### "Self-taught Illustrator user only scratching the surface"

April 18, 2019

4.0

Adobe Illustrator has been a key programme and tool in running my successful small, creative business.

Pros

I taught myself how to use Illustrator so what I like most is that you can teach yourself to use it. I don't know 100% of the programme (I'm not sure anyone does) but I feel like I learn new things every time I use it. It makes hand-illustrators be able to be graphic designers and really bring drawings to life.

Cons

As an illustrator, sometimes I find the details of quite detailed drawings get lost when using the image trace tool. I wish that there was more of an accurate translation when vectorizing drawings, although it is still quite accurate.

### "World's best vector design application"

April 12, 2019

5.0

Pros

It's so easy to use once you learn it. It's extremely versatile, you can create custom patterns, brushes, and do pretty much anything you need to.

Cons

I can't think of anything I like least, maybe the export panels could be a little easier to use.

### "If you are a professional use illustrator"

August 14, 2018

5.0

Pros

Illustrator is a very complete software for graphic design, the most important and surely the most diffuse.

Cons

Like all professional programs the learning curve is steeper at the beginning. Combining short previews of the command would be useful.

### "Vectors everywhere"

November 28, 2018

5.0

Adobe Illustrator must be one of my favorite design tools. Love to work with vectors? Need a scalable design? This one is for you. Cut, merge, divide, copy, create everything you want, in every way you want. Great for web designs.

Pros

\- limitless design capabilities - intuitive in process - great predefined templates - integration with other Adobe graphic tools

Cons

\- weak text editing tools - you might find the online support difficult to communicate

### "Great Software, Though Quite Technical When New to It"

November 5, 2019

5.0

It's a cool software. Though they should work on their customer support.

Pros

1\. The ability to attach amazing add ons and plugins to create awesome designs. 2. It gives more advanced features as compared to my previous design software

Cons

My least favorite thing about Adobe Illustration was the technicality it gave me when I started out. It took me months to master it.

### "AI digital art "

September 19, 2018

3.0

For designers it is very useful, in my experience it has been useful for me to create icons, buttons, logos, etc. As elements that make up a clear web page that in my terms only use part of a more complex tool, the only detail to take into consideration is the high cost that as a designer you should have on your PC

Pros

For the average designer it is essential to have a tool that facilitates the performance of their skills, this Adobe tool offers them mostly, this translates into increased productivity, images are not usually as heavy and occupy less disk space compared to a bitmap, the image quality is not affected by the scale, afterwards it can be modified in the future

Cons

The images are saved as vector graphics by consecuncias must be processed and it requires a PC powerful enough to build the final image plus it translates into pixels at the end, for all this in addition to your license cost should also be taken in Consideration the high cost of the technical requirements of the PC where it runs.

### "Powerful tool when you know how to use it"

February 12, 2020

5.0

I've used AI to created marketing ads, postcards, posters, concert programs, social media graphics, and more. I've learned to allow for a lot of time when I am trying to use a feature for the first time, but I am consistently pleased with the features that AI supports.

Pros

The graphic design possibilities are endless with what AI features allow, and designs export nicely into whatever format needed, included for high quality printing.

Cons

As someone who does not have a formal background in graphic design, AI is not intuitive. There are fortunately many online tutorials that make this software usable, but it is a learning curve.

Reason for choosing Adobe Illustrator

Industry standard.

### "Best vector illustration software"

August 21, 2023

5.0

In our case, we use illustrator a lot to produce advertising posters, menus for restaurants, images for social networks and much more. It is the best solution for this type of work.

Pros

Illustrator is the best vector drawing software. The amount of options it offers is extremely complete and it's the best for collaborating with other people or teams.

Cons

The illustrator's greatest difficulty is learning to work with it. Another con it has is that the keyboard shortcuts are different from other adobe products.

### "Adobe Illustrator"

October 14, 2019

4.0

Overall, great experience. I can't imagine not having this software.

Pros

I love being able to create vector art that can easily be reshaped and re-sized. There are lots of tools to use and play around with.

Cons

The thing I like least is probably the cost, even with a student discount, it ends up being a little on the pricey side.

### "Illustrator - Used Only For Some Things"

November 2, 2018

4.0

Pros

The Illustrator features work well for text-heavy projects. Working with True Fonts, the print comes out nicely, especially with small fonts.

Cons

The interface is confusing and not as well-developed as Adobe's other products such as Photoshop.

### "An essential for Graphic Designers & Illustrators"

June 16, 2019

5.0

Day to day supply of print ready artwork and easy graphic repo's from PDF's and existing documents.

Pros

Lightweight & intuitive software, still the number 1 offering for vector artwork.

Cons

The lack of a fully fledged iPad app, Adobe should take note of Affinity Designer.

### "Illustrator has helped me with creating additional content for my online video training courses"

June 26, 2018

5.0

I've been able to create some logos, hand outs for my online video training courses, title slides for video, and a variety of other graphics. Once you understand how to use it, it's pretty easy.

Pros

I like that it's "somewhat" simplistic and easy to use. Yes, there are a ton of things you can do with Illustrator to make very complicated vectors, but really, you can create some amazing vectors without too much trouble. A lot of the new features allow you to make changes easily as well.

Cons

I'm not a fan of the pricing model/subscription. I'd rather just have the software on my computer as a one-time fee and upgrade when I want.

### "My favorite adobe product"

November 26, 2018

Sometimes it feels like the best thing ever, other times it is a necessary evil (when its bugging out)

Pros

The endless possibilities to create whatever graphic you need. As well as its integration with other adobe products

Cons

The constant updating switching thing around.

### "An industry standard"

January 22, 2019

5.0

Pros

Illustrator is an absolute must have software if you're a designer or illustrator. Actually - you can benefit from this program if you're any creative type at all. It has so many powerful features - even some that as a user of 10+ years, I still haven't mastered. It allows you to create almost anything. It's also being constantly updated with new features.

Cons

The con to having so many features and being updated so frequently is that it might be a challenge to keep up with everything. I think that's still a good problem to have! Also, when bogged down, Illustrator is known to crash occasionally - so save your work often!

### "Endless Possibilities"

March 13, 2018

5.0

Difficult at first to learn, but well worth the time and energy to learn it. Amazing product with infinite possibilities.

Pros

There are so many possibilities with this program. I thoroughly enjoy using this product for custom graphics and photo editing.

Cons

This is not a program that is easy to learn, but it is possible to learn over time. There are also many online tutorials that can be accessed in order to become an expert.

### "The Best Graphic Design Tool"

March 13, 2019

Cons

### "Lots of Flexibility but Complicated & Costly"

September 26, 2018

4.0

Great to use Illustrator to create figures for scientific papers and posters. I wish the content was easier to use and manipulate, at a beginner or moderate level. However, I tend to use Illustrator over PowerPoint to create experimental setup figures and to modify graphs.

Pros

Lots of functions. There are options for different effects on content (like ink stamps, pixels, cartoon) and the ability to create layers to organize the different components of a project. There are many options for tools and colors, and combining different media is do-able.

Cons

I abhor the mandatory subscription to have this software. Adobe should bring back the one-time purchase option... the Adobe Cloud is not useful for those of us that use Illustrator sporadically. Also, the latest version of Illustrator is not updated to meet the compatibility of newer computers. For example, the resolution on an HP Spectre laptop from 2017 is too high for the latest Illustrator, so the icons are extremely small on the laptop.

### "Illustrator Review"

June 17, 2020

4.0

Adobe Illustrator has benefitted my personal and professional life by allowing me to make simple graphics and marketing materials relatively quickly. Once you become familiar with the product, you will want to incorporate it more into your every day life.

Pros

Some of the features of Illustrator are relatively easy to use if you need to create a quick graphic or make edits to an existing graphic. This software can help people in their professional life or personal life and Adobe has a lot of support features in order to implement it.

Cons

Illustrator does take some time to get used to and learn. You cannot just open the software and know exactly what to do if you are unfamiliar with Adobe products. To become an expert at Illustrator requires much training, but once that happens it is easy to implement and is one of the more popular design tools.

### "Great for Promotion Designs with Text "

January 29, 2020

5.0

It is the number graphic design tool that I use and that all my marketing and graphic designer friends use as well. It does everything you can think of and more. There's also a multitude of videos and programs that are free to teach you even more tips and tricks.

Pros

I love the fact of anchor points which allow you to morph anything on the design including the text itself which can be quite tedious to change on other graphic design software. I also like that you adobe programs have a similar toolbox so that when you are using them interchangeably it's not so confusing.

Cons

When you are working on huge projects the memory does add up and if you don't have a fast enough computer or just working too large of a project that means the possibility of computer lag or even just completely stopping does pop up. I have had my computer crash and so learned my lesson and have it where it automatically saves my work in intervals.

### "Great product, need to learn"

September 22, 2020

5.0

I love it, i prefer to learn how to use it than use corel that has so many problems when saving in different formats. Ilustrator is so easy to save in anything, by artboard, without artboards, its great.

Pros

The easy it is to use vectors on this software is great, the new chances to edit your gradients i think it's my favourite.

Cons

You really need to learn how to use it studying it, is not as intuitive as corel , so you need to have some information and learn the tips and tricks.
