### "Adobe Illustrator Review"

August 14, 2023

5.0

Pros

I consider AI the industry standard for vector art. the program seamlessly works with After Effects, to easily connect the design team with illustrators. There is a bit of a learning curve, but the options of use are unlimited once skills are learned.

Cons

Bit overwhelming to originally learn, but Adobe is working to try and offer suggestions when you open the app.

### "Great design platform"

November 16, 2019

5.0

I am mostly very happy with Illustrator and will continue to use it for creating artwork for my business.

Pros

This software works really well for designing high-quality ads, flyers, posters, business cards or anything else that you could be using digitally or for print.

Cons

The learning curve on it is very steep. It took a long time to get used to the platform and how to use it. Without instruction or help from an experienced user, it sometimes takes a long time to learn it. I did not like how compared to other Adobe software, some shortcuts and tools worked completed differently.

### "It sets the standard"

December 10, 2019

5.0

For me, being able to quickly update my layouts in Illustrator make working on my projects a breeze. And for animation purposes, not having to worry about scaling in my video editors also makes life easier.

Pros

I'm not as proficient as other users of illustrator, but it works well for me. I mostly use it for creating DVD covers, but it has a wide array of uses. Other users in my office use it for creating pamphlets and brouchures. It's far better for these layout type designs then trying to create them within photoshop. It's also useful for my animations in video to create hi-res vector images

Cons

Illustrator had a pretty steep learning curve for me but didn't take long to figure it out. But could be difficult for some.

### "For professionals"

January 5, 2021

5.0

I've done a lot of work on the software, both for personal work and for clinicians and a lot to finish artwork for output on offset, gravure and digital printers, I always get the result I expect

Pros

I have been working with software for many years and have followed how it developed and adding more specialties to the area of marketing professionals, it is not easy, but learning the right way and an excellent driver for a well finished job.

Cons

The functionality of working with font editors, such as formatting how to leave in different formats, curvilinear, or accompanying a rounded object is still a little to be desired in my opinion

### "You can do just about anything!"

July 27, 2017

5.0

More professional digital content, that can be learned by anyone with a little art experience and computer know how. Easily design custom sell sheets, logos, labels, mock up designs, business cards etc.

Pros

The versatility of Adobe Illustrator is incredible, one minute you could be creating products labels, the next a customizable logo, or flyer. The possibilities are endless. I find incredibly helpful to my career progression and will continue to learn it's capabilities to master the craft of digital illustration.

Cons

The learning curve is a bit steeper than projected but flattens out dramatically with time and effort. Large functionality often results in increased difficulty, but nothing easy in life is worth doing. If you want software that is easy to use, you will have to sacrifice functionality. The choice is yours.

### "The best Software for Vector Graphics"

June 6, 2019

5.0

I used it 2+ years and It's just great

Pros

It is very highly compatible with Adobe Photoshop. I can use this in parallel with Adobe photoshop. We can get a lot of stuff (vector artwork) online free of cost that can edit it very easily with Adobe Illustrator. The best thing I like is "Shape Builder Tool" Selection, Alignment and Appearance panels have very good options. Even we have 3D Extrude and bevel. 3D Rotaton and Revolve. It's very good and flexible.

Cons

When should have autosave options. Sometimes software crashes and our efforts get wasted. If we have Autosave option, we can feel more secure.

### "Illustrator has been and continues to been a useful and powerful tool."

August 15, 2017

4.0

Illustrator has helped me design logos, print and web marketing material, and even websites. It's also a great tool for designing pdf documents. I use it to create custom proposals and invoices.

Pros

Illustrator gives you a great amount of control over your work. The selection tools might seem unintuitive at first, but they're incredibly useful once you understand how to use them. Illustrator is similar to Photoshop in that the depth of features and possibilities is truly amazing. You can use Illustrator for years and not even be aware of many of the tools and features.

Cons

Bugs. There are bugs. I have reported these bugs but they just don't get fixed. Several years ago I was on the phone for 1-2 hours with support trying get the support tech to acknowledge the bug. Finally he got it and then said the bug fix would be escalated. Well, it's 2017 and the bug is still there (along with all the others I reported). Illustrator is great, but it's not improving. It just is what it is.

### "Versatile & Easy To Use! "

March 15, 2018

5.0

Adobe is the industry standard for digital art creation, so using Illustrator for collaborative projects makes it very easy to share projects (as most artists already have it installed).

Pros

Illustrator is amazing for creating line and vector art, making it my go-to choice for logo creation. It is also tightly integrated with the rest of the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, making moving between projects and even other workstations very seamless.

Cons

The learning curve can be intimidating for some people, even those that have experience with Adobe Photoshop. The interface can also be overwhelming.

### "Adobe Illustrator is an Excellent and Essential Tool for Any Designer"

February 28, 2019

5.0

Adobe Illustrator has always been an essential tool in my design career. It has not really given me troubles (like some software programs can) and has so many great features.

Pros

I really love all the possibilities of Illustrator. You can get a good understanding of the software in a short time, but I am always learning something new. How much you want to learn is really in the hands of the user.

Cons

I've had a few rare occasions where overprint has caused me a little bit of grief. I really can't think of anything else - typically any frustrations come from my knowledge base and are easily solved with a quick search of the question.

### "The best graphic design tools"

February 6, 2019

4.0

Pros

Adobe Illustrator is the best software for graphic design. It is great for beginners who are learning or just want to create something simple, but also great for experienced designers who do it for a living.

Cons

Even though the program is easy to learn, there is A LOT to learn if you want to make more complex designs. It takes some time to get into everything, and to memorize what the different tools can do.

### "Design graphics with precision."

July 16, 2018

5.0

Once you have mastered the drawing tools and basic concepts then this program will be essential for you.

Pros

This software innovates too much, each time it has very useful functions for working with vectors. The work tables simplify the designs, especially for logos or banners. You can make several designs of the same theme in a single file with several work tables.

Cons

At the beginning if it can be very complex to learn how to use it because of the myriad of options. You have to have intermediate notions of graphic design. If you have a low-end computer you will have problems.

### "My go-to tool for vector works"

December 5, 2019

5.0

Illustrator is my go-to vector software. I've been using it for so long now I can't even imagine changing to a different software, or even why. Curve handling is just perfect and smooth, and I've used it for a wide variety of jobs, like illustration, web design, app design, Identity design/logos, etc.

Pros

Illustrator is a really easy to use vector software, and really powerful. There's almost nothing you can't do. It handles work load fairly well, and the way it handles curves is just the best for me. Nothing compares to it.

Cons

If you want to use really complex brushes or a lot of native shadows, the files become quite heavy, and take a lot from the machines.

### "Great for vector drawings"

December 9, 2019

4.0

It is an essential if you are a digital illustrator. As a UIUX designer, I use it to make iconography.

Pros

It is great for vectorizing any design, type or drawing. Once you learn how to use the pen tool effectively it is extremely good. Adobe illustrator also allows you to get really precise with your drawings that way - unlike vectors in Sketch.

Cons

The software can get kind of glitchy at times and cause mum computer to lag a lot. I have used another software called Glyphs that allows you to make vector drawings - mostly for logos - and it takes up a lot less computing power.

### "Illustrator Experience "

March 7, 2021

5.0

My experience has been very good, considering I do not have the best computer of the world, the software works amazingly well and I have not had any issues with it. The things I always need to do are logo designs or vectors which in my experience, everyone uses Illustrator to do that. The compatibility with other softwares and especially from Adobe products, is one of the main points I want to point out as a differentiator.

Pros

What I like most about this software, is the ease of use and how it can be used with other Adobe products such as After Effects and Premiere Pro. I consider Illustrator to be the main software for professional graphic designers. Another aspect I like about Illustrator is that the amount of things done and how efficient it is for intense work is outstanding.

Cons

Maybe an aspect I don't like as much is the UI, I think it should be updated because I have used it for a while and it does not mean that it is not aesthetically pleasing, but a bit of a change could be good.

Being in the printing industry this is a must-have software for editing setting up top quality artwork.

Pros

Ease of sharing and sending files to clients and colleagues. Lots of great tutorials help you with Illustrators' wide variety of uses.

Cons

There is definitely a learning curve if you haven't been exposed to design software in the past. Once you are past that it is a great resource.

### "The best way to create a new form of art- an Adobe Illustrator review"

October 18, 2018

4.0

It gets me excited everytime someone contacts me for commission. I use this software to get and create new form of art- the vector one. Every artists use it but even the newbies could understand it with some tutorials. This software is a must!

Pros

All the tools featuring this software program is really easy to use. It's very versatile and powerful in scaling and editing photos. When it comes to drawing vector graphics, creating logos, icons and more, nothing can replace Adobe Illustrator. Everything is very accessible and really imformative. You can do anything in any ways and tecniques. Another one, it imports photos in a high definition quality. Hands up!

Cons

Due to it's high requiring storage, sometimes it affects other softwares to run very slow. Also, it affects the performance of the computer. Unfortunately some features are not necessarily intuitive.Another thing is, I have some problems with the customer service, there are times that they response in not the expected time.

### "My go to application for graphic design"

November 26, 2019

5.0

I use Illustrator on a daily basis for work when using digital files such as SVG and PDFs. I have never experienced any functionality issues and due to there being no real competition, it's hard to imagine using anything else.

Pros

Like all Adobe products, they all interlink with each other seamlessly and have a clean aesthetic which makes it extremely appealing. It's features also give you a wide scope when cocnerning digital design elements.

Cons

There was a time when using Adobe software was much cheaper than it is now. The price packages from Adobe as a whole are quite restrictive and can be expensive.

### "Must have program for graphical designers and amateurs"

June 8, 2020

5.0

The program is amazing. It allows to create simple vector shapes and drawings, 3D models and photo-realistic images (I’m still in the process of learning, so I only have simple vector drawings). The program will be useful to both illustrators and print designers.

Pros

Most often I use Illustrator for drawing. Adobe did everything so that the programs were similar in appearance, so Illustrator is very similar to Photoshop. All menu items are identical, hot buttons are the same, toolbars and palettes are floating, they can be arranged as conveniently.

Cons

In general, I advise those who are going to learn Illustrator to first learn the tutorial program from scratch. Tutorials will teach you how to use every button, each function. Only after that proceed to "random" lessons on YouTube. That was my mistake when I only started using Illustrator. I have watched several random videos on YouTube and was lost in the program.

### "An upgrade from Corel Draw"

March 16, 2019

5.0

We switched to Adobe Illustrator from Corel Draw a few years ago. The change has definitely been positive. It is a much more high quality design program, that uses vectors to maintain perfect graphics quality with no generational loss. It also deals with large format designs for large pages, which Corel Draw had difficulties dealing with. I would certainly recommend Adobe Illustrator for anyone in the design industry.

Pros

We used to use Corel Draw, and Adobe Illustrator is a massive upgrade from that. It is more clean looking, and has much more professional features.

Cons

It has a steep learning curve, and many of the tools are layered, with hard to find options for their configuration.
