Pros I use Microsoft 365 because it allows me to work optimally by taking advantage of Office software as well as online file sharing and storage. Cons I don't see any disadvantages on the Microsoft 365 software, thanks to its accessible features, I can easily exchange my data between applications, in order to improve my workflow and increase productivity. I need it to complete my freelance work and would not be able to have a career in the writing field like I do today without it. Pros I am a freelance writer/editor and use Office 365 constantly! Everything I need is literally at my finger tips. I use Word for small and huge projects, sometimes 50,000 word documents that get sent to my clients. Word always stays in the right form when sent and my clients from all over the world use Word so it's the best way to transfer back and forth. Powerpoint is amazing for projects I've been part of. It is so simple but look so well done upon completion. One nice thing about Office 365 is the templates that you have access to. It makes it easy to pull up a template quickly and edit it to your info and be done. It looks very professional. Cons My only complaint is I did run into some issues at one point where he kept signing me out and it was a pain to keep logging back in, but it was fixed and hasn't happened in a few months. Microsoft finally made Office work in the cloud properly. It took a few tries, and a few years, but they finally got it right. Microsoft 365 (formally Office365, formally Office) finally works in the cloud, and Microsoft has put themselves back on top. I've been a daily user of Microsoft Office since 1990. I've also been a daily user of Google Workspace (formally G-Suite, formally Google Apps) since 2006. I have trained thousands and taught both for decades. I still use both Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 on a daily basis and am glad that Office finally works in the Cloud now. Pros Microsoft finally makes Office work properly in the Cloud. I can use industry standard Word docs and Excel spreadsheets and finally use and share them in the cloud. Cons Microsoft change things too often and either break things or make them difficult to find. Like most Microsoft software, it's still a little buggy. Pros In my opinion Office365 is the best business software bundle on the market. Our team use it a lot every day and we are very satisfied with its efficiency, especially in collaboration work. Most of Office365 apps are very easy to use and deployment. Cons Maybe the least negative side of the Office365 is its price. Sometimes it's almost 2-3 times higher than its competitors though the same features/options are present. But we usually find a workaround in such cases. For example sometimes we try to use opensource projects to replace some Office365 features. Another difficult part of Office365 is licensing. Sometimes it's too complex to understand which kind of the license you need to use. I was already a classic Office user and having it in the cloud made it even better. Cons I know it is a classic tool ported to the cloud with many benefits, but I would like it to introduce new features at the same speed as other similar tools and sometimes have a more elegant interface. I remember back in the day when I had to download all these programs separately and although the programs were useful and I loved them, it really was a bur trying to do each one separately. The ease of use has really gone up over the years. Pros What I liked most about 365 is it's all around usefulness. Whether you're in college or run a business, Office 365 covers all your needs. It's easy to use, doesn't take forever to download, and it has all the programs you could ever need. Microsoft, alone, has already proven how user-friendly their programs are and Office 365 is just another example of how they have their users in mind. Instead of having to worry about multiple programs and multiple downloads, Office 365 has it all together in one simple download. Cons I honestly thought long and hard but, I can't think of anything other than pricing. Seems a bit steep, however, I can't really blame them with how useful the program is. It's worth every penny. From managing documents, emails services, and managing data, Microsoft 365 is an all-in-one solution. Pros The thing we like most is not to worry about hosting data on our own premises. With Microsoft 365, everything is stored securely on the cloud. Also, there are constant updates on the products, and the monthly subscription, it saves us money on the need to upgrade when a new version is released. I prefer to use my desktop for most Office applications, but when in need, I can also quickly view my students' submissions on my iPhone without too much trouble (although obviously there are size issues with the small screen). Cons Nothing - it is adaptable and usable from anywhere I am located, and I can use a variety of program features no matter what device I am on. Pros I enjoy using Microsoft 365 because it allows me to use it on multiple devices with one login, it frees me from being limited to one tool and allows me to work from anywhere. Pros Installation and use are easy and familiar. In addition, everyone uses Word and Excel nowadays. Microsoft Outlook handles multiple email accounts simultaneously. Cons Outlook has problems frequently, does not indicate you have email messages in other accounts set-up if you are working on the primary account. Opening Word files with extensively edited content with "track changes" makes Word very slow or crashes. At the same time, we are using a competitor. I would say that I switch between Office 365 and that competitor. Pros Office 365 is great because it has the following: - You get the complete set of things you need in the office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Skype. - It comes with 1TB of storage on One Drive, which is a huge amount. - The Microsoft applicants are fairly easy to utilize, which makes this great for all in our office. Cons What I like the least about this: - Microsoft could improve its price points. There are a ton of competitors which are offering great products at much lower prices. - Not all programs are essential on this package. It could be more customizable. For example, I do not really need Skype. This software service makes that so much easier. I also love that I have the freedom to design documents and presentations using my preferred fonts and styles, which is not always the case with competing software programs. I like that I am not tied to a particular set of fonts. In short, I would find it difficult to collaborate and create my specific projects without Microsoft 365! Pros The best feature of this software is that, once signed-on, I can use it on any computer. I don't have to worry about where I have stored my important files, because they are always there--no matter where I created them. I also really like that I can share files with others, making collaboration easy. This feature is a lifesaver when I am not able to meet in-person with colleagues! Another great feature is the automatic updates. With this feature, I always know I have the most up-to-date version! Cons I have had a bit of difficulty, at times knowing when my graphics are fully loaded into their folders. I need to inspect them to make sure all of my content is there. We used the email function on our pcs and our phones. We use the sharing programs to easier work on documents together. Pros I like the ability to download the software to 5 pc/devices under 1 license. I like being able to access it on the go. I can use the app or login in to the microsoft portal. Cons When I wanted to add a new account the user interface was a bit confusing to add an addition product to my account. I was not sure which was the best for my firm. I also dont like on it the programs in the Business suite called Forms. It is easy to use the QR code function does not work. Je suis chercheuse et enseignante à l'université, donc je ne peux pas dire à quel point j'utilise quotidiennement les outils Microsoft en particulier WORD et POWERPOINT et je suis très satisfaite depuis des années. Ces outils me permettent de réaliser mes projets je recommande cet outils à 100% Cons le seul soucis que je rencontre souvent avec Microsoft Word, c'est quand il y a une nouvelle version par exemple 2013 et vous faites un projet sur cette version, et puis vous envoyer ce fichier à quelqu'un qui utilise une autre version par exemple 2007 ou 2003, le fichier va avoir des décalages dans l'organisation et même il peut pas l'ouvrir parce que les versions ne sont pas les mêmes. Easy to use on browser as well. It has all the tools and applications on browser as well. So it makes easy to use them without installing them on your system. 3. A very good dashboard. 4. Recently added "Insights" feature that helps you organize stuff. Cons Certainly there are no cons as of now. Microsoft office 365 is a must have powerful collaboration tool. This includes business flyers and administrative data. Pros The functionality is above exceptional for each of the features found in Office 365. The word processor shows improvements that make tasks easier within each update found in the software. Excel makes it easier to input functions and word styles within the spreadsheet. Some inputs allow you to auto format the results without much effort, which is a major advantage under the software. PowerPoint comes with improved theme support for 365, along with updates to the overall control of the PowerPoint. Microsoft outlook is fully compatible with 365, allowing you to view any Microsoft email easily within the application. There are other minor advantages (or Pro's) including a smoother interface and the ability to save files as a .doc or any related file if you wish, along with new formatting types. Cons The cost to purchase this software after one week, 1 year, or 4 years depending on your plan and intent, is very expensive. It can cost $100 a year to purchase Microsoft Office 365 for a one year period. However, it is a very valuable business tool and the pro's and con's must be considered carefully.
