### "Simple yet very powerful task organizer"

March 19, 2025

5.0

Amazing, simple to use, very usefuel for simple every day productivity.

Pros

I love the "My Day" feature. The simplicity of the user interface. very straightforward direct and simple software, which is great.

Cons

While the simple things work great, it would be awesome to have more features. Also, there is something about the my day feature where it would be great if it was easier to rollover unfinished tasks from my previous day.

I used to use evernotes for keeping a simple track of tasks but I find To do a lot more helpful.

### "Simple and Reliable Task Management for Everyday Use"

June 12, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Microsoft To Do has been very positive. The platform is easy to learn, and the simple layout improves EASE OF USE for both personal and work-related task management. It works well for PROJECT MANAGEMENT by helping organize deadlines, reminders, and daily priorities in one place. TEAM COLLABORATION is helpful when sharing task lists with others, especially for small projects or group planning. CUSTOMER SUPPORT resources and Microsoft help pages are useful when troubleshooting problems. I have experienced only minor BUGS AND ISSUES occasionally, like syncing delays, but overall the app runs smoothly and reliably.

Pros

What I liked most about Microsoft To Do is how simple and organized it makes daily planning. The layout is clean and easy to use, so it doesn’t feel overwhelming when managing multiple tasks. I also like the My Day feature because it helps prioritize what needs to get done each day. It is great value for money!

Cons

I can’t think of any cons when it comes to Microsoft To Do. It is good software with minor bugs and issues.

### "A Beginner Tool for Task Management with Noticeable Limits"

July 18, 2025

3.0

When I first started using MTD, I found it to be an intuitive tool for project management. I liked the ability to organize tasks into categories and to have access to these via my phone. However, once I graduated to larger project management across multiple software ecosystems, the limits of MTD became abundantly clear. If one needs it for small project management, I think it is a better piece of software than its immediate competitor (Google Tasks).

Pros

1) It has a low learning curve and is very easy to use right out of the gate. The navigation is intuitive. 2) If all you need is a basic task manager that works with the Microsoft ecosystem, it is perfectly suitable for that task. 3) Within the Microsoft ecosystem, it does a solid job provide reminders and notifications, connecting to your calendar, etc. The mobile app is also, in my experience, perfectly usable. 4) For most basic task management needs, To Do's features make it perfectly suitable. When I first used it for a single large project, its features let me differentiate types of work, steps, and due dates.

Cons

1) If you need it to interact with anything outside of the Microsoft ecosystem, I found that you needed to use a third party service as a router between Microsoft and the other ecosystem. For me, this would have required navigating two different ecosystems and manually moving things from one to the other. 2) It is not feature rich. The features it has work great for small project management or general to do lists, but beyond that, it lacks some of the common features of its competitors. I won't fault it too much for this because it is a free piece of software. 3) It isn't, in my opinion, well-designed for managing large projects or multiple projects. The features it has could technically do this work, but I found that this created more confusion and mental drain than a more feature rich alternative. This might not be an issue for someone who does not manage multiple projects which run regularly and all year. 4) Some integrations between To Do and other Microsoft software either isn't possible or requires a third party solution. This is unfortunate.

Overall, I love using Microsoft and will continue to use it to help keep me organized at work, especially since it is convenient and automatically pulls things from Outlook.

Pros

The thing I like most about Microsoft is that it allows a space on my computer for all of my Outlook calendar events to be laid out in a neater/easier way to see and understand.

Cons

Sometimes I experienced minor lagging/ glitching, which could get annoying. Although, these glitches never lasted very long and they seemed to fix the problem as soon as it was reported.

### "pretty good- already there in office. does the thing"

September 18, 2025

4.0

overall it is very helpful as a quick task management tool. some areas of O365 are not fully integrated or not super obvious on how to use. i am hoping it integrates better with loop in the future, as i like to keep notes in there.

Pros

it integrates with O365, making for an easier time getting my tasks from the places i do my work to the places i track my work. particularly flagged emails turning into tasks is a huge help

Cons

the program often seems to close itself, which isn't a huge deal but would be nice if it was a bit more stable. i also wish it was quicker to schedule tasks or keep things on the "my day" from day to day when i don't manage to finish tasks. i suppose that it's good practice to re-set my day each morning though

to be honest, all share the same folly- you need to actually do the work. we use office so to-do is more integrated than most others.

### "Microsoft To Do: The simple and effective list app"

July 9, 2026

5.0

Pros

Since our company utilizes the Microsoft ecosystem on a global scale, the interface is clean, fast, and completely free for office suite users.

Cons

The application proves a bit too simplistic for managing complex or cross-functional projects. It is impossible to create dependencies between tasks, view work in a monthly calendar layout, or integrate advanced time-tracking features.

### "I Keep My Life in Order with Microsoft TO DO"

May 29, 2026

5.0

The navigation is easy, the notification sounds are great, the ability to team collab is amazing and I had no ads, bugs nor issues of it collapsing either.

Pros

when I found out about Microsoft To Do, I was going through a phase of endless distractions between entrepreneurship and going to university. It was free for what I needed and easy to use. I had no worries about notifications, and I could set timers, reminders, color code projects. I also loved the done sound it gave me when I marked a project complete.

Cons

I think there should be brighter colors on there. The colors were a bit dull and wasn't enticing for the most part.

What I love most about Microsoft to do is it’s a free app, easy to use, easy to schedule and follow. This app has truly made my life easier. From creating deadlines to checking off daily tasks completed and keeping everything organized.

I was able to download app fast and get started right away. Has a nice simple layout which I like. No overwhelming information. I love it is isn't clustered with to many things. Right at the top is My Day label to click on and see the days task I have saved and planned ahead for. Nice picture background on my day too. I can make my task ahead of time so that makes it easier to do other things without having to mark a task everyday.

Pros

Easy to get started with the app as soon as I downloaded it. Quickly and easily add task I want to do. Can mark the ones that are important to do before other .

### "Effective Task System"

June 12, 2025

5.0

It is an effective way to keep on top of tasks, with reminders to keep you focused and organised. Perfect for work and personal.

Pros

I love that I can set tasks with separate due dates and reminders - they are set to each email and you can have daily planner checklists as well as syncing across multiple devices.

Cons

Can be simple, and feel a little bit clunky. I have used other apps similarly that have more functionality in terms of grouping and colour coding with reminder systems.

### "To Do or to Planner"

April 2, 2025

4.0

Over all the experience is good, it just depends on what your needs are. In my case I need to be able to see my tasks, and the tasks assigned to me, but I also need to check on other staff as the supervisor. This is where planner has the advantage over To DO. If you are just using this for yourself to stay organized it's a great program.

Pros

I love the integration with outlook. That is very helpful.

Cons

It's a limited program from my perspective. Im not sure what the benefit is other than ease of use if you can integrate planner into outlook at as well. I have been experimenting with both of them at the same time to attempt to identify an advantage. I think Planner gets the nod over To Do

### "Great to keep you on track and organized!"

March 13, 2025

I use it daily. It helps to keep me on track and reminds me of items that I have coming up as I set them up to do so. Which sometimes is hard when notifications don't come through as you expect them to.

Pros

Cons

Overall the experience is good if you want a simple check list marker of small tasks. It works great and it is fast to set up.

Pros

It is easy to use and it has a clear structure. The check mark list is a nice touch and makes your life easy to keep track of small tasks.

Cons

The thing I like the least is that you can only create simple checklists without having more options to divide tasks into subsections.
