### "Pricey, but best out there"

June 26, 2024

5.0

My experience has been not just satisfactory, but I'd say Illustrator has exceeded my expectations. I learnt graphic designing long back with Coreldraw, and later my job required me to travel a lot, and I came to realize that the industry prefers Illustrator to Coreldraw, and I was forced to learn it. The interesting thing was that it did not really take me a lot of time to get the grasp of it, so it's user friendly as well. Now I can't think of any other software when it comes to vector designing. Illustrator is my go-to software for the majority of my designing needs.

Pros

There are quite a few aspects of Illustrator that I'm fond of, but what I like the most is its integration capability with other Adobe Products, and since I use multiple Adobe products like InDesign & Photoshop, I can affirm with complete confidence that it works seamlessly with these other applications, facilitating a smooth workflow across different design and media projects.

Cons

I'd expect it to be a one time purchase product than a subscription service. Yes, it is powerful, intuitive, and can get the job done like no other software in the designing fraternity, but it's expensive. Since it is available through a subscription model, it requires a monthly or annual fee, and I'm sure a vast majority of people like me would prefer a one-time purchase option for this software.

When I started off learning Illustrator, I just loved its vector graphics capabilities. The vast array of tools and features made it easy for me to switch. Moreover, the integration with other Adobe products was seamless and something that sealed the deal for me.

### "The Powerful Partner for My Creative Journey Really I Liked"

June 29, 2024

5.0

my overall experience with Adobe Illustrator has been incredibly positive. As a designer, I found the software to be an invaluable tool in my creative toolkit, allowing me to bring my ideas to life with precision, flexibility, and artistic flair. The vector-based nature of Illustrator's artwork enabled me to create scalable, high-quality designs that could be seamlessly integrated across a wide range of digital and print media.

Pros

I really enjoyed the sheer flexibility and versatility of Adobe Illustrator. As a designer, I found that the tool's robust set of vector-based drawing and editing capabilities allowed me to bring my creative visions to life with incredible precision and control. From the intuitive pen tool for freehand illustrations, to the powerful shape-building tools, to the seamless integration with other Creative Cloud apps - Illustrator just felt like an extension of my own creative process.

Cons

I believe one of the main drawbacks of Illustrator is its resource-intensive nature, especially when working with large, complex files. The software can place a significant strain on computer hardware, particularly when dealing with high-resolution artwork, complex effects, and multiple artboards. This can lead to sluggish performance, frequent crashes, and frustrating delays, which can negatively impact productivity and creative flow for professional designers working on demanding projects. Additionally, the software's reliance on proprietary file formats (e.g., .ai) can sometimes create compatibility issues when collaborating with team members or clients who may not have access to the full Adobe Creative Cloud suite.

### "Better Quality "

July 3, 2024

5.0

Adobe illustrator is my favorite and I'll probably always use it as long as I can afford it. That being said, I can do most (not all) of the same things with cheaper software.

Pros

What stands out the most is the ability to use a larger canvas size and complex custom brushes without lag time and other issues when painting. Everything is always very smooth and fluid. Adobe illustrator has more tools in general, and more powerful tools for things like selections, color adjustments, and transformations. I also liked the layer and layer property options. I designed a product for my company and the artwork and logo on it turned out great using Adobe illustrator. Overall quality of everything is just better, simple as that.

Cons

Adobe illustrator is significantly more expensive than other digital art software. The workspace and entire software is going to feel very different if youre coming from another product. That could be a pro or con but either way I think there is a small con with the "re-learning" process.

### "Comprehensive Overview of Adobe Illustrator software"

July 1, 2024

5.0

Adobe Illustrator is a strong vector graphics program with excellent precision and scalability, making it appropriate for a wide range of creative jobs. It provides a broad tool set and easy connectivity with other Adobe Creative Cloud products, which improves workflow productivity. Users can benefit from large resources and personalized workspaces, but the software requires a steep learning curve and is expensive. Furthermore, it is resource-intensive and has a sophisticated interface, with less raster capabilities than Photoshop.

Pros

Adobe illustrator hosts a wide number of tools and features that are used for drawing, coloring, and editing your illustrations. It has a Pen tool, Shape Builder, and even gradients to cater to versatile design needs. What ever work we created with in can be scaled up or down without losing quality, making it ideal for both small icons and large banners.

Cons

Cost is the one of the primary drawback for this tool. For beginners it is tool expensive to afford. Initially there was a plan to do one time purchase, later they made it as a subscription format which is made most of the individual users to think for an alternative tool.

### "Definitely NOT my favourite software!"

June 28, 2024

4.0

I needed to learn how to use AI because our graphic designers used it to produce many of our materials and we needed to work collaboratively with them. But BOY does it have a steep learning curve. Sure, it's powerful and produced very crisp, beautiful, and highly specific graphics and learning material that we wanted very customised. But I'm not convinced that we couldn't have done it for cheaper and easier with other software. I'm glad I have the experience, but I wouldn't choose to go back and work with it again.

Pros

AI does what it sets out to do. It can make beautiful graphics and is endlessly customisable. It's compatible with everything so the printers will not complain. You can choose your resolution when exporting. It's probably a graphic designer's dream!

Cons

For those of us who are NOT graphic designers, it is not worth learning for the few projects that you might need it for. Every tiny action that is super simple in other software requires extensive Googling and watching tutorials for AI (if you can find the right tutorial, that is). On top of being needlessly complex, it is also very onerous on a laptop. Mine overheated, crashed, froze, and responded very slowly whenever I had one of my larger AI files up. On top of that, there are free software alternatives, like DaVinci Resolve, that will probably take care of all your needs AND have ample tutorials available.

### ""Adobe Illustrator: A Versatile Tool for Precision and Creativity""

June 26, 2024

4.0

Overall, Adobe Illustrator is a powerhouse for vector graphic design, offering unparalleled precision and creative control. Despite its initial complexity, the investment in learning pays off with professional-grade results. The frequent updates and integration with Adobe's ecosystem further enhance its utility. It’s an indispensable tool for any serious graphic designer, balancing power and flexibility.

Pros

Adobe Illustrator's precision and versatility stand out. The ability to create scalable vector graphics with incredible detail is unmatched. The wide array of tools and effects, coupled with seamless integration with other Adobe Creative Cloud apps, enhances workflow efficiency. Its robust performance, even with complex designs, makes it a favorite among graphic designers.

Cons

The steep learning curve can be a drawback for beginners. Its extensive toolset, while powerful, can be overwhelming initially. Additionally, Illustrator's subscription model may be a barrier for some users, and occasional performance lags with very large files can disrupt workflow. These factors can impact accessibility and usability for new and budget-conscious designers.

### "Illustrator is for me the go-to for doing vector illustrations "

July 19, 2024

5.0

Once you understand how to use it, Illustrator is a very effective tool and fast to use. I am very satisfied of its capabilities, although I have not had any formal training to use it.

Pros

Very large extent of the features: precise control of the vectors, advanced color management, management of layers, different export and import possibilities, management of multiple pages (allows to create short documents more quickly than InDesign, especially if they are heavy in visuals), good handling of text.

Cons

The user interface is not the most intuitive, so there is a learning curve, and it is not so easy to know what else you can do (there are so many possibilities and some are "buried" in the interface).

### "Trazando creatividad con Adobe Illustrator"

June 30, 2024

5.0
