I couldn’t imagine work, or even my personal life, without it. This subscription is 100% worth it. Pros Microsoft 365 is the essential set of work tools. From Outlook to Word to Excel, these are programs I use daily. And then I store everything I create and edit in OneDrive. I love how useful everything is. Cons No cons to report. Microsoft 365 works best within its own ecosystem but each individual program can be used on its own, elsewhere (iOS for example). If I had to choose something, I believe the default settings on over reliant on the cloud. But even that is easily fixed! Review Source DM Douglas M. In our office we have 2 main computers that we use and its so nice to be able to not have to manually share the file but rather it just be connected via the one drive. Microsoft is so easy to use. We used to use the google drive for most of our needs but since switching to Microsoft we haven't regretted it. We pay for the monthly subscription and it just makes it so much easier on us and I love that that is an option! Cons One con that I have noticed is that for some reason ours tends to sign us out a lot but that also could just be a setting on our end not 100% sure. Most of our users feel very comfortable using this software. Cons Updates are sometimes painful. September 6, 2025 5.0 Wonderful really - Microsoft sometimes gets a bad rap from people because of one problem here or there but generally speaking their products are good. Especially Microsoft 365. Pros I like the completeness of the package. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook all working seamlessly together. For those more advanced throw in a little Access. Most of the business world uses Office every day so it almost required knowledge. But what I like best is Outlook - it is an amazing product to help manage email, calendar, tasks, notes and probably more than I know what do to with. Cons Least - There was a small quirk a few months ago in Excel where I was helping my daughter with some homework for her MBA. We had to sort data based on specific parameters which worked on screen but showed us the wrong sums of the data. It also comes with AI Copilot, which helps me to write documents, analyze data, and create charts that streamline many day-to-day tasks. Cons The downside is that if you only use a fraction of the features or tools, it becomes unnecessarily expensive, and you might be better off purchasing each product separately. It would be good if there were simple steps to install the offline mode, sometimes can be tricky Pros I think as a company it depends in terms of the cloud storage as it is vital for users especially working in a research institution. I also like how consistent it has been. Also, using the apps like word/excel as it is practically used worldwide. I really like the compatability mode. Can use plug in tools, citians which is essential for our students. Cons The main issue is the cloud services. Cons Annual subscription plans can be costly. While it is feature packed with a lot apps comes with the subscription, it may not be cost effective if not all apps are utilized. I was able to completely digitise a paper form utilizing functionality across a number of Apps in 365. From planning the form in Excel, through to adapting that into a SharePoint / MS List. Seamlessly creating a customer facing form from that list using Power Apps and even enhancing functionality but leveraging the benefits of Power Automate. Switching between the different apps within the 365 suite felt easy to do. There is comprehensive and detailed support guides for each issue I encountered too. The only downside was the need for an additional licence to yield the full benefits of Power Apps. Pros All of the functionality across multiple apps is now well integrated. The ability to create impactful, value adding outputs in similar and familiar environments. For example, transitioning from MS Lists into Power Apps Cons Prohibitive licencing requirements can sometimes cause delays. For example, requiring a licence to publish work created in Power Apps. Also variations between desktop, web and Mac can sometimes be a a pain in terms of how to find where the features are if you are used to have it in one Operational System most of the time. November 9, 2025 5.0 Overall, I prefer 365 over the standard Microsoft applications as it provides a little more functionality, and is far easier to use with the ribbons providing a lot more shortcuts to these. I was using a very large spreadsheet which needed to be updated daily, and shared this with a colleague who was not a 365 user. The dates within the spreadsheet would always revert to USA format so was rather annoying. Pros Additional functionality over and above the standard Microsoft applications. File sharing is much easier to manage and filing documents and folders for sharing is so much easier. Cons Sharing documents/spreadsheets with colleagues who do not have 365 changes some of the formatting. (UK dates revert to American dates) Having to pay extra to have 365. Tbis software has changed my life my familys life as well. Since i have been introduced to it, my letters have been well written formatted and have a professional outlook. This is software is 100% recommendedable and is revolutionary to schools. I cannot wait to see what new updates will be presented on the software by the developers. Pros What I really admire about Microsoft 365 is the GUI friendliness. This software is so fundamentally easy to use that is revolutionizes the standard pen and paper or even typeriters that were so astonishingly depended on in the olden days of writen expression. Microsoft 365 has made such an impact on my day to day activities that i cannot see myself in a world where Microsoft 365 does not exist. The second thing i like about Microsoft 365 is that it gives you the oppurtunity to chose alot of differnt templates and designs for your projects it does not leave you puzzled about what to use in your projects or how to use it. It gives suggestions and even instructions about how to inject different built in functions into your projects. I would highly recommend this software to anyone who has not uet heard about it or who has been i trouduced to it but has not yet tried it. This software will blow your mind and expand your mind. Cons What i least like about Microsoft 365 is the android version being an andorid user I have ran into this issue with the app where whenever i do a project and I save it and share it to my computer it appears jumbled, it shows everything is okay on the phone but when you share it all the words and the settings that you applied to thr project are removed and the sentences are sometimes not punctuated and the pargraphs are not inline and the you have to either reallign the paragraphs so they seem presentable. A much clearer illustration of this is when you send it to the computer pargraph one is joined with paragraph 2 and the charts and pictures that were saved in the documents are either on one page by itself or they are on the same page with the paragraph but both charts or pictures are there and it does not show which paragraph depicts which picture. They give us confidence when handling employee files and onboarding documents. Cons Some of the apps can feel a bit overwhelming for new team members, especially if they’re not used to Microsoft products. Updates roll out often, and sometimes they change the layout right when everyone gets comfortable. It can also take a little time to set up shared folders and permissions correctly. It is tough to pinpoint specific tasks to do. Pros There is a lot of features that are provided on this platform. They really try to push Copilot into every aspect of each product that Microsoft does. If you love utilizing these features, then it'll be good. Cons There is no explanation of how to utilize all the features provided and it feels so overwhelming at the same time. It's a flood of information. There are also tons of pop-ups.
