### "Powerful tool for professional design. Way better than Canva for certain things"

January 3, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience has been very good. It is an industry standard tool for professional design, but it takes time and practice to master.

Pros

I like how powerful Illustrator is for vector design and illustration. It gives a lot of control and precision for creating logos, icons, and graphics.

Cons

The learning curve is high and it can be overwhelming at the beginning. Also, it requires a good computer to run smoothly.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Adobe Illustrator

For editing and creating has many options for no extra cost.

### "Daily use of Illustrator "

March 20, 2025

4.0

I've been working with Illustrator from past 3 years now. I use it for mainly printing purpose. I use it daily because it has feature of picture editing as well as layers with sub layers, which makes it easier to track the work.

Pros

Because it is all in one kinda app. You can edit pictures, writing documents, make 3D objects. I like the features like smoothening and pen tool. I use them a lot on daily basis. Also the perspective grid makes it easier to understand the view. And all the small changes in tools which can improve its quality.

Cons

Few bugs are there while saving the file. That is annoying.

Because photoshop is easier for image editing for sure but for vector graphic part illustrator gives you more freedom.

### "Great for Apparel Design and Patterns"

June 2, 2026

4.0

Adobe Illustrator is essential in our design process, particularly when it comes to creating fine artwork and mock-ups of our apparel. It's not perfect, and it does have a learning curve, but the control and features it offers is worth the investment. For fashion jobs, where precision and colour accuracy is essential, I don't see how anyone will want to use anything other than this.

Pros

In my opinion, the vector tools are really accurate to create some wonderful designs in our fabric printing! The layers are crucial when I'm playing around with different designs, and allow me to keep everything organized. Importing sketches and making edits to them is a lifesaver. Also the colour management tools are important to us as a design company as they make sure our designs are transferred perfectly from screen to fabric.

Cons

For us, which is a smaller team, the subscription model can be a little bit expensive. Also, the interface can be overwhelming for those who are a new hire and have no knowledge of it. Some of the tools are a little restricted, such as the animation features if we could put into practice something else rather than this we use it less, but the tools are okay.

### "The main vector illustration program out there. "

February 21, 2025

3.0

I’ve been using Adobe illustrator for decades; since the 1990s. If I recall they bought out Aldus Freehand which was a far simpler and in my mind far better vector illustration program; I really miss Aldus Freehand - then again I am very old school.

Pros

Creates scalable vector artwork, which can then be imported into a number of other software application applications.

Cons

Overcomplicated; earlier incarnations of illustrator were simpler to use. Too many functions available that I will personally never use as an illustrator. Not happy with having to pay annual subscription fee.

Overall very positive, I have been able to utilize it for quality marketing work both digital and print.

Pros

The ability to transform graphic files into high quality outputs. The high quality tools allow for full creative customization.

Cons

The complexity of the application can take awhile to get used to. Therefor it takes longer to do a project.

### "Adobe Illustrator for designer"

March 20, 2025

5.0

I use adobe illustrator for most of my projects like creating package design, flyer design, graphics and others. Also, use it to create book cover design. It made my professional life much easier as it has all the weapons that need for designer.

Pros

I have been using adobe illustrator for many years and it is one of the best vector design software for designers. Very light weight to handle large size vectors. You can create character, logo, background, environment and any digital arts very easily with little experience.

Cons

You need to have some experience to use it. A little expensive.

### "Illustrator is a Masterful Software"

June 12, 2026

5.0

I use Illustrator daily for my professional work, and for my personal work. It is always dependable and accurate, perfect in how it works and delivers. I couldn't be without it, and I'm excited for new updates in the future!

Pros

Illustrator has had several amazing updates recently, such as removing backgrounds, and 360 turnarounds. As someone who has to create CADs to show various angles of a product, these features are invaluable to me. I now don't need to switch over to another program to help sort these issues out, everything is easily accessible within Illustrator now.

Cons

I would like there to be more dynamic and varied User Interface. I don't use shortcuts, I have them visually on my screen as layers, navigator, actions, transform, swatches, it easily takes up a quarter of my screen. I would like to have more options to arrange the windows and their sizes, instead of it being set as a bar on the right of the software.

### "I can't live without Adobe Illustrator "

I have the best overall experience with Adobe Illustrator. No other designing program compares to it. It is my favorite app of all time.

Pros

Adobe Illustrator is my favorite Adobe product of all time. I could not do my job without it. It has the best design features by far. It is worth absolutely every penny.

Cons

The only complaint I have about Adobe Illustrator is the fact that it does not have automatic saving.

### "Industry-leading Vector Software"

June 8, 2026

4.0

Illustrator has been consistently reliable and remains the best vector design application I've used. It does exactly what I need it to do, and despite a few areas where I'd like to see faster AI development, it's still the clear industry leader.

Pros

Illustrator is incredibly powerful and precise for creating logos, illustrations, and vector artwork. Its tools are intuitive once you learn them, and it's become an essential part of my creative workflow.

Cons

My only real criticism is that Illustrator feels a bit behind some competitors when it comes to AI-powered features and automation. Adobe is making progress, but I'd like to see more innovation in this area.

### "A world of possibilities"

September 29, 2025

4.0

I've been using it for over 10 years, and it has accompanied me in all kinds of projects: posters, typography, lettering, design for prints, T-shirts, drawings... it really is a very versatile programme.

Pros

I think it's a very complete programme for working with vectors. It's very comprehensive and easy to use, and it has lots of possibilities.

Cons

It could have more options for simple photo editing so that you can also work with pixels and edit images.

### "Must have program for label creation"

August 28, 2025

5.0

Overall, I am very pleased with my experience. It helps me accomplish my daily tasks, and I plan on using it for the foreseeable future.

Pros

This program is amazing. I use it every day for my job, and it is capable of doing everything I need to succeed. One of the most useful features is its ability to import both DXFs and DWGs. This is especially useful for going back and forth with CAD software. I also like that I can pull in any image and create lines based on it.

Cons

It is not super intuitive, and there is a small learning curve. I wish the sketching more closely resembled other 2-D CAD software, but it is usable. It is especially hard to create unique shapes with fillets and line breaks, but it is doable.

### "The best vector design programme for creatives"

February 20, 2025

5.0

Adobe Illustrator keeps getting better. The UI is really easy to use and the properties panel helps speed up your workflow. I love the flexibility of being able to use artboards and all the tools they keep adding for editing shapes and strokes, like intertwine and repeat.

Pros

Adobe Illustrator is a great piece of software for any designer or creative. They keep improving the features and making it easier to create stunning graphics for your projects.

Cons

I don't think there is enough type and paragrapgh style options available in illustrator. Hvaing more options available would be really helpful. I think some other features from indesign would be really useful in Illustrator. The ability to add columns and grids would be really helpful too.

### "indispensable"

April 3, 2025

4.0

Most used tool for my everyday work. Couldn't live without it. The constand updates are really on-point, and the AI integration is something I am following everyday, thank you. Pricey program but indispensable.

Pros

Love the latest update with integrated AI. Also love the rewrite tool to create font.

Cons

The Recolor Artwork tool is terrible when it comes to slight black and white variations. And the whole program is actually NOT ideal to work in fashion. Integrated Pantone Library is so so so important.

### "Adobe Illustrator"

December 2, 2025

4.0

Good, I changed several times the way I integrate Illustrator into my workflow, and it always adapts smoothly to the needs of my design projects.

Pros

Illustrator gives me a level of precision and control that’s still unmatched for vector work. Whether I’m building logos, icons, or scalable illustrations, everything stays sharp and consistent. The interface is familiar, the tools respond well, and it integrates perfectly with my other Adobe apps.

Cons

The only drawback is its heavy load on performance. On bigger files, it can slow down or take time to export, especially on a laptop.

### "Amazing Product"

April 9, 2025

5.0

Adobe Illustrator has been my go-to for years when it comes to anything vector-based. It takes a little time to get used to, sure — but once you’re in, it’s a dream to work with and delivers exactly what you hope for.

Pros

The level of precision you get is amazing. It gives artists total creative freedom, and because it syncs beautifully with the rest of the Adobe suite, it makes the whole workflow feel smooth and connected.

Cons

The price can definitely be a hurdle, especially for freelancers or smaller teams. And while it’s incredibly powerful, some of the more advanced tools might feel a bit intimidating if you’re just starting out.

Pros

Overall, I love Illustrator.

Pros

I absolutely love creating logos, illustrations, t-shirt designs, banners, etc. with illustrator. I could not do my work as a graphic designer without this program. I really love that the Creative Cloud membership gives me all the programs and updates.

Cons

Sometimes the updates seem to make the software more and more complicated.

Pros

Adobe Illustrator offers powerful vector design tools, allowing for high-quality graphics and scalability without losing resolution. It is widely used by professionals for logo design, illustrations, and typography.

Cons

February 21, 2025

Adobe Illustrator fully serves all of my requirements of creating logos and green prints

Pros

Illustrator is incredibly robust with all you can do with it. I can do detailed vector artwork with nuts-and-bolts prcision. The set of tools and the way that you're able integrate with the other Adobe software totally revolutionizes the way you produce work

Cons

the downside is that the software is a little confusing to learn at first and you have so many functions that you feel like you're going to drown in them all

### "Adobe Illustrator creates attractive graphics"

March 18, 2025

5.0

Overall, it can offer great precision in creating attractive graphics. Once you get the hang of things it’s easy to create cool images for print, website, etc.

Pros

I’ve worked with Illustrator for many years working as a graphic artist. This was a fun program to work with in creating graphics for print. Working with the layers and tool box was pretty simple to use. It also had a nice selection of fonts and swatches as well.

Cons

It did have more of a learning curve because of theall the features it provides. It takes a little more time to master it’s functions but pretty easy to work with after that. If you are using an older computer or have to many other programs open it can operate slower.

August 4, 2025

Pros

Lots of pro features, but still kinda simple once you get the hang of it. Great for clean visuals, and the color editing stuff helps a lot when you want more control. Switching between Adobe apps works super smooth too.

Cons

It’s not that easy to learn though. Just ‘cause you’re good at Photoshop doesn’t mean Illustrator will be simple it’s kinda its own beast. Other than that, no big issues for me.

### "A brilliant creative tool that gives you unlimited potential"

December 27, 2024

5.0

Overall I think Adobe Illustrator is a tool that allows for an unlimited degree of freedom when looking to design creative artworks. Illustrator has an unbelievable variety of tools and utilities to help designers really make great designs. It is hard to think of any way to improve the tool.

Pros

I like the creative freedom Illustrator gives me when working. I feel unrestricted when using Illustrator and using vectors give me so much flexibility to produce artwork I can then use in any size which is critical when working in a marketing agency environment. I particularly like the inclusion of new tools like the 'intertwine tool' which really help when creating more complex artworks.

Cons

I sometimes find the software can be incredibly resource-intensive and doesn't handle raster files as well as I'd like. With this said, recent improvements to tools like the 'live trace' tool have helped a lot.

Pros

I like how it offers incredible precision and control when working with vector graphics

Cons

I dislike that it has such a steep learning curve, especially for beginners. The subscription pricing can also feel discouraging if you only need it occasionally. Plus, it’s a bit demanding on your computer, so you’ll need decent hardware to use it smoothly
