I love clover overall. It is simpler than other systems my company has had us use in the pass but when it crashes, it crashes hard and slows us down. I feel like it glitching is now a part of my sales process and use the time for lead gen but I should not have to adapt and plan for a tech crash.

Pros

It is very user friendly when it works. I like how easy payments go through but it does not always read scans and will sometimes add extra charges while processing.

Cons

It crashes very often. I have had it pull up signatures but the pad would not let me sign. Often it is a 50/50 chance it will even turn on properly. Our IT team is at a point where they said it was a common problem that we just have to live with.

Overall Clover has been a good, reliable POS. It is a bit pricey and to purchase yourself out of the contract costs a lot too, but we don't plan on switching at this time

Pros

We use clover as our POS and we really enjoy it. There is a client facing part of the POS so if the want to leave a tip we don't need to ask them, creating an awkward situation. Clover makes it easy to complete the day's sales and close the batch. It also helps us track tips and commissions for each of our employees. It's an overall great system to have

Cons

I wish there wasn't a contract as we want the option to switch if we find something that better fits our needs

HORRIBLE customer service when you need to change or add anything to your account

Pros

I like the service when it works, it's easy to use and integrates with our software, just don't make any changes to your account

Cons

Cardconnect support is non existent - spent 6 weeks trying to change bank accounts with no help, support or answers. Customer support is somewhere else, can't get anyone to help they just read from a script, don't listen, and have no capacity to help

Everything. Reps take forever to get back to you. Nothing works like I was promised

Pros

Not much I was told it would work for my retail location but it’s designed for a coffee shop.

Cons

Sales rep, doesn’t do what I said I needed. Doesn’t fully sync product info into QuickBooks. Only sales no actual inventory or what was sold. Had to be done manually. The company doesn’t stand behind their product. Says final sale even though website says 60 day money back guarantee.

How easy it is to find the items Im looking for. It is very organized. Very easy to use. Im able to train other new employees very easily on the clover due to its organization.

Cons

The slowness of the credit card part. Guest have to put in there credit card several times before the chip reads it and that's a headache.

It met our needs when we opened our business but quickly realized that trying to enhance the basic solution with kds, online delivery and ordering would be up to me to figure out.

Pros

Very easy to install and set up and creating the menu was simple but simple comes with basic functionality

Cons

Terrible customer support and hard to find anyone willing to help integrate ecosystem partners with our basic clover pos

### "Basic POS"

If you need a mobile solution and already have a solid deal worked out with Fist Data, then this is an ok option, just expect to pay more than the sales person makes it seem. If you run a full service restaurant and want to be able to catch employees stealing from you, then move on.

Pros

The best thing about this POS is the 4G connectivity, which was a requirement when our company was doing the football concessions for a large university stadium. It was simple to set up items and create a functional setup quickly.

Cons

This is one of the POS made by a credit card company; you do not get a choice in your credit card processor. For us, we happen to already use this processor and have a great deal set up with them, but others will likely end up paying more than expected when they get their cc processing bill. There are several charges for having this type of system that they neglect to tell you about, so it end up much more expensive than you expect. Also, the reporting is weak. We had some issues with tracking some lost sales and were unable to resolve it due to the poor tracking capabilities. For reference, we usually use Aloha for our concepts which has more reports than you could possibly ever need and would have had not issues tracking the missing sales.

Clover merchant system has tons of apps that are created by third parties as well as clover. There is a lot of different options and features with this product that allows you to quickly Easily retarget your customers.

Cons

Clover doesn’t have many cons. The online store you’re able to create for your store doesn’t have enough templates and features available yet.

look nice, easy to use..................

Cons

Customer service is TERRIBLE. from installment through to day to day issues. If you email a problem takes up to a week for someone to get back to you. If you call with an issue you are usually on hold for over an hour. Not great if you are having a problem in the restaurant

Cons

I don't like that you can only view 3 months of transactions at a time.

Pros

Nothing to say. Really disappointing Cheap price, but no customer service and information is not real

Cons

Attention I have been doing business with clover for a year. It is said that payments that are taken during the day are deposited into the account the next day, however this is not always the case. Yesterday, I received an email asking me to answer a form containing more than 15 questions, concerning the source of the funds. I was also asked to send my account statement, customer invoice and customer contact details. 72 hours later, the money is still blocked and I am told that it will be processed urgently without follow-up... in addition to being very uncomfortable to send all his information by email. I've had a business for almost 4 years and have always used payment terminals, but I don't recommend Clover. Really disappointing service.

Now, with Clover, we have a clover mini and the POS is great,. We needed a system that could print paper receipts.

Pros

We switched and saved. Before, we were paying a certain percentage across the boards, with Square. Now we have great fees and pricing with Clover.

Cons

The thing I like the least, which is common with systems like Clover, it took a while to get acclimatized and for funds to make it to our account in a timely manner.

My overall experience was very positive.

Pros

I like Clover's discount for non-profit institutions like ours. We got the POS system on a 50% discount and they waived the monthly fees. We only have to pay fees per transaction.

Cons

While we do not have to pay a monthly fee, we do have to pay $0.10 per debit transaction. This was higher than compared debit companies, but in the long run it will still be worth the amount we use it.

It's a great pos system. I like that is easy to use and add details.

Pros

It is very easy to adjust your prices and add menu items. The orders store and you can put customer names in. Adjusting tips is easy as well. I also live the fingerprint login.

Cons

I have had problems with the screen when cleaning it even with locked. I believe it's best to turn it off to clean.

Pros

I use this product since 2 years and for small business it is very good specially to process payments easy way. You can manage different users and assign roles, see transactions, refunds, sales, reporting, among others.

Cons

Using Clover POS you need Internet connection in order to process payments, otherwise you won't be able to hold or take any money from your customer.

Contactless payments have been helpful. It also has the ability to read without swiping/inserting card.

Pros

I enjoy the bluetooth capabilities of this software/card reading block. It made for contactless payments in a pandemic reality that much easier

Cons

Connecting to bluetooth is a bit difficult, though. The software also has the option to filter old dates to review old transactions, but for some reason it doesn't work properly and my system always crashes when I attempt. Interface could be more customer friendly and easy to read, but that's a minor issue.

Clover has allowed us to expand our Bar to a restaurant as well. It also allows for easy management of employees and inventory.

The POS hardware was slim and nice looking.

Cons

This was a hard sale from the beginning. They roped me in with promises and demonstrations of greatness. I bought the system only to find out that most of what they promised could only be accomplished with additional purchases.

Great. Decent rate and modern interface. It was easy to train staff.

Pros

Excellent hardware based on Android. Easy to understand interface. Compatible with additional apps to enhance base function. Easy to use web interface.

Cons

Was lacking built in email invoicing function. There are no major issues otherwise. It has been updating occasionally.
