My company was previously using an old merchant service that upon changing to Clover it has made any credit card transaction super easy for our business

Pros

Very easy to use, all transactions are save in my tablet and if any discrepancy I can easily backtrack. Trying it as a 30 day free trial but I will definitely be purchasing this software.

Cons

I Just started using this software and as of yet, I have absolutely no Cons when it comes to this software.

Pros

i like being able to change my prices when ever i need it and without anyones help. i can just login and do any changes i like. it also saves everything to the cloud so nothing will be lost.

Cons

after using it for almost one year now, it got a little bit slow but cleaning the old files does the job.

First all it is important to note that once you sign an agreement with a Clover provider, the hardware and processor is locked forever. If you pay cash upfront, you won't be locked in to paying, but you still cannot switch merchant service or sell the hardware; thus the hardware is all but worthless. The overall Clover support is TERRIBLE! The Clover System is relatively easy to implement and use. It works fine for low volume businesses.

Pros

Pretty easy to use.

Cons

Poor customer service. Must add on third party apps to make the system usable. Some of the third party apps are expensive. Some of the apps will mess up your entire system; it doesn't seem like Clover tests the apps prior to publising.

Clover was able to solve the problem of safely invoicing and receiving payments from clients. It also automatically send reminder emails to clients, so payment is always received.

Pros

I like how this software gave me more opportunity to easily invoice clients and guarantee safe payment.

Cons

At first it was hard to explain how to use the software from someone who does not actively use the app, but it still easy to use.

Great product, very easy to adopt and it's taking some market share.

Pros

user friendly interface, portable so it allows the POS to go to the customer and not the way around, tablet-based... a smart POS for retail that integrates with merchant's inventory and order taking.

Cons

initial setup can be a hassle, inventory and menu configurations will need some time configuring. Electronic transaction Pricing is not rated in this review.

Overall still a great value on this products investment

Pros

Definitely a wide variety of options for categorizing our inventory, organizing and pricing our items, and categorizing our sales.

Cons

I assume the reason is that since it’s such a well known POS company, it receives a lot of call and a large staff, so maybe they aren’t always the most knowdgable, patient, or helpful. But if you learn it’s system fast, you won’t really need them. To be fair with the major issues like outages or system updates they help you right away, it’s usually the small and intricate details that they have trouble helping on

### "Great POS for small business"

Pros

This system is super easy to use! It has all the functions for reporting and refunding directly built into it. It comes it 3 different models to help fit your business needs. You can also set which users have access to different apps on the machine. The machine also offers offline payments when your WiFi isn't running well!

Cons

Sometimes the machine will run slowly when the WiFi isn't running properly.

### "Beware of Clover"

If you have the option to use a different service do so before you regret it. I was signed up for them as a complementary (obligatory) package of my checking account. Their service is unreliable. My business had to start using PayPal (I'm not getting paid to mention them). Clover services were masked underneath the bank's "Merchant Service". Once their service proved useless I tried closing the account to find out there is a fee for early termination or a monthly fee that I need to pay until the 3-year contract ended. The contract went on as the bank account forced me to maintain it. Two months before the 3-year contract ended they charge the termination fee. Now I'm stuck in their collection department which is efficient, unlike their customer service.

Clover is an efficient product that reduces the amount of time to accept a payment. You are able to access previous transactions for patient names and amount taken.

Cons

When it comes to the Clover app, I have nothing bad to say about it.

Pros

I like that it allows me to earn points from local businesses. It helps that I can get free things the next time I order from them.

Cons

Sometimes I forget to mention it to the staff when I go into places to eat. Unfortunately, then I cannot use the points. If there was a way for us to sign-in when we get there that way we already have the choice to use our points.

we use this for patients co-pays and they are able to insert their card without us every having to have contact with anyone which in covid times is nice.

Pros

Clover has the best interface and is very user friendly. The function to do reports at the end of the day is also great!

Cons

I had some integration issues to strat out with but customer service was able to get everything taken care of. since then we have had no issues.

Great for anyone needing to take payments on the go and very easy to use.

Pros

Recently my store started doing mobile grooming. Clover is perfect for being able to accept credit and debit cards on the go so people have options other than cash or check. It makes our lives easier and our clients lives as well.

Cons

Had trouble logging in at first and setting up a passord.

### "Why Does It Not Rotate?"

I wish it would rotate to landscape. I would be "all in."

Pros

It looks super sleek and the option to use it on your own device was quite appealing. Set up was easy. I was able to upload all of my items and services without issue.

Cons

It doesn't rotate to landscape. I couldn't believe it. I uploaded everything was ready to go and then went to rotate to use the Ipad the way I do with all my other merchant services and it didn't turn. I contacted customer service, I gave feedback, I asked questions. Nothing changed. I ended up dumping it.

Cons

the back end of clover is a little more complicated when integrating with a third party system, like booker.

sleek and connects to third party booking software, but acts up constantly with difficult support staff to resolve.

Pros

the clover pos syncs with our booking software, so that is a plus. it has a sleek design as well. it also prompts the client to tip, so we don't have to awkwardly ask.

Cons

freezes up about 10% of the time so we have to revert to a backup POS device. support is very frustrating when something goes wrong also... such a process to resolve issues.

Good secure system that works with Apple Pay, Android auto and etcetera.

Pros

Great for business that uses credit cards. There's also a website of theirs where you can scan your network to see if you are PCI compliant.

Cons

There is no iPad systems. Wish they would make devices (iPads) that have iPad OS. It would have a smoother UI and less crashes, but know apple and their strict rules, that might not happen.

Amazing app! I love the fact that I can earn points when I visit my favorite restaurants! It is also a safe an d secure app!

Cons

The only issue I've had is retrieving my password. I was able to get it resolved quickly. I love this app.

For the most part I like Clover. It is better and easier to use than previuos programs I have used in the past.

Pros

I like how they come with tablets for the servers to take with them to the tables. also, you have the capability to swipe customers cc right at the table and prints the receipt.

Cons

What I liked the least was not adding modifiers for the food. it makes it slower to do what you meed to do.

I love the concept of the app and that it makes it easy to redeem codes for points (even free stuff)!

Pros

I have only used this for one business in particular, but I love that you can redeem codes and even check-in on the app.

Cons

I don't have any negative comments to say about this software. If that changes, I will update my review..but I doubt it will!!

Pros

It's generally easy for customer and staff, mostly like the reporting aspects. The mobile Clover is very handy.

Cons

Customer service is awful to nonexistent, when I have questions it is next to impossible to get them answered in a timely manner.

### "Great Handheld Credit Card Machine"

Pros

The Clover Flex is a great handheld piece of equipment that we use daily at our property to take credit card payments on the go for our various events and activities. It has enabled us to serve more customers since most people don't carry cash anymore. The handheld is easy and convenient. We are able to run a report to track the different events we sell and report to our accountant easily.

Cons

There was a bit of a learning curve to setup the different categories, but once we figured it out it has run smoothly

So far so good. Low percentage taken out of my transactions.

Pros

I like the ease of taking credit card payments and that I can see all my transactions from the handheld with out an issue and that I can keep it all password protected

Cons

Not so much the software, with the handheld is a bit bulky for use. I think it could be much smaller.
