### "Industry standard software for creating vector graphics"

July 30, 2021

5.0

Adobe Illustrator is an essential part for my company, it is a companion that everyone in my company needs for their daily projects.

Pros

I like the amount of tools that are available inside the software that are designed to help me achieve a smooth workflow for my projects. The workspace customize ability of this software allow me to create an environment that ensure I can work my best in any projects.

Cons

I don't like the high pricing of the software and sometimes when I working, the software crash because of a bug but fortunately, my projects are saved in real time so it is not really a big trouble in my opinion.

### "Illustrator as an essential part in 2d digital animation workflow"

September 7, 2018

5.0

I have used it through many types of projects, from digital design, printed design, editorial design, graphic design to illustration and animation, so i think it is a really versatile software.

Pros

I like how intuitive the tools became with the time, I think there are the right amount of tools and flexible enough to use in many types of projects with different visual styles. I like the resemblance of the interface to any other in the Adobe family, which allows you to easily understand how to use it and to jump to another Adobe program and learn how to use it too. I also think one of the most useful things of Illustrator is the compatibility of the files with other Adobe software, like After Effects, which allows you to have an integral workflow and allows for easy and fast modifications if needed.

Cons

I can't think of something I don't like. It is the design software I use the most and everytime I think there could be an improvement, it's not that long when Adobe already updated it.

Pros

### "Versatile Program for all types of designers!"

December 11, 2019

5.0

Illustrator is my favorite Adobe program. The range of what you’re able to create in it - typography, brand components, vector illustrations, you name it. It’s the highest quality program I use in my professional life.

Pros

Illustrator sets the standard for quality design. A program that utilizes vector based images so any assets created within the program can be scaled as small or as big as any designer or customer can imagine. The functionality for quick asset creation and export makes this program a one-stop shop for any designer or illustrator. The more you use the software, the easier and more practiced you will become!

Cons

The one caveat I’ve always had with illustrator is applying gradients to objects. When choosing colors for gradients they only offer three panels: color, swatches and color picker. A forth panel that would add so much value is a color wheel to select a wider range of colors. It’s easy to work around, but that functionality would make the programs ease of use perfect!

in term of global experience with adobe I would say perfect this software is complete that it is for the web design or then for montages of all natures kind photos videos or others it is very interesting and evolving

Pros

What I particularly appreciate about this software is first of all the simplified interface in terms of handling now adobe presents evolutive extensions which allow that at the end of a project one can easily bring out the desired rendering whether it is for photo or video editing or even for the realization of posters and others

Cons

what I can mainly reproach to this application will be the level I would say it is at the level of the last update with here the integration of the work in the cloud so I am not too much fan at the sight that it is absolutely necessary to be on Internet

### "Great tool to create some very cool graphics! "

March 21, 2019

4.0

I have used this software to provide beautiful vector images, graphics, and logos to our customers. Moreover, one of our company's logo had also been created using Adobe Illustrator.

Pros

I have been using the Adobe Illustrator for a year now. I have been using the Adobe Illustrator mainly for creating logos, graphics designs, vector images, etc. I have loved this product from the day of using it. I am a very big of the easy to use controls that Adobe has provided with it. I have created many infographics with it more many of my blogs and for our customer's blog. It is straightforward to customize and offers the industry's best tools to create some fantastic projects. If you get stuck at any points, you can get excellent support from their dedicated customer support team.

Cons

Although I love the product, I have some complaints from the Adobe. Some of the new users will find it a bit difficult to crop images because you can't crop the images with a simple cropping feature as in the Adobe Photoshop and other competitor's software. The price for the businesses is okay, but the individual users can find this annual subscription model a bit high. The last thing that I would like to mention is the compatibility issue that I have faced while heading over to different versions of files.

### "Vectorisation at its best."

July 17, 2022

With the power to realise the most demanding design briefs to a high standard, Illustrator continues to impress me every time I use it. Greatest vector creator. Why use anything else?

Pros

Illustrator is unmatched in creating and editing complex, highly accurate vector illustrations. The feeling of empowerment while using Illustrator is compelling.

Cons

It is difficult to find fault with software as polished as Illustrator. It is not, however, something which you can easily access as a beginner and requires some study for best results.

### "Cumpre o que promete"

June 9, 2023

5.0

### "My everyday tool for 10+ years"

April 10, 2019

5.0

I have used Illustrator nearly every day for over 10 years as my main graphic design tool. I have made years and years of compensation from clients and never felt like I was overpaying for it as there was no other software that did what I needed. I use it to illustrate, create logos, make websites, catalogs

Pros

The possibilities are endless when it comes to creating in Illustrator. Sometimes it can be overwhelming to learn all of its capabilities, but once you have a good grasp, it's hard to even think about using other software to complete any design-oriented task. I love that everything I do is deeply integrated across all of the other software that Adobe offers. Illustrator was my gateway software into becoming a full time designer, which has led me to learn photography, animation, vinyl printing, catalog design, illustration, branding, web design; the list goes on. I hate to make such a bold statement, but I do think that picking up Illustrator 10 years ago is the reason why I am able to do what I do as a freelance designer.

Cons

I dislike the varying hotkeys that come with moving from Illustrator to Photoshop to After effects to InDesign. I also think the learning curve for new users is rather high. Lastly, Illustrator's integration with other design programs outside of the Adobe suite (eg, Sketch) is usually pretty bad, which is okay by me as I stay within the Adobesphere.

### "Review of Adobe illustrator"

February 9, 2021

4.0

The business problems I am solving with Adobe Illustrator are the ability to design for both digital assets as well as large format trade show collateral and I have benefitted from the seamless integration with other design tools.

Pros

Feature that I found to be most impactful is the seamless compatibility with the other design products that our large design team uses. I would rate the ease of use of this product as easy to use however there is a learning curve to make use of advanced or new features that are routinely added. The integration into existing business processes was totally seamless.

Cons

The only thing that could be improved is sometimes when creating pixel accurate web asset mockups you need to be mindful of actual pixel resolution vs artboard size. The process that was difficult to use was when saving back to a legacy format some complexity of file can be lost however that is to be expected of any software. The integration into existing business processes was not difficult because it is conveniently offered as part of our teams Creative Suite package.

### "Illustrator Review"

February 16, 2022

5.0

Adobe Illustrator has allowed me to create awesome designs for my clients. It's a creative playground where you can create pretty much anything. And there's a reason why it's an industry standard, you can't beat its simplicity!

Pros

I work with different size palettes, so it's really nice to not have to compromise the quality when upscaling/shrinking objects or shapes. Working with vectors and rasterizing images helps me stay in a creative zone that i can only achieve using this software.

Cons

I wish i could pay for the software and have a perpetual license. I kinda have to worry about my finances if i'm going for a subscription plan.

Pros

Through creative cloud, the program uodayes and new features are added all the time, along with tips and tricks. Ease of use, variety of quick tools and advanced control of anchors make it my go-to for vector design software.

Cons

The price is hefty, the annual contact for cloud-based software isn't ideal. I'd prefer a one-time cost.

### "My Favorite Adobe Software To Work With!"

September 6, 2018

5.0

I use Illustrator the most for my business. It's not the most intuitive software but once you get the hang of all the features (that are important to you), you're able to get the hang of it and work pretty fast. I use the Creative Cloud software, and every update I get just keeps getting better and better. Illustrator is a must for a graphic designer!

Pros

Once you get the hang of Illustrator, you're able to work quickly and efficiently. I have a lot of projects to work on at my job and knocking out quality graphics in the least time as possible is a must. I also love the updates that come with Creative Cloud.

Cons

Some features in Illustrator are in Illustrator are just unnecessary and outdated, and should be removed because it's just clutter at this point. There are so many great features and they keep coming out with new ones, but I wish I would delete some of the ones I don't need so I'm not so overwhelmed by the workspace. Also, I wish that when I exported to PDF, that the PDFs weren't so file heavy.

### "The Best in Vector Design."

June 23, 2019

5.0

I used adobe software for all the design needs in my business from logos and web materials, to print and poster design. The learning curve can be a little stiff at times but if you have experience with other adobe software you should be able to pick this up quickly and learn the nuances that make it work. Anytime I was stuck trying to complete a task it was easy to google a fast solution.

Pros

There's a reason Adobe software is considered the industry standard. Adobe Suite was the software I learned on when I attended university for digital media and design as it was the most common with professionals across the industry. I can see why. With the plethora of tools included in Illustrator the software can be as simple or as complex as you make it. I've been using it for over 5 years and I'm still learning tips and tricks to improve my workflow to this day. Because of the prominence of adobe software in the market there is also a huge amount of learning material out there to become an expert. The way it handles drawing and it's automated tools are second to none.

Cons

There isn't much I don't like about this software, but it's a bit disappointing that Adobe only does subscription based services now. That makes it impossible to own a copy without continuing to to pay into Adobe. Adobe stock is also extra money if you want to make use of those services.

### "AI makes vector pictures your friends"

October 16, 2019

5.0

I started using AI a long time ago when I needed to alter a vector logo of my company. Previously I always used Photoshop for editing pictures and photos, but in this case, Photoshop couldn't help me. So I started to learn how to use Adobe Illustrator and it's my best daily friend at work now. I have created large 3m x 4m banner designs for printing, brochures, business cards, leaflets, stickers, and all kinds of marketing materials using Adobe Illustrator. I am not a designer, so I obviously am missing out on many of its features, but it has been incredibly helpful to my work as Digital Operations Manager.

Pros

Vector files are my friends now. Now that I've got more experience with Adobe Illustrator, my work is much more pleasant (I often need to create graphics for various marketing materials and AI is incredibly helpful in this area.)

Cons

One might need a few online classes (youtube, for example) on how to use certain features. I have used Photoshop before so some of the tools didn't work as I expected them to. (Granted, it's not AI's fault, but rather my own inexperience at first.)

### "Adobe Illustrator is my go to for all vector illustrations"

January 24, 2020

5.0

Overall, Adobe Illustrator is a great tool that I use on a daily basis. It has been a great tool that continues to improve as Adobe releases newer and newer versions.

Pros

Adobe Illustrator is the industry leader in vector artwork. Being a web designer/developer, I use this software daily. It allows me to create artwork that is scalable and is a manageable size so that it doesn't demand a lot for mobile sites. If you're familiar with other Adobe software, this is very easy to pick up and use.

Cons

The biggest con I have with Adobe Illustrator is that it looks very similar to the Adobe Photoshop UI and I find myself getting the two of them confused with each other while working on web graphics. Part of me wishes these two programs would just merge into one, as Photoshop already has the ability to create vector artwork. Another con is that the UI can be intimidating if you aren't familiar with other vector editing software.

### "The most powerful vector art program there is."

October 6, 2020

5.0

I'd say my overall experience is very much love/hate. When I need it Adobe Illistrator is my knight in shininy amror, but throughout the general work grind it's too full of itself to be useful.

Pros

Adobe Illustrator is easily the most powerful and easily extenisable vector art program available. Because of that when nothing else works you can usually always count on Adobe Illustrator to get the job done.

Cons

Due to the rather extmre learning cuve and often clunky interface compared to it's top compeitors for most general light weight tasks Adobe Illustrator is my last choice. Despite having years of experience with it the speed and ease that general daily tasks can be done in other vecotor applications is some times stunning.

Reason for choosing Adobe Illustrator

Because when I need to work with complex heavy detail vectors only Adobe Illustrator can handle the work load. Affinity Desighner's poor usage of computer hardware renders it nearly useless for larage complex projects. CorelDRAW is far too unstable to use for anything that has a tight deadline. Inkscape is an amazing project, but it's still growing needs time to truly mature.

### "Play it Like a Piano"

November 19, 2019

5.0

I don’t see how any contemporary design team or individual can function without it. Tradeshow booths, logo design, business card layouts, floor plans, stagecraft, book covers, playbills, product design, packaging... I’m using this thing for everything I do, at least on a supplemental level. Learn the hot keys to unlock speed and push into the “intuitive zone”.

Pros

Feature-packed, and now ubiquitous. Most design houses and teams around the world use it. There are other vector illustration/design packages out there, but if you want to “get along” in the design sandbox and play well with others, this is one of tools to use.

Cons

It’s complex, so I can look back in time and remember when I was just starting to learn the tools - it was challenging to take it all in, but it’s a robust product and worth the learning curve.
