### "Adobe Illustrator: A tool for graphic design"

August 21, 2023

4.0

Superb vector illustration creation and design program. Since I've been using it , Adobe Illustrator and other Adobe Apps are the only graphics-enhancing programs I've found.

Pros

I adore having a broad selection of applications to collaborate. from creating our web pages in Layout to editing films in Premier Pro, to editing photographs in Photoshop. Moving between them effortlessly is a huge advantage.

Cons

I hope there was an automatic saving tool that ran after 10 to 30 minutes to avoid losing the artworks when breakdowns occur when I'm working.

### "Very Capable and Effective Program for the Creation and Manipulation of Vector Art"

February 9, 2021

5.0

Adobe Illustrator has been a leader in vector art applications for nearly three decades. In my experience with it - since 1999, it has been reliable and full featured. Adobe keeps its software solutions up to date with regard to performance and stability. Problems are addressed quickly and effectively.

Pros

All the basics / required editing functions (resize, rotate, reshape, duplicate, insert text, flow text...) are part of Illustrator's feature set and are relatively intuitive. It also contains a great many special filters and object creation tools. Control can be as extensive or specific as needed by the artist. We use Illustrator to design everything from business cards to display booths to communication collateral. Rock solid performance. Adobe also makes certain that Illustrator collaborates well with Photoshop and Acrobat, along with the rest of their applicable application suite.

Cons

It is an extensive and deep program which will demand time to learn from ambitious users - but Adobe provides a good deal of support materials to aid the user in learning and developing their skill set. There are also user groups with tutorials available on social media sites. Really no negatives about it in my opinion.

### "Nice clean and polished vector designs Illustrator "

February 2, 2021

5.0

My overall experience with illustrator has been pleasant, it's quite good for vector designs.

Pros

I like Illustrator for its ability to create vector designs which are essential when you are branding an organization. I like how relatively easy it is to do. I have been able to do create several vector designs from original images. In my opinion, Illustrator leads the pack when it comes to vector designing, especially when starting with an original design. Another program that I use is beaten by Illustrator because it is leaning more toward creating vector designs by first drawing and not necessarily "converting". The other nice part is that the final vector designs I have been able to create have a nice clean and polished finish and were not cartoon-like compared to what I have managed to get when using another program.

Cons

started off with the Creative Cloud about six years ago, first starting with Photoshop and then moving over to Illustrator. Illustrator’s user interface is quite similar to that of Photoshop and some of the tools are similar but their execution is different. I find this unpleasant, this presents a learning curve between Illustrator and Photoshop which I did not expect? Illustrator tends to slow down and can also slow down your PC and I think the time it takes to start-up can be improved. There is a price point to it and you are not able to use it without Creative Cloud. I tend to use illustrator/back and forth only when I need it.

### "smart designs with Adobe illustrator"

September 1, 2021

5.0

It is the best software when it comes to print designs. Images produced are sharp and can be easily edited. Since I am able to save image as pdf, I can share the designs with clients via the phone for their approval.

Pros

1\. designs produced by the software are sharp and of very high quality, especially print designs 2. it is quite easy to learn how to use the software 3. tools can easily be linked to a particular task like "T" to represent typing tool and a cursor like tool to represent select 4. You can save or export the design in various forms

Cons

1.Documents saved as adobe illustrator are very big and take time to open 2. I would prefer right clicking for copy and paste as opposed to CTRL C and CTRL V

Reason for choosing Adobe Illustrator

Its advantages over the alternative are superior compared to the corns.

### "Looking for a tool to boost your art to illustration"

August 1, 2022

3.0

Pros

The most impactful feature is the never ending file exporting and file recovery support. The interface is very helpful with in-panel editing feature. There are massive discounts provided from creative cloud. The files are also in manageable sizes.

Cons

The thing that can be improved is the training it requires to master this tool as the curve to learn it is very steep. Also adding to it is the lack of tutorials given for designs with complexities. The major improvement that would be nice is the shortcuts for softwares of adobe. The cost is something to bear in mind for business users, also the the space it requires is alot. The users need to have patience to work on this tool.

### "I do not know what I would do without it"

August 22, 2018

5.0

I use it for the design of logos, icons, stationery, relamente all type of vector graphic work. Of all the programs I use, this is the one I use the most. For me it is easy to handle and adapts to everything I do.

Pros

I literally do all my work as a designer with him. It is easy to use, it has all the necessary tools for any graphic work. It works very fast. You can install filters, brushes, libraries of colors, graphic styles. The export of the files to other programs is perfect. I dare say it is the workhorse of Adobe, for graphic design.

Cons

For my workflow works quite well, only counted ocations where the program freezes me, but it is the size and weight of what I have done at that time, I think it is more a deficit of memory and space of my computer what of the product. For me it is a great program.

### "One of the tools i rely on not only in design!"

March 7, 2018

5.0

It helped me understand the concept of vectors and objects. It opened up so many possibilities for me!

Pros

It's extremely light and fast. Since it operates on the concept of objects and vectors, it9s great when you have to design large complex illustrations, but also very handy when you need to outline a low-res logotype and make a vector version. I use it on a daily basis - I even make my presentations in it because it's much easier to put your ideas on an artboard with it, rather than making the same thing in PowerPoint, for example.

Cons

Sometimes it crashes when you work with both Photoshop and Illustrator simultaneously (with multiple tabs opened). Other than this small technical challenges which also depend on the power of the computer, it's a tool developed to perfection.

### "I love Illustrator, it's the most powerful tool in my toolkit!"

April 5, 2020

5.0

Other than this issue, Illustrator is a great bit of kit, the best on the market.

Pros

I love the concept of vectors and their creation, so Illustrator is the norm for me to create vector art. The tools available are outstanding, ranging from the pen tool (super useful) and the new curved pen tool, makes shapes easy to make. Artboards are a bin win for me in Illustrator, as they allow me to organise my work and export to multiple formats using Illustrators export to screens feature. Converting to outlines is incredibly easy and quick, making preparing a job for print a breeze to construct and export.

Cons

I feel like the only thing that could be improved with Illustrator is the colour picker, as at times it’s quite clunky and hard to use in comparison to other Adobe tools.

### "Il miglior programma di illustrazione/grafica "

February 2, 2023

5.0

### "This is my go-to Adobe software. "

July 10, 2018

5.0

Pros

This software is the most versatile platform within the Adobe suite for designing. Once you get past the learning curve, the options of what you can do are almost limitless. I know many designers who use Illustrator for both print and digital media. Setting up multiple art boards makes it easy to see your work and how well they correlate with each other. This is also the must have tool for creating gorgeous vector logos. Using this program, you won't ever have to worry about pixelated logos ever again.

Cons

I wish there was a feature where you could toggle on and off to see how your artwork will look like without the bleeds on it (or any over flow), similar to Adobe InDesign. It would make previewing your artwork a lot more fluid and accessible.

### "Essential vector based illustration program"

February 5, 2019

5.0

Overall, a wonderful program. Vector-based, blending modes, and intuitive workflows allow for creative graphic-design software that is unparralleled.

Pros

Feature packed, vector-graphics program. There are many that attempt to do this, but AI does it right. I am biased, as I have been using this software for decades, but it is essential and ubiquitous for graphics. Design, edit, and publish.

Cons

Missing a select same font size functions. Many scripts have been made to do this, but with the latest release, it has made these obsolete and non-functioning. This should be one of the methods for selecting text that should be integral to the software. AI has been called to arms on this and has ignored the request. Here is to hoping that someone finds a way to make the java scripts work again.

### "The Great AI "

November 2, 2018

5.0

With illustrator I'm able to take some of my not so good image quality projects and re-create them in Illustrator to give my lines and coloring that professional touch it needs to send over for printing. Illustrator files insure your work is good quality no matter the size of the print.

Pros

I love the software's easy to use platform. All of the tool presets have icons that are easy to identify. The software is much easier to install because of the cloud based installation that is very helpful if you're an artist like myself who doesn't just use one computer.

Cons

The trace option that I use quite frequently doesn't have a very good accurate trace when it comes to detailed projects or images. I've dabbled and changed the settings as many ways as I can and its still hard to produce it the exact way I would like it.

### "The Vector Drawing Package"

July 11, 2020

4.0

I personally think that Illustrator is a great tool for animations and complex designing. I mostly prefer Illustrator for vector images to the team of www.thejournalpost.com. As I know google loves the infographics stuff so this tool helps me in this matter as well.

Pros

Adobe Illustrator is a revolutionary and advanced vector designing tool that gives multiple ways to accomplish the same design. It is a flexible graphics tool with high-quality graphics that makes it the best vector tool. It comes with suitable printed marketing materials and offers convenient price in the package of adobe creative cloud.

Cons

A little bit complex that sometimes not suit beginners and requires proper training to handle it. Illustrator can be frustrating for developers in the case of half pixels because it annoyingly plays with half pixels while designing for emails or web.

Reason for choosing Adobe Illustrator

Simple reason to choose the Adobe Illustrator is the availability of multiple options to design a perfect vector drawing package. On the other hand, it has a simple and easy to use interface that attracts me over alternatives.

### "Build word class, high quality vectors and graphics with Adobe Illustrator"

February 21, 2021

5.0

Overall, this tool is a blessing to vector/ graphics designers. It's a one-stop for all the operations and the end result is always pleasant. We use it majorly for logo designing and handling vector files at times. It does the job seamlessly along with giving the artist full power to create with their imaginations.

Pros

1\. One of the best tool available in the market for designing logos. 2. Live trace is a great feature that helps you re-draw your project with a click. 3. Vector files can be produced with an infinite level of details. 4. Export your projects to whatever possible format you can think of and therefore, it satisfies all the requirements for any type of format which is required.

Cons

1\. Steep learning curve to be proficient in this tool. 2. Illustrator mobile application is missing, which can be very handy for iPad users. 3. Selection tools within the software can be re-designed as they are hard to use at times, with sharp objects than they actually should be.

### "Illustrator is the design standard for good reason."

July 12, 2018

5.0

There is just nothing like adobe illustrator.

Pros

The best thing about illustrator is it's speed and ease (once you learn the basics) at creating something. Taking an idea from my head to the computer is common, and illustrator is always my go-to solution because it can create industry-standard files easily, and handles several common but tedious tasks well. My favorite tool by far is illustrator's edit colors option. This allows me to tweak a design I created and produce multiple versions in different colors easily, and scientifically so things look incredible! Another great thing is it keeps improving and getting easier to use.

Cons

Occasionally a bug or glitch will stop me from working, but overall this is Adobe's most consistently solid piece of software.

### "Adobe Illustrator is the best option for creative software in the design industry."

January 3, 2018

5.0

Adobe Illustrator helps me effectively design promotional products for both print and web platforms.

Pros

The user interface is easy to use with a minimal learning curve while most other complex programs take a lot more time and effort to become usable. As a perfectionist, I find the features, such as the align and distribute panel, very useful and satisfying. The dark UI not only looks cool but also seems to prevent eye fatigue, especially when spending hours at a time staring at a computer screen.

Cons

Like any complex software, Illustrator has some bugs every now and then but are usually resolved after closing and reopening the file or quitting and restarting the program. This can be annoying at times, especially when when working on a time-sensitive project. For example, sometimes Illustrator will keep an object selected after clicking off of the work area or selecting a different object. Almost every time I save a file, the program briefly goes into "not responding" and parts of the UI turn white like it's about to crash. This makes me question if it at some point it really will crash and not save my work, but so far it hasn't been a problem.

### "Illustrator review by EJFK designs "

February 16, 2021

5.0

My overall experience with illustrator is very positive. I took to it like a fish in water because of how user friendly and easy this program is to use. I would def recommend it to all my design friends that need a program for their art work.

Pros

I actually prefer using Adobe illustrator over photoshop as I feel like it has more options to create better design work. It’s just easier for me to use and gives better options for all over control.

Cons

What I like least about this program is probably it’s price point. I feel like all Adobe products are a little more on the expensive side, even though they are worth every penny with how much you can actually do within the application. Plus you can find any amount of help online as well, which I guess would be more of a pro.

### "Great tool for designers"

February 25, 2021

5.0

Overall, the experience is positive. I have been using Illustrator for over 10 years and it is probably the software I use the most as a design tool. It is extremely powerful, and there's a lot of tools to create interesting work.

Pros

Adobe has been doing a great job of creating a community of people learning Adobe products and users. I have found their daily challenges engaging and very educational, and they have helped open my eyes to features and tools in Illustrator I was unaware of, even after years of using the software.

Cons

Illustrator is not particularly easy to learn. You can jump in and use with few problems, but it takes a lot of time to actually learn the software. I encounter things I can't figure out how to use on a very regular basis and am forced to the forums to figure it out. There are often bugs as well with the constant updates. Also, Illustrator is not an all in one software. I often have to use it in conjunction with Photoshop, AE, and Lightroom. Which is often too much for my computer to handle at once. There are also not very many collaboration tools. It's hard to send files back and forth. Especially if people don't have the same version as I do.

### "A must-have tool for vector designers and graphic artists."

August 31, 2021

5.0

Adobe Illustrator is my 1st and 2nd choice, so you can guess how much I like this program. I would definitely recommend this product to the user.

Pros

Adobe Illustrator is a great tool for illustrations & vector design. If you already know Adobe Photoshop then you already know most of the basics of Adobe Illustrator. So you can start working on Illustrator right away and gradually learn the advanced features of the tool. There are lots of advanced features to reflect your imagination into your design. Using Adobe Illustrator you can easily create logos, infographics, print designs, advertising design, packaging design, and your creative artworks.

Cons

It's a little hard and time-consuming to learn the program from the scratch. Adobe Illustrator is a very resource-hungry application, needs a lot of memory to work on large high definition design. Also, the commercial subscription is a bit costly.

### "My go-to program for designing almost anything"

October 10, 2017

5.0

Pros

Sooner or later almost anything you design is going to be easier to use if you have it in vector format. So unless I'm doing something specialized like photo editing, I always turn to Illustrator to create my designs, from websites to brochures to logos. The past few versions have unleashed some very helpful features, such as multiple artboards. I think it's also become quite a bit easier to create basic designs and add features like drop shadows and rounded corners (but maybe I'm showing my age - I've used it since 2000).

Cons

It bugs me how hard it is to make a truly pixel- or dimension-perfect image. Even with guides, grid, and snap settings tweaked as much as possible, I still end up entering dimensions in the pathfinder to make sure everything is perfectly aligned. One other thing I'd really like to see is a much larger limit on the canvas size. Right now if you want to design something large like a 30-foot banner, you have to do it scaled down - meaning you have to do math. It would be so much easier for me personally if I could design at full size and just see the dimensions - or if they're going to keep constraining the size, at least have a pane that allows you to tell it the scale, so it can calculate things like letter height for you. Speaking of letter height, it would also be really helpful to see the height of ascenders in the transform panel - it varies widely by font and you have to convert text to outlines to get the true letter height.

### "Tying it together and getting better all the time"

February 6, 2019

5.0

I use Illustrator daily to modify graphics and place them into InDesign. I am able to assist in updating graphics and modify graphics and .pdfs and also connect Excel charts. I also use Illustrator to create the cleanest .pdfs and also color charts for brand guidelines. I use illustrator daily.

Pros

The ease of use and also being able to edit .pdfs through Illustrator. Illustrator works well with Microsoft programs too (such as Excel charts). I am easily able to work between programs and the best though is how well/seemless Illustrator works with InDesign.

Cons

The tracing tool could be better. I wish I was better able to outline some complex images with fewer steps. I am adept at this software and appreciate all the complex drawing it can do, but I look forward to Illustrator continuing to simplify these tasks.
