Then we wrote into support and they started sending articles about how to remove links from the pdf. Total waste of money for us and very unhappy with the purchase. Apparently I didn’t cancel it when I cancelled the rest. I immediately contacted Soda and after a week or so they politely replied with ‘tough luck’ I believe that their system is set up to do exact exactly this on renewals. Pros Very little - it did the job it was meant to but not with the ease of competitors Cons It was very clunky to use and at times frustrating. The free plan is limited in what it offers. Like any other PDF reader. Pros I love that it had a free version so that I could test it first to see if it would work for my business needs. I was able to merge and convert my PDFs, and organize and delete pages. Cons There are more glitches compared to adobe, but at a slightly cheaper price, you have to take the good with the bad. I canceled/returned the purchase, based on their return policy. It has been nearly 3 weeks and they refuse to refund the purchase price. They are not honest and above board in honoring their return policy, wanting to hang on to the funds. Pros I did not like it at all. I tried it, had problems and support was not available. It has a desktop version but also a mobile application browser-based, making it a great choice for mobile users. Cons the integration with the cloud can be seen as a benefit but in certain cases it can also be seen as a limit, when product features exist exclusively in the cloud then this can be an issue. Pros It is fairly straight forward to use but don't count on the free version to be able to do much of anything you really need to do. Cons This program runs fairly slowly and I keep having sign in issues, which although are usually resolved fairly quickly are super frustrating when I find out mid process I've been signed out and my account isn't recognized, especially when working under a deadline or time crunch and the free version can't do what I need. Pros Nothing, I didn’t use it once I discovered the bait-and-switch. Cons On the front page of their website they advertise that Soda has OCR. Click buy it now, and you are presented with two options: Home or Premium version, nothing else. I bought the premium because one would expect OCR is included in that version. It is not. After you pay them, then you get an email where they offer to sell you OCR for another sum of money. I asked for a refund instead as I am not a satisfied customer and it looks like I’ll have to do a chargeback because they haven’t issued a refund and its been over two weeks. You cannot install the program without approving "Block dangerous and phishing scams" and "Stop websites from tracking you online". It is very suspicious that these cannot be unchecked. Read the light grey policy text: "By selecting 'Install Adware Web Companion', I agree to install Adaware Web Companion, set my homepage, new tabs and default search engine to Bing or capatible web browsers, and consent to its End User License Agreement and privacy policy." Pros The price point is good and has many features that work well (ie. merging documents, removing pages etc.) Cons I found that the program will often freeze, and cause the PDf to be unusable. This would result in having to restart the program and use the "Repair" function that is built into the program. Unfortunately, I've had to do this several times in the last 2 months. The feature set is quite good. It allows for creating pdfs from different document types, editing them (adding/deleting pages), extracting images, and quite a bit more. Cons Converting pdfs to Excel. It generates hundreds of columns and the need for some very sophisticated excel formulae to get all the figures aligned vertically, without which the Excel file is barely usable. Cons After I purchased I tried multiple times to try and download. However I found out after I paid that they don’t have a desktop version for Mac. I thought I needed an add on and went to purchase this it ended up charging me a full subscription twice. I tried using the online version however when doing simple editing an error kept on popping up. Could not talk to anyone in support because there is no ability to do so. No chat only email.
