" February 21, 2025 5.0 I think Microsoft Outlook is the best platform for an personal email account - I use it for various purposes as a graduate student, speech language pathology assistant, and other personal uses. Pros I like how organized the application is and how I can use my account for various purposes (work, social, personal and promotions) Cons It was a process to switch to Microsoft from a competitor, and it took getting used to the focused folder vs the other folder, however now I love it! Pros I like how easy it is for me to organise my emails and to prioritise the emails that need to be addressed immediately. Cons It has been very difficult to think about what I least like about it. The spam filtering is very good. I have never had an issue with the calendar integration. You can access and connect on a web browser or the app which is useful! And I find it generally easy to use. Pros The thing I like most about Microsoft outlook is the security and the many features it offers. I don't even use all of them, but there are plenty of options Cons The thing I like least about Microsoft Outlook is that searching is a little inconsistent and oftentimes it is hard to find a specific email with a keyword. I've used it my entire life. It's reliable and is integrated with everything Microsoft. Pros I love that it integrates perfectly into my windows laptop. The calendar is a great feature since it adds my appointments automatically. The inbox being separated into two, included focused, helps keep priority emails up front. Cons I receive a ton of junk mail to my Outlook email which is easy to ignore but some important emails are also sent to junk so I have to sift through before deleting all. Pros This mailbox is the best I can find for now, the interface is the most easy that I find after try to use at least 5 different mailboxes app. My favorite function is that you can have the calendar everytime open on the lateral with all your meeting. You can have a lot of information at the same time. Cons My least preferred function is that you don't have a automatic shit mail box, for all the scam automatically detected. And when you have the black background, you can't see sometimes the pictures or the letters of the mails if it come from a picture without white background. Pros It allow us to connect with other Microsoft products like word, excel, GitHub, copilot and for institutions is a lot helpful. Cons The fact that if an institution email is not well configured it's easy break security rules like when other people send an email on the group, you are able to see all the details about it. The way it connects with other Microsoft programmes makes for easy collaboration too. Cons Sometimes it is difficult to find what you are looking for when you search through old emails - you search for a key word or subject line and it can bring back lots of unwanted emails so a way to filter better would be good. No longer needing to send a reply when i can react to acknowledge it was received. Pros I love the ease of searching, replying, composing and separating messages. Creating multiple email signatures is easy. Cons Nothing. Its a great program. But if i had to mention whats my least favorite part, that the old version does not allow the same beautiful backgrounds like the newer version does.
