### "The Best Combo of Office Tools "

November 17, 2018

5.0

My overall experience with office 365 is good. You can access your office tools remotely.

Pros

Office 365 is the main ingredient for office work. I daily use multiple tools from office 365 such as word, excel, powerpoint and others. Office 365 provides a better security for your business data. The best thing about office 365 is you get 50GB of storage with exchange online for email, calendar, tasks, notes, contacts, and attachments. In outlook, you can reply in-line to an email without opening it. With Office 365 Planner you can organize your team’s workflow.

Cons

You always need an internet connection for office 365 to work. Office 365 subscription cost is comparatively high. Once the subscription stops the office suite becomes read-only. Much improvement needed in team collaboration segment. beside above minuses office 365 is a modern way to use your office applications.

### "The best option for document generation tools"

August 31, 2021

5.0

Pros

As a professional business worker and personal opinion, Microsoft 365 is among the most valuable document generation software. This software can be used for various things, including documents, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations. In today's world, these are all essential tools for getting things done, and Microsoft is amongst the best at it.

Cons

To be honest, there aren't many drawbacks. You should keep in mind whether or not it will save automatically. That could be a bad habit I picked up. Aside from that, I can't think of anything else that would be considered unfavorable.

### "Essential Product"

August 30, 2022

5.0

As with other programs we are using, a lot less paper in the office. Ability to keep files on a computer and/or in the Cloud.

Pros

The ability to create a variety of files from either templates or customize them ourselves. Ability to share with other staff, they do not have to be in the same office.

Cons

I had to get a new computer and signing back in to the software was a little tedious.

### "Microsoft 365"

September 27, 2021

4.0

We have Microsoft 365 on our campus systems and I like for the the accessibility that it provides by hosting a variety of softwares at a single platform. Also it is easy to navigate and use it.

Pros

Microsoft 365 is a platform that offers a combination of Microsoft softwares at one place. You can use is to access any of the former MS Office applications like word, powerpoin, MS excel etc along with your emails and accessing Teams. As it is primarily cloud based platform you can use it to access your files and work on it from anywhere if you have an internet connection. It is compatible with all prominent OSs and gives you extensive accessibility. The best thing about Microsoft 365 is its constant updates which keeps it getting better and evolved and provides protection to users data from new cyber threats.

Cons

Microsoft 365 does not any any plan for users to pay for life time, rather you have to buy monthly subscriptions which is costly for many, especially those who only want to use it for specific functions rather that its full use.

### "Great package for of tools"

October 16, 2020

With Office 365, I use outlook to send and receive emails, SharePoint to communicate, share knowledge , store and share documents. I use OneDrive to backup all the documents on computer in the cloud automatically. I use Team plan meeting via call or video, share screen...definitely it is a very great tools that can help everyone work from home or in office....Highly recommended!

Pros

This suite of software is great communication, collaboration and document management tools and I like almost all the application : Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Team ...

Cons

I would like to be able to monitor the status of the users data backup on OneDrive in an office environment, but this option is not available ...

### "Too bulky, too many features, too complicated. Not what it was in the past."

May 26, 2021

3.0

I used it for all office work, mainly document writing and spreadsheets. I used MS Office for years in the past, then changed to OpenOffice, then moved back to MS 365 due to some spreadsheet row limitations in the other software. But after a while, I just got tired of the bulkiness and moved on to other software (LibreOffice and SoftMaker Office).

Pros

IF you are a power user who needs a lot of features and functionalities, Office 365 is probably still the best choice. And extra OneDrive space is included, so why not. But I can't find many other things that the competitors can't offer.

Cons

I used to like MS Office, it was fast and relatively light. The last time I used Office 365, it was sluggish, heavy, cluttered with useless (to me) features and functionalities and complicated to buy and install (all the cloud hassle). And in the long run, those monthly fees pile up into a hefty amount of money.

Reason for choosing Microsoft 365

It was able to handle a huge number of spreadsheet rows, even though it was not the fastest software. Later, other software have conquered those previous limits.

Switched from

[Apache OpenOffice](https://www.capterra.com/p/160717/Apache-OpenOffice/)

At that time, there was a limit to the number of spreadsheet rows. I needed to handle huge files, and MS 365 was the only software capable of doing it at that time.

### "Over Priced and Disfunctional Support and No Account Management"

March 12, 2020

2.0

They took three poorly designed products (listed below) and have to suck them into their cloud in an attempt to stabilize the product line and AI the data I add in the service. OneDrive - No encryption support. Exchange - Historically unstable and many other issues Office - Has not had major improvements to the user interface in ten years, and slow to fix old problems. Oh, support...wait hours for a call back. Lets not for get about Teams SSL certificate renewal failure that shut down millions of users for hours.

Pros

It is the traditional Microsoft office product, and it has not really changed since 2010. It seems easy to use, but it is just because they have not made major overhaul of the user interface...for consistency? It seems like everything is a awesome and easy to use, but that is because nothing has changed or relocated in the user interface.

Cons

It is the traditional Microsoft office product (same as 2019) with a recurring free that I am now paying about 2.5 times more that I was if I purchased it outright. Always updates adding and removing features. It is hard to use Non-Microsoft, google, or yahoo solutions...they are forcing the use of all of the online 365 services and are slowly removing support for established industry standards, such as RFC.

Reason for choosing Microsoft 365

I moved away from Office 365 to use Libre Office, Slack, and MailBird.

### "An Asset to My Team During COVID-19"

October 19, 2020

5.0

Microsoft 365 allowed my team to quickly adjust to working from home without much interruption to our regular workflows. It has been an asset to my company and my team during this period of working from home -- overall, I highly recommend it for organizations that want versatile access across multiple platforms (computer, mobile) to document sharing, emails, schedulers and meeting links.

Pros

The ability to efficiently set up document sharing, teams meetings, shared calendars and more was critical for keeping our projects and timelines on-pace. The platform is easy to set up, easy to use, and allows us to coordinate everything from one place much more effectively than going back-and-forth over a remote server.

Cons

Occasionally there are glitches when searching for archived emails, and sometimes the search will return emails from years back rather than prioritizing the newest threads. Ability to recall emails is only available through the desktop app (unless I'm missing something), which can be very frustrating.

### "Work At Home Can Be Just As Productive"

February 12, 2019

5.0

Office 365 has made my life as a student extremely productive with no strain or no worries and I find it to be the best investment during my academics. Nontraditional schooling (online) and working at home has been an experience but OFFICE 365 became my best friend especially with collaboration from other software to minimize spending excessive time in other apps or websites such as One drive, skype, yammer, Grammarly etc.

Pros

I appreciate the fact that while I was a student in school I was able to use the software and receive a free download. It quickly became helpful on my work at home endeavors too such as the collaboration with Onedrive because of the automatic saving and cloud access to my documents also being able to go back to save revisions saved me from having to start over!

Cons

When the software got updated sometimes it becomes hard to find where certain things such as the ruler are hidden. Should be an area to tour it more than once.

### "The necessary Business Software that you need."

January 5, 2023

5.0

We have had great experience using Microsoft 365. The benefit of the software is that not only can we get our own business files completed, but if our customers send us files in Word or Excel we can open them right away to view them. No additional downloads are needed.

Pros

The most impactful use of this software is that it contained the full Microsoft Office bundle in 365. We even go to the capacity of using Google Drive documents and can still open them with Word or Excel easily.

Cons

The process that could be improved upon is the setup function. We had issues getting multiple users to get the download file to work on each employees work station. After about a day of emails it got figured out and everyone is up and running.

Reason for choosing Microsoft 365

We decided to use Microsoft 365 because we have use the Microsoft Office package software before and continued to use this brand. The Microsoft 365 continues to update automatically for additional font, features, and templates.

### "Nothing else comes close"

February 3, 2019

5.0

Obtaining licenses is a breeze, and once you have one, getting the software downloaded and installed on your machine (up to 5 per license depending on your particular license!!!) is a very easy process. Even non-technical users are able to get it up and running as needed.

Pros

Office 365 is an excellent choice for any business as it has the full suite of applications that you need to succeed with the fundamentals. From email, to word processing, to spreadsheets, and finally presentations. It gives you tools for each business need that arises. My favorite aspect of the software is its ease of use. It is so easy to use, and so easy to download and install. You wont regret Office 365

Cons

Price. I am always a fan of software being cheaper so that it is more affordable as your business scales. Office 365 is excellent and the leader in their space, but I'd always put in a vote to get the software for cheaper.

### "Office for multiple devices EXCELENT"

March 8, 2019

4.0

It is an excellent version of office which is adapted for a specific market. Loa they work on multiple platforms (phone, tablet, pc or mac) because you can start on 5 devices at once and can start your work on one device and finish it on another. And the best that is updated automatically to the latest version and improves that you have office always and for the subscription have 1 TB of storage on the network with onedrive and thus not lose any important file ever.

Pros

It is an interesting option for a specific market. The main feature is that for a small monthly fee you have the latest version of office and updated features. With the possibility of using up to 5 devices at the same time. So you can start your work on the PC and finish it on your tablet or smartphone.

Cons

Knowing office users I can say that this option is not so attractive for all because many customers prefer to pay only once and have an office forever. Regardless of the latest update

### "365, The industry "Standard""

October 4, 2022

5.0

Still the go to product after all these years of support, migration, hybrid setup, full cloud setup and beyond !

Pros

Its a heck of a lot easier to manage the email and associated services in terms of email for a business than old historical on premise. The suite is also aligned with multiple products and services and even now im discovering new things !

Cons

Oh the horrible new licensing model ! In businesses whereby the ability to add and remove licences live and reduce costs has been eradicated.

Reason for choosing Microsoft 365

The go to product, the migration paths and the abilty to integrate with all MS apps

### "Great software packaged in one"

February 20, 2020

5.0

Office 365 is needed by everyone who has a computer and wants to keep up with technology and documentation software.

Pros

This is an overall great software deal right here. For all your office needs this is the software you need! I use all of the office software because it is most common to find and one of the easiest programs to operate. For instance, you have a document to type up, you have a spreadsheet to complete invoices, data, research, you want to produce a flyer, label, anything you can think of to make for yourself office can help you. It is constantly updating itself making sure that it is above the competitors and up to date with your computers technology. Its overall great for business and private work.

Cons

There isn't much i dislike about office except when it freezes and you have to end the task and this happens in Excel and word more than the other programs.

### "Okay, but we found better"

March 9, 2019

3.0

Pros

The last time I used a desktop Microsoft product was around 2013 or so and that was the norm in my world. It worked fine during that time when everyone else was also using Microsoft desktop programs. It was easy to share files by emailing files to each other. Everything you needed was in one package.

Cons

The reason why we moved away from it was we started to learn and understand more about cloud based products. Then eventually we were only able to get microsoft office programs online and we actually had difficulty with their login system. Sometimes we would be working on something and then the program would detect that we hadn't logged in for some reason and it would kick us out and sometimes it would say we do not have any licenses left even though no one was using them. When we finally did the switch approximately 5 years ago to Google Suites of products, our lives were changed. We couldn't figure out why Microsoft didn't also think of this sooner. We then realize how old thinking it was.

### "The New, Modular Office"

April 30, 2020

4.0

Change can be a positive thing, and as with other large software conglomerates like Adobe, Microsoft has embraced the trend of transition to a subscription-based model. Some will no doubt prefer the standalone Office Suites for personal use, which haven't yet been totally phased out; but overall, for a business with enough employees and content to be passed around, 365 delivers collaborative infrastructure in a way that no previous suite had accomplished.

Pros

With the Enterprise package, there's little one cannot do - provided one has the time and support to learn the nuances of the programs, of which there are plenty spread out between Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Hub, PowerPoint, and more. Once you've got the hang of it, however, you will find an integrated web of software that's fairly practical if you're sharing a lot of documents of different types within an organization. The cloud storage is a particularly useful option, and allows users to bypass using other personal programs like Google Drive for file sharing. Teams is a worthy competitor to Zoom - over 500,000 organizations have come on board with Teams since it was first introduced, and the time of Covid-19 has seen an even sharper uptick in its use.

Cons

As opposed to the old Office Suite models, which were a one-time purchase and had a solid base that wouldn't go shifting underfoot, the new 365 model is subscription-based and thus more expensive over time. It is also modular -somewhat like a Microsoft OS, it gets updates and therefore is given to changes, making it up to the user to adapt.

### "could be much better but it's still likely the best for office work"

September 23, 2021

Good to use Office except when Word inserts its own formatting without a request.

Pros

Word and Power Point and Excel work well most of the time except for hidden formatting in Word.

Cons

Calendar does not interoperate well with google calendar. It's hard to share calendar. Interface for email sucks because it shows some items outside of chronological order. Cannot see all attachments on an email. Would NOT recommend for email.

### "Best and great product with some little weak points"

December 6, 2018

4.0

Pros

I am using Exel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio, Project, etc. more than 8 years. Mention applications are used by me frequently for my educational purposes. When considering about overall office package there have amazing features, user-friendly interfaces. The Exel application very useful one because when considering the record of a document that can do a lot of operation that is coming up with an application. Therefore as users, we don't bother how to calculate or how to get our final result because this application gives us a 95% feature want us. And also when we login to our account we can save to cloud and after anywhere we can use the document to edit because the Office has online web application, that was very helpful for my day to day life works.

Cons

This has good user friendly interfaces but the liitle thing is there are lot of tools and have to spent some to find them. And also if user didn't know about the name of feature they can't be find to use it.If tools names are close to day to day using words that will be very helpfull.Little thing is we have to purchase to get best experience ,as a Asian country people who haven't lot of money have to go to open source applications.

### "Lifes Orbit around Microsoft 365"

January 25, 2023

5.0

Pros

i like that microsoft 365 bundles all the necessary tools and its user friendly interface. Growing up using microsoft office in school and throughout the years that followed this is almost too nostalgic not to have for me. i use all the apps office provides and it has only gotten better with time. I love the mail, contacts and calendar integration in the recent years.

Cons

I'm not sure what to even put here seeing as i don't really dislike anything about this app.

### "Robust & capable, but depending on your needs, there may be cheaper alternatives"

January 5, 2021

5.0

Overall, my experience with microsoft 365 is super positive. Its top-level software thats been at the top of the field for quite some time. Where i think it lacks is primarily is "playing well with others" and that it has a substantial price tag

Pros

The full integration between their many systems is impressive and helpful. This is a AAA level software suite with almost any feature you'd hope for.

Cons

You'll want to commit to an "all or nothing" system with microsoft. Working with some microsoft systems but some google/apple for example doesn't offer many of the integrations you can expect from using all of office together. So it's a bit expensive, but its a solid product.

### "Intuitive and Simple to use"

May 7, 2020

5.0

Overall, the experience has been satisfactory and would recommend everyone to go for this instead of anything else as it serves all the purpose for an individual or business.

Pros

The product from Microsoft is very easy to set up as it hardly takes 15 minutes to complete the whole process. Secondly, I have been using Office 365 for quite sometime and have been just used to it. The products under Office 365 are very intuitive and value packed. Overall, the product experience is really fantastic.

Cons

Initially, the pricing of the Office 365 suite was a little high for businesses but now they have reduced and packed more value providing features into the suite.

Alternatives considered

[Google Sheets](https://www.capterra.com/p/169718/Google-Sheets/)

Reason for choosing Microsoft 365

Google Sheets are online and everytime I have to make an update I have to go online to make the changes. The benefit with Office 365 is that it gets installed on the system and then you can use it as and when you want. Also, almost everyone uses Office 365 or any other related product from Office suite of applications, so there is no issue in compatibility as well.

### "Easy to use and fully loaded"

July 27, 2019

5.0

I find the convienience and easy assesibility to be helpful when using the software at a meeting or when giving a presentation. The files are all available on the cloud and the software is available no matter where you are and what device or computer you are using.

Pros

What I like most about Office 365 is the functionality and ease of use. Being able to log on anywhere and on any computer or mobile device makes it easy to access the software no matter where you are. I was able to download my Presentation offsite and not have to worry about bringing an SD card or flash drive. The files are always accessible and download quickly.

Cons

The only cons for this software occur if you are using a slow connection or do not have an internet connection or wifi available. In that case, you can not access the program. I do not see any other negative aspects with this software.
