### "Adobe illustrator is great, but..."

October 20, 2022

5.0

With Adobe Illustrator I know exactly what I can achieve with the program for my design work. Being a long-time user, I have fallen into a style and am always surprised by the new features they incorporate. The actual program I cannot fault. The annual price is getting to the point where its stating to pinch and look at alternatives. But the Adobe Creative Cloud software needs an overhaul as it doesn't work for me.

Pros

This is probably the top of the range for vector-based illustration. The features are countless and what can be achieved is only limited by your imagination. It does force you into a specific style of illustrations, i.e. line illustrations, smooth computer-generated gradients etc., but if you are happy with that, then it is boundless.

Cons

All Adobe products, not just illustrator, are bound to the Adobe creative cloud. This forces to have a second piece of software on your computer that monitors the main software. This is a piece of shit. It slows down your computer horribly, needs constant updating, always needs to be rebooted and is probably the worst part of the experience. I don't operate the most up-to-date computer, and the creative cloud software component to Adobe makes the whole experience make me look at alternatives.

Reason for choosing Adobe Illustrator

It's mainly to do with time spent on Adobe Illustrator and legacy files I have. I have used Illustrator since Illustrator 88 was launched. I know it quite well. Moving to new software is quite daunting.

### "Awasome Experience with Adobe illustrator"

April 24, 2024

5.0

Overall, the software is a good tool for creative designs and industry-standard application designs. so, it is a go-to software for any designer out there.

Pros

I like the most its ability to create vector designs which are quite good for pixel changes of an image or design created through that software.

Cons

The subscription plan is not good, and the tendency to pay monthly subscriptions is not fair. I think a Adobe Creative Crowd team should at least make it a one-time purchase. Also, the limited export options to me is not fair and the some of cool features from Photoshop are not in Illustrator, I don't like that.

### "Design attractive interfaces with Illustrator"

July 27, 2022

5.0

I often use Adobe Illustrator to create social media interfaces for the organization I work in INDEXA, as it allows the interfaces to be designed by the company’s brand and identity in a very beautiful way. I approved the designs that I made using Illustrator on Facebook, Instagram, and Linkedin

Pros

From my point of view, Adobe Illustrator is the best program for designing beautiful and creative interfaces. It has the appropriate tools that allow you to clearly show your artistic touch as a graphic designer. What is better is that it is the program that is perfectly suitable for commercial designs because of its very attractive, ready-made, and flexible fonts that can be modified, allowing the completion of excellent designs in the shortest possible time

Cons

Like other Adobe programs, it requires time to learn and reach professionalism, as well as some movement and attractiveness in the user interface compared to what is available in the After Effects and Photoshop programs

### "Useful tool for vector illustration and design"

October 11, 2018

5.0

If you are looking for a tool to create art, design, illustration and allow you to control every aspect of it (color, type, form..) this is your tool. There are many other tools to do one part of what illustrator offers, but I have not find any tool as good as this.

Pros

I've been using this software since the very beginning of my career as graphic designer. Is a really useful tool to design and illustrate vector graphics. You have to immerse yourself well in the tool at the beginning but then is really intuitive and user friendly. As Adobe is behind all of this, they improve almost every year this tool with new features and possibilities.

Cons

One of the limitations I see is that it does not have full integration with other Adobe applications, like photoshop or Indesign. You need to export "almost" everything to work with other Adobe Soft. instead of do a copy/paste.

### "Illustrator - The best logo design software"

February 6, 2020

5.0

We needed a fairly easy and simple software for logo and text design work. We chose Adobe Illustrator as we had experience with other Adobe products. The interface was something that was easily recognizable and we got familiar in working with it in a few days. The logo designs had to be imported in different software and it all went flawlessly. We knew we found the right stuff. It was a great experience in using it and I am sure it can't be replaced by any other as no software comes close to it in features.

Pros

\-First of all, this is the easiest software to learn. Me and my fellow creators didn't need more than a few days to learn it. -The tools offered are sufficient to create ANY and ALL designs you can need. - Import functions allow all kind of vector and logo import even if low quality, the quality can be sufficiently enhanced. - .Ai files saved in this can also be imported to any other Adobe software - Adobe support and forums are bulletproof, you'll never face any problem. - Universal support in other software as well. - The illustrator engine is really good in its function.

Cons

Hard to think but I sure have some things that can be improved. - The loading time. It takes very long to load. A faster loading time would help a lot. - Lack of shortcut keys. More are needed for a smoother and fast operation. - Plugin support. - Graphics acceleration support would help a lot. - The interface glitches sometimes.

### "Peerless"

November 11, 2019

5.0

I've been using Adobe Illustrator for years, for graphics creation to go along with my use of Adobe Indesign for more document oriented projects. Together, the two are a powerhouse and I wouldn't be able to complete basically any of my freelance gigs without them.

Pros

There's just no other software that stacks up to Adobe Illustrator when it comes to graphics creation and editing. The amount of tools and possibilities on offer is staggering, especially as you learn some of the more advanced functions. It's also just so ubiquitous in the industry that there is plenty of free resources and etc available to learn.

Cons

As referenced above, it does have a bit of a steep learning curve when you are first getting used to it. I found Corel Draw an easier program, and sometimes a more intuitive one, to pick up, but if you put in the work Adobe will satisfy your every need.

### "The best vector graphics editor ever"

February 14, 2019

5.0

It's simply great. No other software even comes closer to the experience and user friendliness of this software.

Pros

The software is so simple to use even with it's most advanced features. I've been using Adobe Illustrator over 7 years in order cater my work related tasks. Over that period of time, the software updates offered were very efficient and thoughtful. And it took the software user experience further up on the ladder. Even a new user can self-learn the software using the help and online tutorials without any hassle. While using the software day to day basis, the users can find the tools and features on their own without even looking for tutorials. And also the speed and the performance of the software is also incredible.

Cons

Nothing at all. All features and tools are exceptional to get a quality work done in minutes.

### "Adobe Illustrator: A Must-Have for Creatives"

March 9, 2019

5.0

Working with Illustrator provides me with a seamless workflow. If Photoshop isn't working or running slow, I can jump on illustrator and my workflow is barely affected. I'm really fast with Illustrator and it's because of the program's lovely interface. It's streamlined our whole design process.

Pros

Adobe Illustrator is a staple product that I use everyday. I love how it flows seamlessly with my wacom tablet, allowing me to create organic, hand-drawn designs. Every logo I've created, I've used Adobe Illustrator – without this program I wouldn't have created the award-winning designs that have made me the designer that I am.

Cons

There's a bit of a learning curve, and when you expand certain elements, sometimes they don't cooperate – particularly when you're using the "pathfinder" tool, if you have multiple objects layered, it's almost like the program gets "confused".

### "Illustrator"

November 23, 2020

4.0

I like it. It's my go-to for print, logos and illustrations.

Pros

I like that Illustrator is the industry standard. So, it makes working across teams and organizations relatively straightforward. Also, the program launches fairly quickly (at least compared to Photoshop). Its compatibility with Acrobat is also a huge plus! Depending on how the files are saved, you can easily go back and forth between Illustrator and Acrobat. You can save files as PDFs in Illustrator and then open them in Acrobat for final touches (adding Accessibility, links, etc.). And, then you can also open PDFs in Illustrator to make direct design edits.

Cons

What holds Illustrator back is the level of complexity required to make edits. It feels like you can't always design as quickly as you can think something up, because you're busy thinking about the commands or icons needed to accomplish it. These can be very well-hidden sometimes. Also, if you're looking for an easy way to convert your Illustrator file for use in Photoshop, be prepared for a little hassle. Yes, you can save or export your .AI file to a .PSD. However - know that all of your layers may not be perfectly editable when you open that .PSD in Photoshop.

### "My best vector graphics software out there."

November 15, 2019

5.0

Vector graphics, cartoon and landscape illustrations, logos, presentations and branding

Pros

I began using it when i couldn't access my CorelDraw application and had to deliver some projects. i would say i was completely blown away by how easy it was to use, so robust tools and an amazing layer and shape illustration and building tools, really amazing.

Cons

Wouldn't really say there are much of cons, aside from the fact that the tools are sometimes a little complicated to understand and use properly.

I've used illustrator for 24 years and will probably use it another 25. Great product!

Pros

There are a ton of powerful tools in illustrator! I've used it for 24 years and there are still new features added that make my work easier. The CC library is a time saver with multiple clients and multiple brands. Illustrator will always be my go to for design!

Cons

The only suggestion I have is improving the embedding result for vector graphics in the CC library. They behave like an embedded PDF instead of the native AI file.

### "Adobe Illustrator: Create Don't Hesitate"

October 30, 2019

5.0

Overall, We recommend Adobe Illustrator as an excellent choice for photographers and vector art creators. As it has tons of features excellent for designing various kinds of arts. Also, most of the brands use adobe illustrator for their logo designing.

Pros

Designing: Adobe Illustrator is simply powerful and integrated software. It provides a remarkable opportunity in creating logos and graphics. If one needs to create vectors for logos, graphics, or any other reason this software will be the best choice. Vector illustrations: Adobe Illustrator can be used in very different ways such as it can be used to make illustrations equipped with 3D effects. There are tons of options within the software itself to produce vector-based arts with the quality of any scale.

Cons

Experience: Using this software requires a lot of practice and expertise as any small mistake can ruin the entire project. Additionally, some of its features are difficult to learn as no templates are available for its users. Charges: Adobe illustrator comes with all the features but none of it comes for free. A decent amount has to be paid for the monthly fee. The users can not own the software completely and have to subscribe to a specific plan according to their needs.

### "Adobe Illustrator is my go-to program for logo editing. "

July 19, 2018

5.0

Pros

Editing vector art is a breeze within Illustrator. My job requires me to manipulate color and transparency within pre-created logo files. Illustrator is a must have to make these manipulations. It is also a great program to create artwork in that will be resized to large scale such as billboards and large format advertising. I never have to worry about my images being pixelated when I create them as vector art within Illustrator. I also like their "package" tool which makes packaging all of the images and fonts within a document a breeze when preparing files for press.

Cons

Basic training is needed to use this software. Even if you are familiar with other Adobe products (InDesign, Photoshop), there are so many different tools and settings that one would benefit from a couple starter classes.

### "Adobe Illustrator, a design basic you must try"

May 4, 2019

5.0

In my experience, Adobe Illustrator is totally worth it. At work, we use it to create multiple designs, both internal and for the clients. We have use it to create infographics, invitations and diplomas for our clients, both digital and printed. What´s really great is how quickly and easy you can perform any changes, how flexible the tool can be to make alterations to one element without messing up with the rest of the design, and the fact that you can save it in multiple formats is also very useful.

Pros

Adobe Illustrator has a lot of brilliant functions that are more than handy, it is actually a design basic tool that you must master if you want to make the most out of your designs, specially when working with vectors. Illustrator offers a very wide set of tools to create any kind of design: from banners, to infographics, to cartoons, labels, t-shirts, anything you can think of. It is you best option for designs that are meant to be printed since vectors can easily resize and adjust to any canvas and resolution. It is flexible and has a nice and organized interface. Also since it is one of the most popular design softwares there are literally tons of tutorials out there to help you get familiar with it.

Cons

Adobe Illustrator is not the most intuitive software, even if you are already familiar with other softwares of the same Adobe family, Illustrator works a bit different and it may be a little confusing at first. The wide set of tools it has is both a pro and a con, you can do a lot of things with this software but it may take a while before you completely understand what every single tool does and how to best use them.

### "Necessary for Graphic Design"

April 17, 2020

5.0

I use this on a weekly basis to create logos, and vector artwork for videos. When I download .eps files, I plug them into Illustrator, manipulate them to fit my design and use them in other Adobe programs as well. It has served me well.

Pros

This is part of a bundle of Adobe products that help improve what you are capable of doing with vector images. Illustrator provides a unique perspective in comparison to the other Adobe products because you are working with vector files. Some of my favorite things about this program is that it is similar to the other Adobe products, so if you understand how to work them, then you should get the gist quickly of how to work this. There are plenty of hidden gems, experimenting with the software will only make you better. Some of my favorite tools is the smooth tool and the grid tools. You can make some really incredible graphics.

Cons

There is a lot to this software and it is constantly updating -- which isn't bad, but it might take you some time to get used to and acquainted with everything that it can do. Something that you can do in other Adobe apps, you can't do in here so if you want to, you have to find a creative solution. I have been using this for years and I feel like I haven't yet scratched the surface of what it can do.

### "Adobe Illustrator is the top vector program for a reason"

November 26, 2019

5.0

I mainly use Adobe Illustrator to create characters and scenes for 2D animated videos. It's made my business possible in that regard. But it's also my go-to when I need to design logos, invitations, flyers, promotion, etc.

Pros

Illustrator has massive versatility. I can do anything from flyers to logos to illustrations, animation graphics, etc. etc. on it. I can't quite imagine my life without it now. I do use it daily for work, so I'm very used to it, but I find that there is always more to learn. So while I'd say it's easy to use, there are many features that till go unused for me. But I see that as a plus, because I could do even more with it than I am right now.

Cons

I think if you're not used to adobe at all this could be a steep learning curve. I'd think it's more for pros than people who just want to make a little graphic now and again.

### "Best in class"

December 26, 2020

5.0

The program itself is on the cutting edge, delivering everything a user could want or need. The program is fluid, easy-to-use once someone gets the hang o fit, and continues to provide the best in class features.

Pros

Illustrator is going to be familiar to anyone who has used any of the Adobe Suite programs before. There's a learning curve, but it's fairly intuitive, so playing around with it for a bit will allow anyone familiar with how Adobe programs work to figure it out. Since it's part of the Adobe suite, it's easy to jump between programs. For vector designs, it really is the high watermark.

Cons

Adobe pricing is awful, I just have to say that. Their programs are great, but their business practices are really questionable as they've championed the subscription-based fees. I don't think anyone is a fan, except for Adobe's accountants.

### "Essential Software for Graphic Design"

January 11, 2020

5.0

Adobe Illustrator is an essential tool for the work that I do. It has an array of tools and functions that make my designs possible. As with all things, there is room for improvement within the software. For a fresh pair of eyes, Adobe Illustrator is impossible to use. Before you can unlock the potential of Adobe Illustrator you must invest dozens of hours in the classroom and on your own. Additionally, this software is not the be all end all for Graphic Design tools. In my work I still need Adobe Photoshop and other housekeeping software.

Pros

Adobe Illustrator is integral to all of our Graphic Design work. I dare say that working in Graphic Design and mastering Adobe Illustrator go hand-in-hand. I spend most of my day with this software. There are so many tools: every day I learn about new ways to work. The possibilities are so vast that I could almost use Adobe Illustrator exclusively.

Cons

An enormous repertoire of tools and seemingly endless possibilities make for a very complex product. To use Adobe Illustrator competently you must have a lot of training and experience. It is a large investment of time, resources, and energy. Of course, you do not have to know everything about the software to perform well—I learn new things about Adobe Illustrator every day. But you must know a great deal in order to use the software at all. Additionally, Adobe Illustrator cannot do everything. I use Adobe Photoshop almost as much as Adobe Illustrator.

### "Any Designer best friend!"

December 11, 2019

4.0

I would absolut recommend this to anyone but honestly for learns Corel might be more user friendly.

Pros

It is one of the most valuable tools anyone who needs to create content must-have. AI is not only great to do seasonal things like lookbooks but also but also some quick infographics you just need to add into an email for better understanding of an idea. It has so much potential that even today, after 5 yrs working with it, I still discover new features!

Cons

It demands a lot of practise mainly if you use it to draw. Additional tools like digital pen might turn the job easier but even though a lot of work getting the pencil and brushes to do just the right thing is difficult. It's also not free!!! And you need to know a little bit of Photoshop otherwise you'll be limited when. It comes to work with photography.

### "Design made easy"

November 2, 2018

5.0

I use Illustrator to create typography, logos, and to turn my hand-drawn art into vectors using the Pen tool. As stated before, there is a high learning curve but the keyboard shortcuts make all the difference!

Pros

Adobe Illustrator is perfect for graphic designers who like to create their own vectors, illustrations, or typography. A designer might find many of illustrator's tools helpful, specifically, the transform tool, the Touch Type feature, and the Puppet wrap tool, which allows you to edit specific portions of an illustration. Illustrator already comes with vectors that you can place and warp onto your image. The font manipulation is wonderful for designing and creating your own typography. I prefer to use the pen tool in Illustrator more so than in Photoshop because it is much easier to use and offers you more freedom in creating shape paths and really customizing your vector in a way that other programs cannot offer. When you create an image in Illustrator, it is very easy to integrate with other Adobe software programs, like Indesign and Photoshop.

Cons

The only drawback of Illustrator is that is has a high learning curve for new users. If you do not regularly use Adobe software for your graphic design work, it may take you a while to learn how to use the tools and where to find them. Some of the controls differ from Photoshop, too. I wish I could pay a one-time charge for the software rather than paying a month to month creative cloud fee. Be committed to paying monthly if you wish to use this software.

### "A great software for a Freelance Graphic/3d artist like me"

December 13, 2018

5.0

It helps me design vector shapes for mockups on Merchandise of different kinds like T-shirts, Mugs e.t.c

Pros

This is the best tool for Vector/3d/stylized art i've ever used. I work mostly in 3d and i need vector shapes for my mockup products in those softwares so i pretty much use this on a daily basis. My Top favorite features of Illustrator (CC 2019) are: Vector Shapes Vectorized art from still photos Easy SVG export Blend Shapes Ability to make custom patterns (like on t-shirts) with your own paths/vectors Improved UI in the new releases

Cons

I wouldn't necessarily call it a con but the learning curve can be quite steep, especially for users who are installing an earlier version or coming from different backgrounds but that shouldn't be the issue with their new releases. Now you can be free and Vectorious!

We do love this software, in facet it's our main weapon for designing and our teams loves it

Pros

We've been using this software for many years, it's a great design software we don't have any major issues using this software, the tools may seem too complex but that's the beauty of it, each tools help you in a very specific way, and with the CC attribution makes it easier to work faster than ever, and we really love the recovered mode when your computer crash unexpectedly, also the ability to work between software in adobe family helps a lot and make the work less complicated

Cons

### "I really like the Adobe Illustrator, very useful"

August 13, 2020

5.0

I use Adobe Illustrator a lot to modify project budgets for different clients. I leave a template ready, and I only modify the main parts of the document, this saves me a lot of time when delivering tasks. I do some file editing, and with the large number of tools, this is much easier to use. I have been using it for over 2 years, and I do not intend to change software, as this is helping me a lot in my work.

Pros

I have been using Illustrator for a long time, and it is essential for me to edit, create clipboards for creating various materials. With it, it is possible to diversify the work. I use it a lot to edit presentation materials, and quotes for clients. The large number of tools available is impressive, because if you know how to use it, you can edit anything in that program. With Adobe Illustrator, it is possible to generate the PDF file, in several models, with different configurations, which helps all users. Therefore, it is a very versatile and very useful software.

Cons

In the beginning, it takes a lot of dedication to learn all the software shortcuts. It is not so easy for those who are starting. It could be better optimized, because many computers cannot reproduce it easily. And it has some file conversion errors, but they can be fixed easily.

### "Illustrator is my favorite vector software"

July 21, 2021

5.0

My experience with Illustrator has been very good and I plan to continue to use this software to the years to come. I am very happy with the features and have no large issues with Illustrator.

Pros

I love that Adobe Illustrator has all the bells and whistles and functionality that is needed. Illustrator satisfy all the needs of my business and creates seamless vector files. I have used other vector programs and Illustrator is by far my favorite. And I love the shapebuilder tool!

Cons

It has a steep learning curve and it hard to learn initially in my opinion so you must give yourself time to pick up the skills needed. The Adobe Creative Suite all apps is a little pricy at $53 per month, I wish this was a little lower.
