Great product for going to trade shows and selling products there remotely and when they don't buy from the website. It is quick to make an amount they need to pay.

Pros

I like that I only had to pay for the unit that hooks to my phone and then there is no monthly fee unless I need more features.

Cons

No way to take a payment without or with bad internet and then hold for later until there is service.

### "Lucky As A 4 Leaf Clover"

After dealing with terminals that would shut down or restart randomly or glitch and end up charging a client multiple times, Clover has been a huge, HUGE change for the better. Customer service has always been quick to help and they are always positive and pleasant to speak with. Clients comment all the time how quick and hassle less check out is and our older clients love how visible the screens are. I will always highly recommend using Clover.

Pros

There are so many things that I love about Clover, from the ease of use, the simple and quick payment processing with card payments, the instant and ready to help customer support and just over all financial management.

Cons

So far, there has been nothing about Clover that I do not like. I have used several other credit card terminals and online platforms that are subpar compared to Clover.

The customer service is horrible for speed, we have an issue that has been in their hands for many many months, and advanced support is not able to solve it. Their Customer Support seems very knowledgeable about how to actually fix their own products.

Pros

Ease of use for administration and the team. Ability to have reports auto emailed to the appropriate people.

Cons

Buyer Beware! We had an issue where our team could not redeem the reward for new customers on one of our replaced clover flex devices. No big deal, we called clover support, they took down a bunch of information, and we waited for a reply. It went months and haven't heard a thing. When I called to check on the case number, they told me that it was closed. Pretty strange since no one called me and we were still having the issue. They reopened the case and we continued to wait, patiently. It got to be the 6 month mark and their solution was to reset the device. This didnt work so we asked for a replacement under warranty. We were advised that we were 2 weeks out of our warranty expiration! Seriously?! We gave the courtesy of giving their team 6 MONTHS to fix the problem and they won't honor the warranty? Fast forward a month and the more I thought about it the more angry it would make me. We are a multi-location business with many many clover devices, all of them work perfectly with the rewards program. I enter another support ticket, hoping someone will be able to help. I receive an email stating there is no item attached to that reward. Impossible since the other 20-some devices work just fine. I follow their steps and now we have 1 device that works and the rest do not! I called support to bring this to their attention and they tell me they will get back to me in 3 business days. They do not care about the merchants. We WILL be switching to Square.

It's good, it does what it says it does, payments run without trouble and money auto batches.

Pros

Good simple interface, kind of like a phone, app marketplace is varietal for your needs. Good customer service, great features and simple connections. Software customizable

Cons

Every machine needs to be programmed to one sole processor. If you switch then you have to buy a brand new one. I wish the machines came in black.

I have been with Clover about 4 years now, constant rate increases, they upcharge for every little feature. They are constantly changing the plans and rates and my CC fees have gone through the roof. I am now paying over 10% cc processing fees. They bait you in with low initial fees then start jacking them up over time. Buyer Beware!

Pros

Cant really find any pro's. Thier Customer service is the worst. Software is glitchy and difficult to use. Hardware very cheap, sound stopped working first month. Pricing is low to start but then they slowly jack your rates over time.

Cons

Everything about the system is poor. The equipment is cannot be reused, don't buy used equipment, they will refuse to activate it. Reports are always missing key details. If you want a complete system, you will have to purchase many upgrade apps with high monthly fees, just to have the most basic of features. The company is 1 step of from being a complete scam.

Tried out lightspeed and it has different issues. Again poor customer service, not as bad as clover but very limited hardware and poor cc processing system that just wouldn't work most of the time.

bad service bad service unit failed and they did not replace failed unit I switched services and they kept charging me , It is impossible to cancel without supreme run around and they tried to phish me for more info to give me a bonus !))bucks for cancelling but i had to switch to another recorded line to give my bank info they already should have had

was recommended by a banker because it was less bad than others ,However she said it was more expensive

Cons

Cannot get customer service to help cancelling my Clover service fee even iI stopped using it 3 years ago and they put me on hold I was still charged monthly fee me Chat helper gives another phone number when you want to cancel, They cannot cancel (they still charge you )and cancellation attempts leads you to call center that wants to update your banking info so they can give you 100 $. bonus for cancelling Too sketchy and they still do not cancel ,

### "Clover is Criminal"

Clover has stolen $35k from my company in the past two weeks. We started to notice tiny rejected transactions repeatedly, then more, then more. Contacted Clover and the account rep said the reason we were not getting serviced is because we only had 300 attempts whereas other accounts were having the same issue for 10's of thousands of attempts. They have withdrawn $35k fraudulently directly from our account despite them having our POS Systems shut down for weeks this month. There has been zero communication. They will not respond. I fear we have been defrauded by Clover and would recommend to stay as far as you can from this criminal corporation.

Pros

Customer service is the worst ever. The hardware itself is nice.

Cons

The fact that they steal your money without any response other than, "our security division is looking into it." How can you not tell me why the hell you took $35k out of our account in winter, for a landscape supplies center in Edmonton, AB, Canada, we had almost 0 sales this month.

Have had no issues with Clover. Been a user for 2 years. If your a mobile user there is nothing better.

Pros

The Clover Flex handheld is the best! We use clover because they have the built in technology for cellular signal into there device. Other competitors do not. Works great for mobile users.

Cons

Dashboard and menu items could be more fluid. Statements on the backend can be a little difficult to follow.

Not good. It was good for a while but the random cutting us off was unacceptable and demand for continued lease payments is exceptionally unacceptable.

Pros

There is absolutely nothing different about this processor except that are the only ones who ever ripped us off.

Cons

They randomly sent us a notification of stopping payment service. Kept our customers transactions and then expect us to finish paying on a lease of equipment we can no longer use. Horrible customer service, can randomly cut you off and keep your money?? not sure how this is not criminal, but will be reporting to the Attorney General of our state.

We switch ed from Quickbooks POS to Clover years ago. Clover has been great! It was easy to load all inventory from a spread sheet. A few items needed correction after transfer but for the most part the transition was incredibly easy. It also has saved us a ton of money with the credit card processing fee feature. I like it and do refer it to friends and others in business.

Pros

I currently use Clover for my retail wholesale business. I have multiple locations. The system works great for us!

Cons

Backend work generally requires a call to customer service. But for the most part it is easy to use.

I opened a store in the local mall with very little time for buildout and hire let alone learn then train new staff on a POS system I didn’t know myself yet. But thankfully the equipment came on time and was such a breeze to learn that I thanked them then and I thank them now

Pros

Ease of use. I have a retail store and some of the employees are a bit older and some are high school age. But no matter what group they fall in they all get the flow of the system

Cons

The processing charges. I’m not going to lie for anyone. The ease of use is offset by the cost of use. But still well worth it.

### "Wouldn't suggest clover"

Terrible and the customer service is not great.

Pros

I did not like anything about clover and wouldn't suggest it to anyone.

Cons

Customer service and the communication was terrible always. The machines were always loosing power and shutting off regardless of being charged. Had to get that fixed twice. They switched my business name on file and my clients thought there was fraud with their transactions. That never got resolved before leaving. They never apologized for the mistake on their end. I had to call consistently telling them I sent the cancellation form as I was getting emails everyday to cancel when I had sent it out 4 times. Finally called and admitted they received it but hadn't gotten back to me. I'm also passed my 5 year contract and they harass to pay $500 .

Did not have a good experience with clover from the machines not working well constantly turning off despite being fully charged. Was difficult to turn back on. My user name and business name got switched somehow and I had clients wondering about fraud on their account that never got resolved before leaving. The company did not apologize for the mistake on their end. Also leaving after the 5 year term being told I need to pay 500 makes zero sense.

it is a fraud, with mistakes of double charges, which you spend hours to fix, talking to absolutely unprofessional support

Cons

everything, support is awful, and you spend precious time being transferred from one person to another with no help

Register was okay, modifiers and categories are a little messy. Good for restaurants because they don’t have to deal with barcodes. Inventory system is weak

Cons

Limited functionalities, many pos systems are way ahead of the game. i have had over 20 units throughout my business venture and I got to say, they are a ripoff. You buy system, if you move to another merchant you have to buy a new system. Money spent wasnt worth it.

Overall, clover was easy to use, easy to interact with the clients with and kept the clean, digital look of our salon without a bulky, outdated POS system

Pros

Clover is easy to use, makes payment processing super simple and has a great customer support if you ever need it. Having a more digital point of sale helps with the customers as well when completing their sales.

Cons

We had to type in the amount of the transaction which would sometimes result in an incorrect amount being charged to the client instead of connecting with our software to pull up the amount automatically.

Good, have used them at our veterinary practice for the past 4 years. Customer service and sales are easy to work with when we need to replace/upgrade

Pros

They handhelds are easy to transport and are visually appealing, especially with the new upgrades. Easy to use and print end of night reports, easy for techs to bring into rooms to check clients out

Cons

It is to easy to accidentally refund a clients card if you hit the wrong button, wish that it would connect to our PIM system (AviMark). No stylus or pen provided for clients to sign their name
