### "Long Time User"

January 5, 2019

5.0

I have used Illustrator in all its versions since the mid 90s for all different sorts of applications. It is fairly intuitive for beginners and of course for advanced users there is a lot of magic that can be performed. While the changes in the last 5 years have not been massive, Adobe continues to make the software more robust and user friendly. It is great for everything from newsletter creation, advertisements, pdf creation, to general design.

Pros

Adobe Illustrator has been around the block for years and it is an extremely versatile tool for both print and media design. It can be picked up by basic users but in the hands of an advanced user there is a lot of tricks that can be pulled off. It is the preeminent software for vector designs and it succeeds in ways that Photoshop does not.

Cons

While there has not been a lot of “innovation” with the software in the last 5 years, aside from becoming far more accessible, the biggest con is the inability to purchase the software outright anymore. Subscription services are great, but they add up to more than the single purchase of the past and make it harder to recoup the purchase price when it is an ongoing charge.

### "The best vector illustration software"

February 28, 2018

5.0

The efficiency and quality of the designs is unparalleled, which has helped us to be more productive in the business, allows to create logos and brands that connect well with the target audience and add value to the product or service or the business in general. For marketing and advertising needs, Illustrator has been wonderful to create the best logo designs.

Pros

Adobe Illustrator is the best vector illustration software, It is my favorite program. I really enjoy Illustrator for its ease of use. For vector illustrating, this product does wonders. I cannot see myself relying on any other tool for my design work since this is what I know as the best. numerous tutorials out there that will help you to get started. is perfect to edit prints, photos and graphics. It is compatible with other Adobe products such as Photoshop, using these two software together makes my life much easier. I love all the things you can achieve with Adobe Illustrator, I do not know what I would do without it.

Cons

It lacks online publishing feature as that found in InDesign and it would be better f it was also available. Besides this detail for me it is excellent.

### "Not the best anymore"

December 13, 2018

3.0

The best part is that you can work seamlessly with other adobe softwares and you can manage all the adobe softwares under a single account. Its has always been the industry leader in terms of digital designing but I think they have to really make some drastic change in the features offered to survive the tough competetion they face from other softwares like Figma and Sketch.

Pros

I like illustrator for being a part of Adobe family. It has always been the best in terms of creating vector artwork such as logo, illustrations or cliparts. I like the fact that it has tons of shortcuts and combinations that makes it very easy to use but it will be handy only after using the software for a long time.

Cons

The biggest demerit of this software is that it is not east to use. I still havent figured out so many tools in the software after using it for almost 5 years. It will be specifically challenging for a new user to work on this software. Illustrator also takes a lot of time to start-up and is also slow as compared to other new age softwares like Sketch and Figma. Another thing that I find better in other software is that they autosave your work.

### "Really Incredible and Professional Graphic Software"

March 26, 2020

5.0

Actually I started using Adobe Illustrator three years ago and now I can design brochures, flyers and vectors in Illustrator. I have designed a lot of vectors for the customers. With my job I also do online freelance jobs, So I have designed really professional content in Adobe Illustrator. My experience with Adobe Illustrator is outstanding.

Pros

You can create any type of professional logo in Adobe Illustrator. If you want to design a professional business or visiting card for your business then Illustrator allows you to design a beautiful business card. The tools are really awesome, the features of this software are really incredible. Even if you want to design a typography vector art then it's best. No matter, what is your mother language, you can create calligraphy according to your language characters and letters. For individual, personal or business marketing purpose this software is fabulous.

Cons

As I know about the tools and modern features of Adobe Illustrator, We can design anything in Adobe Illustrator. So I don't think so there is any negative point in this software. All things are awesome of Adobe Illustrator.

### "The best software to work with vectors"

May 18, 2020

5.0

It is undoubtedly one of the best known and complete software to work with graphic designs. It connects very well with other software from the Adobe range, it has many tools that automate the creation of design projects.

Pros

One of the Tools that I like most about this software is that you can work with vectors, making it the main tool for any graphic designer, as well as being a very versatile and easy-to-use software, since for novice people when using this software they don't it will be difficult to use. Adobe illustrator is designed in addition to creating vector designs you can also make typographic.

Cons

There is only one disturbing thing about this software. In general, with many Adobe programs, it is that it requires a supercomputer, it requires a lot of RAM, this is somewhat tedious if more than one program is used at the same time, for many projects I have used adobe illustrator, Photoshop and the browser at the same time and this causes the PC to be very slow. In my opinion, Adobe should create a program in the Cloud so that we can run it from any laptop without having many requirements.

### "Illustrator is a life saver"

September 13, 2021

5.0

I have loved this software since I was 16 years old, and as a matter of fact, I still love it enough. This software has always been highly dependable when it comes to making your ideas come true. I would say this is one of the best creations of Adobe.

Pros

Easy to create vector sketches and precisely turn your handmade ideas into digital formats. With time I have seen some good upgrades with tools, which directly or indirectly made the user experience better.

Cons

To be honest, here I have used literally all adobe software and I feel Adobe XD is the most user-friendly software. For someone who would use both these software simultaneously would always understand the difference. If Adobe can make Illustrator more user-friendly, then I am sure it will continue to be the best software in the market.

Reason for choosing Adobe Illustrator

I never had to choose, I always knew which was the right software for me.

### "Ai is one of the most involved in my career"

February 7, 2020

5.0

Previously I used to create logo designs and business cards using Photoshop Ps, in which case Photoshop PS did not help me at all, then I used illustrator to create cartoon drawings, business cards, leaflet stickers and all kinds of banners. Currently I am a professional designer so I recommend Adobe Illustrator for graphic designers to do vector design logo cartoon drawings etc.

Pros

This is a great software for graphic designers, vector design logo design cartoon drawing and so on. For the last two years I've been using Adobe Illustrator for banners, logo vouchers, card designs, cartoon drawings. The role of Adobe Illustrator for advanced quality is unquestionable, and I think Adobe Illustrator is the only reliance on professional designers. For basic level users this is a scary one, but I'm sure you will fall in love with it.

Cons

First of all, the problem I will highlight is that Adobe Illustrator can seem very annoying for low-quality computer users, as your low performance can slow down the computer. Besides, it is not as easy as other Adobe software. Art board space is relatively low, which doesn't seem to be a problem to me.

### "I love this program but I haven't always."

October 8, 2019

5.0

When I first started using it, I had been used to working with Macromedia Freehand. I loved Freehand so much so when I was forced to start using Illustrator because my new job only had it and not Freehand, I was very frustrated. It didn't do a lot of things that Freehand did. In fact it took many years for Illustrator to catch up to what Freehand could do but now I love Illustrator and would never switch. I've even looked at less expensive options and they just aren't as powerful. Illustrator helps you draw really precise shapes and the new(ish)combine tool speeds things up so much as opposed to using the pathfinder. I also find the curve tool to be really amazing. Where I used to struggle to get really smooth curves, this tool does it for me. It's such a time-saver! Illustrator really is my go-to program for logo, designs, flyers, and even web design. I much prefer to design web designs in Illustrator because it's so easy to move things around and align things and scale things if needed. I then export my designs into Photoshop to get them web ready.

Pros

It's so comprehensive and creates amazing results. The last few years, they have really added many great features that I wished were there all along.

Cons

It's so comprehensive; meaning there is so much to learn. My son asked me to teach him lately and I just laughed. I wouldn't even know where to begin. There is so much this program does and I have been using it for over 15 years so that's how I know how to get around but there is still stuff I don't know how to use in it.

### "A must have tool for all designers"

February 18, 2019

5.0

I've used Illustrator for many years, for all sorts of graphics. I've created logos and illustrations, I've done editorial design such as brochures, business cards and promotional material for print. Illustrator has been, alongside photoshop one of the two tools that are always installed on my PC.

Pros

Simply the best tool for creating vector graphics. Illustrator has been around for many decades, and even if many amateurs still prefer Corel Draw (which I admit is easier for begginers), Illustrator is simply a better and more professional tool overall. Illustrator is super versatile, you can export your vectors for web, in svg format, of create files for high quality printing. It has an abundance of tools for drawing that allow you to create everything from simple logos to excruciaitingly detailed illustrations.

Cons

It's true that is a bit difficult to learn... but there are tons of tutorials online, which bring the learning curve down a bit. I also dislike that there are many similar tools between photoshop and illustrator, which work differently or have different shortcuts, making it counterintuitive.

### "My FAVORITE tool for website design"

December 23, 2020

5.0

What I love most about Illustrator is how easy it is to manage different elements (text, simple graphics, etc. - because it's all vector-based) and how that easily translates into building websites. The lack of fancy filters and graphic editing tools found in Photoshop makes it easier to visualize how I'm going to rebuild my designs in HTML using just CSS. This means I can create sites that aren't reliant on lots of graphic files, resulting in a smaller footprint and faster loading times. I also prefer to have the big canvas with (if needed) multiple artboards for visualizing my ideas and moving design elements around until my vision is achieved.

Pros

Years ago, I designed websites in Photoshop. It's what everyone else was doing, so I did it too. At some point, I started using Illustrator, and haven't looked back. While I know Illustrator can do SO MUCH MORE than what I'm doing with it (and more than I can even comprehend), I have found it to be an invaluable tool in website design because of both 1) how easily I can create website compositions, and 2) how easy it is to replicate those designs in HTML and CSS. The more visual elements you can create with CSS in a website (and not rely on actual graphic files), the better.

Cons

For my purposes, I don't have any cons. I use the software almost every day and it does exactly what I need. If I can't "do it" in Illustrator, I know it's something I probably shouldn't be trying to achieve in HTML.

### "Illustrator Review"

January 14, 2019

4.0

My overall experience with illustrator is very positive. Illustrator was the very first program I learned how to use at college so I think the learning curve is generally very short.

Pros

I like that I can so easily edit files in illustrator and bring them into photoshop or indesign. I also like that once you know all of the functions of symbols it is very easy to navigate. My other favorite things are how much easier the key commands make things.

Cons

My illustrator sometimes is really lagging even with the updates- I also wish that in illustrator you could create guides easier like in indesign or photoshop that just appear showing the pixels in between. I think that it would also be great if in in illustrator there was an easier teaching guide the way photoshop has. It would also be really helpful if there was within illustrator, a way to open a section of adobe on the internet that gives you all the shortcut key commands. My other least favorite thing is that when i move an image or logo or something into another folder on my desktop it no longer is in illustrator.

### "The go-to program for vector art and illustrations"

June 12, 2023

5.0

Adobe Illustrator is my go-to program for creating vector artwork. It keeps getting better and better with each update. Once you learn how to use the tools, the possibilities are endless. Like any other program, it has its quirks and can be frustrating at times to figure out which tool to use for the desired effect. But trust me, Illustrator has the tool, you just have to find it.

Pros

I've been using Adobe Illustrator for years, and I can honestly say that it's one of the best vector graphics software programs on the market. It's incredibly powerful and versatile, and it can be used to create a wide variety of designs, from simple logos to complex illustrations.

Cons

It can be expensive unless you have a Creative Cloud subscription. It can be slow on large files and a bit of a resource hog. Illustrator has a steep learning curve, which can be frustrating for new users.

### "Powerful tool for graphic designers"

November 13, 2018

5.0

I could not do my job as effectively without Illustrator but I only use it when I can't do something with another software like Photoshop. Since Illustrator allows you to create and edit graphics at a mathematical level, you know you can potentially do anything with it. When I am in a tough situation where some graphics aren't working for me, I can fix it with Illustrator and then export what I need to work back in Photoshop or whatever other software. This is really essential especially for higher resolution images for things like video and especially print projects.

Pros

Illustrator is the standard for creating and working with master graphic files. The vector capable workspace means everything will look good at any size and format which is critical for graphics that will be shown in a variety of places (like logos). Having access to every aspect of your graphics in layers allows you to adjust only the parts you need to without changing anything else or hurting the quality. Basically, any file I have in an eps, ai or other vector format, I know I can open it in Illustrator and get any part of it that I need for whatever graphic project I'm working on.

Cons

The learning curve is a bit steep mainly because of all the settings and places you need to look for different tasks. Other than a few basic items, it is not very intuitive regarding the results you will end up with so unless you work in it often, there will be trial and error or digging through help and support manuals to do a lot of things.

Pros

### "Awesome Software"

April 13, 2022

5.0

I love the software and highly recommend it to others. It's fun to learn and produces great results. I love teaching others how to use it and seeing their lightbulbs go off as things begin to click.

Pros

This program is amazing and is the industry standard. It will produce amazing products as you learn them and invest the time to create them. I love to open it up to just play with the pen tool, shape builder tool, and many others.

Cons

The software does have a bit of a learning curve to it. However, it's amazing and worth it.

### "One of the best vector graphic design software available. Useful and highly versatile!"

September 28, 2018

5.0

I like all its features. I cannot work without Illustrator anymore. All my graphic design projects, once sketched, take their shape in Illustrator. Through its vector tools, you might be able to create almost every design you need. Texts, geometrical shapes or custom ones, Béziers curves and many other tools could be employed to create logos, flyers, posters, web designs, brochures and many more. Illustrator is also easy to learn, even if you will always find new features while working with it. If you have any doubt, you can just contact the support or browse on the internet to find millions of tips, tutorials, how to, and so on. Its scaleable results are perfect both for web and printing. No pixelation anymore! A very professional software for professional works.

Pros

Easy-to-use and easy-to-learn. Its menus and toolbar are intuitive and offer a wide range of action or tools to create your artwork. Starting from simple shapes till really complex projects. You may contact the Adobe support at any time if needed. There are also a lot of helpful resources online, so you only have to ask to figure out any issue. It allows creating vector projects that are completely scalable and so perfect for any use. It works on almost any OS. It is the most complete vector graphic design software at the moment, even if Affinity Designer is becoming very competitive and is turning out to be a good alternative to Illustrator.

Cons

You might encounter some bug while working on Illustrator. It may happen that the software will crash while using it so pay attention to activate the recovery option and to compulsively save your work to avoid the loss of the work done. It's a little bit expensive, considering that Affinity Designer is increasing its features at an unbeatable price.

### "designing is a permanent software challenge"

September 17, 2018

5.0

I have been using the software for 4 years as a graphic designer I have had a great satisfaction with it, 90% of my designs are made here. I highly recommend it and I just think that having patience is the key to your absolute mastery.

Pros

It is a potential software for us designers. the best tool to work with vectors and bitmap, its use is satisfactory with the excellent and optimal quality of images obtained. in its greater benefit I consider that its lightness and mobility, its wide range of graphic tools that make the work of a designer simpler and more modern. the vectorization capacity is great. simplifies many tasks in layers. I think it is an extraordinary design and editing tool, with many more benefits that undoubtedly allow the user his maximum artistic expression.

Cons

without much to add, I consider that the biggest disadvantage is that it is a very complex software, it is not learned in a short time nor is it so easy to use, it requires a lot of investment time in study and practice. between tastes does not prevent it from being stylized by its high standards.

Pros

With its vector-based approach, I can create designs that are infinitely scalable without losing quality. This precision is crucial for creating professional-quality artwork for various mediums.

Cons

The abundance of tools, panels, and options in Illustrator's interface can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially for new users. It can take time to navigate and customize the workspace to suit my preferences, leading to a less streamlined workflow initially, other than that, I can not say anything bad about this program.

### "Amazing! I can\`t belive yet how much this software has helped me."

June 25, 2018

5.0

Pros

Adobe Illustrator is very versatile, if you are a graphic designer, illustrator, or artist. is the right tool for you. You do not have to be an expert to use it because has an excellent touch type feature, simplified free transform tool and a powerful new puppet warp feature that allows transformation of select portions of illustrations. All this makes the experience of using illustrator very friendly and simple. With a little practice you can get the most out of the software. In my personal experience, I am an amateur plastic artist and I use Illustrator recursively to vectorize my designs to be able to print them in large format with high resolution. In a very short time I became an expert using Adobe and it allowed me to express my creativity to the fullest. Acording PC Magazine this is one of the best design tools in the market.

Cons

I really do not have any complaints about this program, it seems to me that the Adobe team has developed an excellent product that adapts to the particular needs of the client.

### "Meilleur logiciel pour la conception de logos "

August 18, 2023

4.0
