Pros I needed software to allow me to protect PDF files to prevent opening by an unintended party. I was able to add just the security module . It is also a plus that it includes a PDF print device, especially since I am still using Windows 7. Cons Actually there are a few things. 1) It does not remember the directory used for new output files. 2) Highlighting is not included with the FREE functionality. Soda PDF met those expectations and much more. Soda PDF enables me to create a PDF from a file, my clipboard, or even from a blank. Right on the home page there is a support link as well as a video product tour. It is very well design and user friendly. I had no issues doing what I needed to do. Cons Probably what I like the least is just a personal opinion and a concern I have with most software. There seems to be so many features and functions that it would be impossible to learn it all and use it all. That sometimes makes it difficult to grasp exactly what needs to be accessed to get something accomplished. As an E sign program I have lost days and blown out deadlines EVERY time I use this program. It is always trying to get more money with sneaky adds, despite paying for a Pro subscription. it is by far the most horrendous program I have ever used. stay clear of this program! after spending an hour setting signature fields on a document the program kicked me out saying I have to pay more to send the documents - even though I'm already a pro user. It is very fast to compile your data and create professional looking booklets absolutely free. Also, you can use this online without the need to download software. I attempted to cancel my trial. I later received an email that said I needed to cancel my free trial. I attempted to cancel again. I received a charge for a membership and contacted their chat and asked for a refund. I was told that I agreed to the sale and that they would not give me a refund. I eventually was given a refund after SEVERAL minutes of heated debate where I was told that this was my fault and that the company should not have to refund me.ANYTHING this service does can be done better by a different PDF editor. Don't give them your time or money. Pros Honestly, I have nothing positive to say about this company. Cons Their software is glitchy and their customer service is abysmal. It does not let me modify my PDF document. It either generates a faulty edit (not the right font, garbled lay out) or it simply crashes unexpectedly. I am a paying customer. I started using the online version that did not work at all, so I decided to install a windows version on my PC, which completely defeats the purpose of this purchase because I wanted an online tool. Even the PC version is completely unusable. It crashed repeatedly, making it even worse than the online version. Pros ease of use if it worked, not too expensive at $40/year Cons This product is the most buggy piece of software I have used in many years.
