I would say it has been a positive experience. Pros It’s really nice to keep all your different data styles stored in one place. Microsoft does a great job keeping things organized. Incredible array of functionality and integrations that can be customized for literally any size business in any sector. The core products (Sharepoint, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) work seamlessly with an ever growing list of very useful add ons (Forms, Lists, Loop, etc.). Cons Because there is so much to the suite, it is hard to keep up with all the available offerings as new products have a learning curve period. Microsoft also rolls out a lot of updates, and sometimes they do something you don't like that can be hard to undo. But usually it is for the best eventually. Having a strong IT support team is critical for complex organizations. It’s been very valuable. I’ve written numerous reports, books, and notes. I’ve used excel to keep track of budgets and other things. Pros The many different applications I find extremely useful for daily work. I am constantly using word and publisher and excel. Honestly without these programs I would not be able to work properly. Cons The yearly subscription fee. It used to be you would buy it 1 time and you could upgrade but it wasn’t mandatory. I use it to deploy Microsoft 365 licenses to users. Soon, I will use InTune to manage MS MDM devices. Pros I like that it helps get a Microsoft based cloud environment going much easier than installing it all on servers. Cons I find it harder to navigate and use than Google Workspace. I love using OneNote for work and personal organization. Pros It has all the programs you need for work and personal use in one place. Everything is integrated making it easy to use. On Black Friday, I ordered a laptop with a discount. I entered my bank account information and waited for more than a month. After many weeks, Microsoft still couldn’t charge my card, and they said they wanted to receive the full price of the laptop without the discount. They did not explain why they could not charge my card. They said that I must pay the full amount, or they would cancel my order. Do not waste your time and money on this garbage. It worked well and utilized the cloud wonderfully, but it stagnated over time. Outside of excel, it seemed as though other programs offered better solutions. Pros We initially chose this as it was a cloud-based solution and it was the standard. We liked the compatibility with legacy files, the affordability, the storage, and the ease of working with the system. I am still getting the hang of it, and at times it does not seem as streamline as google docs. Maybe if there was a simpler icon to open up the other apps that would be beneficial. Pros The ease of use and the value for the money. It provides a lot of excellent apps. For example, my husband taught me how to use one that I can use as a notebook. Cons For some reason I cannot bookmark my drive so that I just open up my files. As mentioned later on, also a little slow to go in between the applications. I think I do use it, I had Office 2013 but i never could make it work, I got tired of being locked out of Publisher so I started using scribus. Pros I did like publisher but i think that have dropped that product, I think word does read documents out loud so that is good. Cons Cost, It is very expensive, i think It does cost a lot of money per week, or per month or per year.
