Pros I have had limited use with this at my work, but my experience has been a positive one. Payments are easily taken through CloverMini and the portable CloverFlex and CloverGo are also available for use. It is extremely simple to use from a user standpoint; the UI is simple and esthetic. Cons Not much to dislike so far in my limited use. Clover has a lot of promise and I will update as needed when something negative is found! Review Source DN Darnell N. Tax service is mostly seasonal (6 months out of 12) and Clover has 12 month payments. This was not communicated to me by my Clover sales representative. When I logged into my bank account there were over $500 in fees that Clover had amassed against my account. It took me 9 months to clear these fees. After sending back my mostly unused equipment, Clover's collections department settled for a $600 payment to close my account. I paid it and two weeks later received another bill in the mail for $234. They said that I still had a balance with their service dept. They removed all of the fees and reduced the bill to $65, for equipment that I barely used in the first place. I would not recommend Clover to other small business owners. Its a complete package. Cons For new users can get confused in the menu trying to find something , but its something you can get usw to fast. Owner Retail Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Clover for retail" November 12, 2016 1.0 Very disappointed with the system. For a retail store, the system lacks in several areas. The process for updating large quantities of inventory is not very user friendly, the system is unable to track inventory for returns and exchanges, we don't have the ability to view inventory transactions and see the history of an item. The system continually has problems processing payments on the mini requiring us to use the swipe feature on the clover, which is not recommended by clover. It seems most of the retail features are an additional app fee, making the somewhat affordable system no longer affordable with all the 'additional charges'. The printer required by the software doesn't allow us to customize our labels so we are forced to use another program to print our price labels (which requires another step in our inventory management department). Pros This come with its own hardware and programmed for your store right out of the box, you tell them what you need and it's taken care of before the hardware is shipped to you. tons of good reporting features built in as well. We are a Non-profit and have a great relationship with clover, love the software and ease of use. Cons this setup can be a little pricey due to needing to use their hardware, but well worth the investment in my opinion Review Source KN Kathy N. We took our inventory from old POS, put on flash drive and installed it right into out new Clover. Adding new products to inventory is simple. My staff needed minimal training. They're all thrilled with this new POS. Fastest check out in all the years we've been using POS in our four stores. It takes up minimal counter space, so there's more room for impulse sales. It's very attractive on your counter. Employees clock in and out on clover. As the owner of the company, I can sign in remotely and see our sales in real time without disturbing my staff with phine calls. Clover tracks inventory and gives many customizable reports. October 6, 2017 4.0 Pros The ability to search, update and look at donor history is really great. The reporting and ability to sort by date range, amounts, campaigns is very helpful. You can even sort by failed donations. Reporting makes or breaks software and Clover has simple but good reporting! And you can process CC and ACH donations. Also, their customer service has been great and very timely to respond. Cons Clover isn't a full service Database if that's what you need but if you're looking for a simple way to process recurring and one time gifts this will work. Clover was not a good fit for my company Pros I only considered Clover for my business because I saw a few other businesses in my area using the software. So I thought it may have been good.... wrong Cons The price was much higher compared to their competitors. The hardware that you can get with the system is modern looking but not very practical. All all of the client that come into our establishment are impressed by Clovers sleek and modern look. Also it's so modern and cleaning looking. It's always suggesting other cool apps they have. It utilizes Apple Pay, and has a built in scanner, which we don't use so I'm not sure how good that part is. Also with the customers picking if they want a reciept or not we save so much paper it's very rare someone wants a reciept. I've heard it's pricy but don't know much about that. Other than that I haven't had an issues with it. Pros Favorite part is the tipping system, people are 75% more inclined to tip something vs. the old receipts and filling in a tip. Just flip the screen around and they do the tip signature and choose how they want a reciept. Review Source Phyllis C. So, while it's a good thing, my business is so small that I'm not seeing the benefit of it yet as most of my customers pay by invoice rather than credit cards. Pros The set-up was good. They provide customer service if you need it who will help you with the set-up process, but their online platform as well as the handheld device is laid out in a way that is easy to figure out (plus, the instruction manual is helpful). This provides daily reporting, data tracking, a tool to build customers (at extra cost), and more. I like that it allows me to use the software on my laptop or on the device to take credit card payments, checks, and cash. Cons To use the other great features that could enhance my business come with extra costs. So, I don't use those. Review Source Ryan R. We went from an archaic system to Clover and it was a good move. It was a very easy transition and customers as well as employees love how easy it is to use. I particularly like that we can print our daily totals and see a breakdown of transactions at whatever point we choose. Pros Machine is great. Easy set up. The feature of being able to enter an invoice number is time saving. Cons The worst customer service I have experience.
