Pros Microsoft 365 has been very useful for both my professional and personal needs. I use it regularly for email, file storage, document creation, and sharing files with others. The biggest advantage is that everything is connected in one place, so it saves a lot of time and keeps my work organized. I use it for work-related tasks at The Brick, where I manage training documents, emails, and product information. I also used Microsoft tools while completing professional courses and learning new skills, including organizing notes and study materials. One of the most helpful features is file sharing and cloud access through OneDrive. I can access my documents from anywhere, whether I’m on my phone or laptop. Entra ID havig P2 licenses is very important that have access to all the security and Conditional access policies. Security features in this and exchange admin centre specifically to email related excellent and very easy to deploy. In the Entra portal and Security admin the default security score based on existing configured policies is very helpful and then suggestions how we can implement more and make the secure score more. Cons Support services now gets weak. Whenever you face an issue then you need to first reach out to the partner now from whom licenses are purchased. If issue is not resolved by the partner team then on your behalf they will raise a ticket to Microsoft which can take a lot of time now. Pros The biggest advantage for us is that MS 365 gives us access to enterprise-level tools and infrastructure at charity pricing, while making communication, collaboration and day-to-day running of our organisation (especially amongst the Board members) much easier, because everything works together. Cons While the charity pricing is excellent, 365 can become more complex than expected (especially for older members of our Board), and unless carefully managed, smaller charities can end up paying for services they don't fully use while creating extra administration overhead for the more techie volunteers in IT and admin roles. Desktop apps are a market standard and I can't see how anyone can compete with Outlook or Excel Pros Microsoft 365 (previously Office 365) is a bundle that includes multiple desktop/cloud apps such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote - The biggest pro for me is ease of use - if you are a regular user that uses a Windows Home version or if you are an enterprise company with thousands of users, MS 365 is the best choice for everyone - MS 365 is available in both desktop and cloud variants. Both would have their advantage and disadvantage, but for the better experience I use Desktop - MS 365 includes Outlook. In my opinion Outlook is the best email application on the market, I can't think of anything else that could compete even closely. - Word is a perfect word processing app, Excel is one of the most powerful office applications on the market. Creating and managing documents without these apps is impossible today. Same as Outlook, these apps are standard office apps on the market and anyone can compete even closely. - All the applications allow you to collaborate and share files with other users. You can work with someone on the same Excel spreadsheet or Word file, the other user just needs to have a license for MS 365 apps on their device if they want to do it in desktop version. - File conversion is easy. If you have a doc file it's easy to convert it to a different format. Cons \- Microsoft 365 is quite pricey if you need desktop versions of apps - As always, Microsoft support is a hit-or-miss, so if something is not working correctly - good luck - Microsoft is a bit shady about MS 365 right now trying to include Copilot for a higher price. It's great for work, especially when it comes to their autosave feature. I don't know how many times their autosave feature has saved me honestly. Additionally, they are pretty great on storage. Cons What I like least about Microsoft 365 is how limited the access can be, especially because it's a paid software so it tends to get very pricey and sometimes formats converted to other formats tend to get weird. The program package allows me do everything from book keeping to daily office notes and all my professional correspondence. I have been appreciative that 365 has kept the same look and interface for the most part over the years to make the transition towards upgrades and modernization easy for those that grew up on Office. Reliability is essential for most office settings and 365 has never disappointed on what it delivers year after year. Pros I have always found Microsoft to be user friendly. From the initial versions of office to the current vehicle of 365. I have found it is a one stop program for all my office needs. I use Word for my documents and patient notes, Excel for my book keeping and tax documents and love the capabilities of PowerPoint for my health lectures. As times have changed, options like google docs have provided alternatives, but I find Microsoft 365 has always been a more reliable product. The file extensions never provide an issue with communications of my healthcare vendors.The compatibility features seem to flawlessly correct issues while file sharing with others using older versions of the programs. Maybe I'm a creature of habit or its Microsoft 365's superiority, but I haven't seen an all in one office product that would steer me in another direction. Cons I love the product's reliability and capabilities without complaint. If I had to nitpick and look for a flaw, I would say the change in the subscription. The old days of Office you would by the product and have your license key. Computer upgrades, operating system changes etc would allow you to install the product for years. The current subscription is yearly, so its costing you on an annual basis compared to the Microsoft Office days of yesterday. That would be what I like least about the product. I appreciate all the efforts Microsoft put into connecting tools with each other, and the way SharePoint serves as an overarching platform for file share and documentation. Microsoft support through admin center is 10/10, and they quickly provide reply and are eager to jump on a call to resolve an issue if possible (and issues do occur sometimes when you’re a Mac app user of Word, Excel… especially when working on big files or changing organizations when collaborating with externals). Outlook is really on a good level, and their spam filters work nicely, as well as the “Other emails” tab. Sometimes bugs can occur, but knowing that you can always relay on their web version. M365 is easy to use when you don’t have big requirements, but even if you have, there’s just so much resources and support really wants to help. Good value for the money overall, and I am looking forward to seeing how M365 will evolve with Copilot and PowerAutomate features Cons I didn’t give highest score as I really see how much M365 can become, and I’m sad it’s still not there, and how sometimes some basic issues aren’t resolved with new updates, like in SharePoint (searchable columns with metadata fields), or with Excel files that contain macros and in which multiple people collaborate simultaneously. I just see how better it could and probably will become, but for some things it’s hard to wait to be resolved. Review Source Salina P. I learn new things each and every day. Pros I have strong capabilities in both business and personal areas. My Business account keeps me fully updated on many aspects. I do like the apps I can use anywhere as long as I have access to them. So many items still not explored. I prefer it over Google and Apple products because they are just more user-friendly, and you have the freedom to customize your projects how you see fit. All of the apps read into each other, so if one does not fit your problem at hand, you can easily move all of your work and data to another one. Example from Word to Excel and even Pdf. Pros Microsoft Word, SharePoint, and Excel. The real-time collaboration with my team on projects that cuts down on multiple meetings a day. Makes work more productive. Real-time collaboration and commenting are especially helpful when getting feedback or approvals. Cons There are a lot of tools included, so it can feel like more than you need at first. Some features take time to learn, but once everything is set up, it becomes very efficient.
