibility matched our business model, it is rock-simple to use for staff and clients, and the pricing model is aligned with how much the system is used. Those are the pros. The cons are as follows - It's a young company, and constantly adding features which has at times left things buggy. However, the team is responsive (EVERY fix request has been touched by a human the same day) and relatively proactive. - Individual reports can be customized, but I cannot customize a new report that pulls from multiple pre-set reports. - The built-in integrations with other software are limited to Mailchimp or Emma. I assume others are on their development timeline (financial reporting software, for instance) but are currently not live. We have been remarkably happy with the overall experience to date, certainly because of the simplicity and functionality, but most particularly because of the timeliness of responses to our questions.

Pros

Covers most of the functionality we need in a fairly straightforward way. Scheduling is easy, payments are super easy. API helps us create company specific reporting.

Cons

Edge cases (pro rating, discounts, etc) are complex. Non-engineers sometimes complain about usability and ability to cover our edge cases. For our basic (and edge) cases, we often need to directly train users - sometimes it's not obvious how to use for them.

Pros

It allows our franchisees to schedule classes, take attendance in classes, accept payments, view data that helps them run their business, and perhaps most of all, their support team is very fast, helpful, and nice when when we have issues that require their help.

Cons

As others have mentioned, reporting can be a bit slow at times. It would be nice if there were addtional payment methods as well.

Pros: Allows me to run my business where ever the job takes me - trailheads, cliffs, mountains, traveling to and from, and Friday night parties . I can schedule clients, schedule guides, create new programs, run payroll, run detailed reporting, as well as other needs. Cons: There's not many, but if I were to make a wish list- Have waivers expire after a program time so clients can re-sign when needed Have a way for minors to sign The waiver as well as their guardians Have a way to track locations within the notes or other method staff can add after the program has run The integration I heard about with Zen payroll A way to select clients out of the list and send a special email- from the front desk software A way to store PDF documents to each profile

Finally, a product for personal service businesses that is modern, built for mobile, and that is a PLEASURE to use. Just spending a couple of minutes with this platform will make you realize how far beyond its competitors it truly is. Their customer support is exceptional, and they're constantly adding new features to the product. If you offer appointments or group events of any kind, you HAVE to check these guys out.

Pros

Users found it relatively easy. I do believe it has a good amount of functions. Was not inherently difficult to utilize.

Cons

Pricing. Find it slightly high for what it offers. But never been a fan of "upgrade after upgrade." I want the tools up front and center. I do not like discovering what I want, costs more.

### "Beware VERY BAD CHOICE"

Same experience as other reviewers. They give you the sales pitch that the software will do everything specifically you need. When you find out it is a scam, they don't return phone calls, emails or any method of contact. Since they are ignoring our communications now to stop the free trial, we are going through the steps to block the credit card charge that other reviewers have warned about. Unfortunately, we have to wait until they use our credit card number to erroneously bill us to dispute. Just don't go there with this company.

We started using Front Desk in October 2013 and have seen improvements in both how the box is managed and how the clients interact with their memberships. It made daily processes such as new client intake or adjusting current memberships much easier. Also, tracking clients in every class and having the opportunity to follow up with them all within one program has been amazing for communication. While the reporting is sufficient it is not ideal, but Front Desk has been incredibly helpful with any issues we encounter as well as assuring us that they are aware of the problems. We are looking forward to being provided better functions for the program. Front Desk, in short, has made the sometimes overwhelming task of running our box simple and lets us focus on what is most important, the client.

Front Desk is a really cool, new tool! We have used this product for just a little while, and its been really great. Great way to communicate with the team!

Cons

Overall the product is fairly easy. However, in the beginning it was a little tricky to get used to. I would say the only con, would be not the easiest to use. But you will get used to it!!

Though I would love a feature or two that aren't yet available, the program is really excellent in its simplicity of setup and the intuitive nature of how to use it. Also, the Front Desk team regularly is rolling out new features so, in time, I'm sure they'll have an even stronger offering. After trying'and becoming VERY frustrated with'another program put out by a competing company, I'm a very satisfied Front Desk customer on all fronts!

Front desk is easy to set-up and get things started. It runs on many platforms, allowing it to be accessible nearly 24x7. It is vital to running our business. The weakest link for us so far is being able to enter quantities on merchandise purchases. For example, we sell FitAid at our gym. Rather than charge for each purchase we tally all the purchases for a month (e.g. 8) and then charge the client at the end of the month. In Front Desk we have to duplicate the purchase of a single can of FitAid 8 times.

We went through the demo and set up a trial event. Easy to customize and set up. Thought this would be perfect solution for us, until we discovered there is no way to print or export any information about attendees. A pleasant customer service conversation confirmed that the solution was designed as a mobile-only solution. We need a solution that prints rosters, exports attendee data for name badges, etc. Surprising that this basic functionality is not included. Really too bad, because it had everything else on our requirements list.

I had Mind/Body in the past and switch after poor service from them, My web designer suggested Frontdeskhq and I am so glad he did. I have contacted customer service many times (sorry) but have always felt like they truly wanted to help me, even if they didn't have the function I wanted, they made sure to tell me how to use what I had the best way. Its half the price of mind/body and twice as good! I feel like Frontdeskhq is a partner in my company not a software program I pay to use. They want me to succeed as much as I do.

Extremely user-friendly and easy to navigate. Love the client notifications/reminders, and integration with MailChimp and the access to a merchant account. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I had Mindbody for 2 years and was quite unsatisfied for multiple reasons. I switched to Front Desk and have been SO happy! There is a smaller crew of staff so you actually get to know a few key people who can help you with questions, etc. The program is easier to use and overall has a better interface. I also love that there is a photo feature so that you can put a face to a name with your clients!

Pros

Simple to use. Not as many features as I needed, but good if you're looking for a basic system to run with your front desk.

Cons

They do not follow up once you sign up. Management is impossible to get in contact with and the representative sell you into signing contracts that lock you in. Do not use. There are a ton of other, better softwares out there.
