### "Microsoft To Do Keeps Me in Order"

March 18, 2026

4.0

I use Microsoft To Do on a constant basis to keep track of my projects, tasks, and other general needs around the business. I can share the load, or take on other tasks as needed with zero issues. It's truly helped me be my best self when it comes to project management and time management.

Pros

Microsoft To Do has some great features, and really helps me keep track of my day. As someone who can be all over the place, this product helps me keep my task list organized so I can best prioritize what needs to be done. I can manage each project, one at a time, based on how I scheduled myself to do so in To Do. And even better, I can assign some of these tasks to other users, allowing us to collaborate better. It's part of our overall M365 package, so I would say it's worth the money.

Cons

I ran into a few issues earlier on, regarding collaboration, and when I reached out to customer support, they were helpful, if not a bit slow, in realizing that we had incompatible versions of the software installed. A quick update and we were good to go.

### "Microsoft review- Coordinator"

November 6, 2025

4.0

Overall, I love using Microsoft and will continue to use it to help keep me organized at work, especially since it is convenient and automatically pulls things from Outlook.

Pros

The thing I like most about Microsoft is that it allows a space on my computer for all of my Outlook calendar events to be laid out in a neater/easier way to see and understand.

Cons

Sometimes I experienced minor lagging/ glitching, which could get annoying. Although, these glitches never lasted very long and they seemed to fix the problem as soon as it was reported.

I made the switch because the Monday website became too expensive and didn't allow me to organize my tasks as I wanted to.

### "A Beginner Tool for Task Management with Noticeable Limits"

July 18, 2025

3.0

When I first started using MTD, I found it to be an intuitive tool for project management. I liked the ability to organize tasks into categories and to have access to these via my phone. However, once I graduated to larger project management across multiple software ecosystems, the limits of MTD became abundantly clear. If one needs it for small project management, I think it is a better piece of software than its immediate competitor (Google Tasks).

Pros

1) It has a low learning curve and is very easy to use right out of the gate. The navigation is intuitive. 2) If all you need is a basic task manager that works with the Microsoft ecosystem, it is perfectly suitable for that task. 3) Within the Microsoft ecosystem, it does a solid job provide reminders and notifications, connecting to your calendar, etc. The mobile app is also, in my experience, perfectly usable. 4) For most basic task management needs, To Do's features make it perfectly suitable. When I first used it for a single large project, its features let me differentiate types of work, steps, and due dates.

Cons

1) If you need it to interact with anything outside of the Microsoft ecosystem, I found that you needed to use a third party service as a router between Microsoft and the other ecosystem. For me, this would have required navigating two different ecosystems and manually moving things from one to the other. 2) It is not feature rich. The features it has work great for small project management or general to do lists, but beyond that, it lacks some of the common features of its competitors. I won't fault it too much for this because it is a free piece of software. 3) It isn't, in my opinion, well-designed for managing large projects or multiple projects. The features it has could technically do this work, but I found that this created more confusion and mental drain than a more feature rich alternative. This might not be an issue for someone who does not manage multiple projects which run regularly and all year. 4) Some integrations between To Do and other Microsoft software either isn't possible or requires a third party solution. This is unfortunate.

### "Microsoft to do - helping me stay organised!"

December 22, 2025

5.0

Great I’ve had no issues with it. Easy to use very clean look to it. Simple but effective way of organization. My team like it as they are operationally focused and have a lot of fact finding within their roles so they will flag an email add to the to do and then go back to it once the task is complete.

Pros

It is a free list tool to keep track of my daily lists. I like it due to its clean look and the fact you can link it to the flagged emails, as I work off multiple devices at once and have to move around offices multiple times a day coordinating with multiple teams to meet with different stakeholders it keeps me on track of my own work as I add to it.

Cons

Could have more deeper team sharing ability. To be able to link projects into this on greater detail would be good

### "pretty good- already there in office. does the thing"

September 18, 2025

4.0

overall it is very helpful as a quick task management tool. some areas of O365 are not fully integrated or not super obvious on how to use. i am hoping it integrates better with loop in the future, as i like to keep notes in there.

Pros

it integrates with O365, making for an easier time getting my tasks from the places i do my work to the places i track my work. particularly flagged emails turning into tasks is a huge help

Cons

the program often seems to close itself, which isn't a huge deal but would be nice if it was a bit more stable. i also wish it was quicker to schedule tasks or keep things on the "my day" from day to day when i don't manage to finish tasks. i suppose that it's good practice to re-set my day each morning though

to be honest, all share the same folly- you need to actually do the work. we use office so to-do is more integrated than most others.

### "Simple yet very powerful task organizer"

March 19, 2025

5.0

Amazing, simple to use, very usefuel for simple every day productivity.

Pros

I love the "My Day" feature. The simplicity of the user interface. very straightforward direct and simple software, which is great.

Cons

While the simple things work great, it would be awesome to have more features. Also, there is something about the my day feature where it would be great if it was easier to rollover unfinished tasks from my previous day.

### "This is a hard-working, long-term app for your lists!!!"

June 3, 2025

5.0

I love it!!! I have it on all of my devices and I love the way it synchronizes across all of those devices.

Pros

I most like the ability to create multiple groups, projects, and lists within projects that remain grouped together. For example, under my Pleasures Group, I can maintain a birthday party invite list from last year, and use that list going forward.

Cons

I tend to hold these groups, projects & tasks as long term lists, but it’s less useful as my day-to-day task list, for some reason….

### "Great multi device organiser"

February 19, 2025

4.0

I think it is a fantastic way of keeping myself organised on the go. If I am out and about, it means I can plan and update projects on the fly.

Pros

The ease of use, flexibility to use on multiple devices. Great that I can have it on my work phone, tablet, laptop and PC, all synced together with notifications on every device when needed.

Cons

the amount of tasks in my to do list, that isn't Microsoft's fault though!

### "You Have To Try This App For To Dos"

February 27, 2026

5.0

My overall experience of Microsoft To Do has been great is it helped me manage my lifestyle my business with to do tasks and deadline due dates it helps me keep everything organized and helps me. Keep myself on top of everything.

Pros

What I love most about Microsoft to do is it’s a free app, easy to use, easy to schedule and follow. This app has truly made my life easier. From creating deadlines to checking off daily tasks completed and keeping everything organized.

Cons

What I like least about Microsoft to do is that once you have a lot of to do items and tasks the app does start lagging and moving slower

I use Microsoft-To-Do every day, both personally and professionally, within the Outlook desktop app & the iPhone app.

Pros

I find Microsoft-To-Do extremely easy to use & find the task scheduling/repeat function the most useful

Cons

The thing I like the least about Microsoft-To-Do is the limitation in the app with regards to scheduling

### "Simple and Easy"

July 18, 2025

5.0

I was able to download app fast and get started right away. Has a nice simple layout which I like. No overwhelming information. I love it is isn't clustered with to many things. Right at the top is My Day label to click on and see the days task I have saved and planned ahead for. Nice picture background on my day too. I can make my task ahead of time so that makes it easier to do other things without having to mark a task everyday.

Pros

Easy to get started with the app as soon as I downloaded it. Quickly and easily add task I want to do. Can mark the ones that are important to do before other .

Cons

So far I haven't found anything that I don't like or that I would change. Nothing wrong with the app.

### "A good and simple task manager but not for power use"

January 20, 2026

4.0

An easy to use, close to hand and simply designed To Do list with a more limited task and project management capacity. Great for getting started as a basic to-do list, but not quite suitable for power users.

Pros

One of the most accessible and in-built to-do list tools available as stock with the Microsoft Suite. You will find it built in to Outlook across desktop and iOS Apps. This makes it feel close to hand and enables easy task management and collaboration across teams.

Cons

Whilst it is built in and close to hand, the thing I like least is how quickly the number of tasks quickly gets out of hand, or where, task management becomes more difficult. I would like it more if you could more easily group tasks into categories and visualise them across timelines.

### "Microsoft To Do: A Simple and Powerful Productivity Companion"

April 29, 2025

5.0

Microsoft To Do is simple, intuitive, and super effective for organizing tasks. It syncs seamlessly across devices, making it easy to stay on track whether you're planning your day or managing long-term projects. A clean interface and helpful features like reminders and sub-tasks make it a go-to productivity tool without feeling overwhelming.

Pros

Microsoft To Do is a very user-friendly to-do list software. I love how you can create different sections and lists for organizational purposes

Cons

I wish I could have a widget on my desktop or iPhone that I can check off directly from there. I do not like having to open the app consistently.

### "The ultimate tool for keeping organized."

May 18, 2025

Everyday, I wake up and check my Microsoft "To Do" list. This instantly helps me wrap my head around my daily task at hand. And as I gain future tasks I add it right to the to-do list.

Pros

I like how Microsoft To Do helps me manage my "To Do" list and track my progress. It really helps you stay organized.

Cons

Everything about Microsoft "To Do" is amazing. I don't know how I would manage to get everything done on time without it.

It is a solid choice for people looking for a simple and effective task manager. It’s perfect for personal use, helping users organise daily tasks, set reminders, and manage different projects.

Pros

Very clean, simple and easy to use interface. Makes organisation in the workplace a lot easier on a daily basis.

Cons

Lacks a high degree of customisation. Can seem quite basic. Doesn't support real time collaboration.

### "Would probably die without this app"

March 3, 2025

5.0

Overall, I would die without this app as it keeps me personally, as well as my team, on track all day. I also love that the themes of each list can be customized!

Pros

I love that I am able to compile shared To Do Lists with my team and get notifications when items are completed!

Cons

I do wish that I was able to send a read-only version of list to people who do not have the app downloaded.

### "ToDo - Worthy Task Tracker"

February 10, 2025

4.0

Serves its purpose very well, the flagging of Junk mail is a very unwelcome characteristic of the app.

Pros

Simple & straightforward activity tracker, that is integrated into all Microsoft applications

Cons

Junk email get flagged to review; this translates to junk mail getting flagged as relevant on your dashboard. Duplicates are created, creating a monstrosity unimportant information...rt. at your fingertips. :)

### "Functional but with persistent bugs"

March 12, 2025

3.0

When Wunderlist was bought by Microsoft, things started going downhill and haven't ever fully recovered. What was a simple, fast, and powerful collaborative todo tracker became slower, clunkier, and less reliable.

Pros

Simple interface and ability to share lists and assign tasks is important

Cons

Mobile app reloading is unreliable - I often have to close and reopen the app 2-3 times before tasks are displaying correctly. Tasks that have been completed months prior will randomly reappear and show as incomplete, but only on mobile. Sharing with other users is equally glitchy.

### "My experience with Microsoft To Do"

December 26, 2024

4.0

Great and intuitive experience while using Microsoft To Do

Pros

Its most fascinating feature of Microsoft To Do is its cross-platform availability and user-friendly interface. Since I have an iOS mobile phone and a Windows laptop, it makes it easy to add and refer to my notes in my to-do list.

Cons

The thing that disheartens me, is that it is only available while I am online. That is, if in any case, I get disconnected to internet, it stops responding.

### "Microsoft To Do... Don't "

May 6, 2025

3.0

Meh. It can help create lists, but it's not much more efficient than writing it down on a post-it note.

Pros

It helps organize and keep track of tasks and lists. Especially useful for action items

Cons

It's functionality is limited. The UI is clunky. I never really felt like I got a full feel for the one and outs of the software.

### "a simple yet powerful task manager for those fully invested in Microsoft ecosystem."

December 27, 2024

4.0

Microsoft To Do is a very effective task manager which is highly recommended for its full compatibility with the Microsoft ecosystem.

Pros

Microsoft To Do allows you to type tasks from WhatsApp, which is great if you want to input information quickly. It is also backed by Microsoft and has excellent integration with their other productivity products like Teams, Outlook or Planner. Another key advantage is that Microsoft To Do is free for all Microsoft accounts, not only Microsoft 365 users.

Cons

Maybe the main con is that it is too lightweight for serious project tracking, but then again, Microsoft has Planner and Microsoft Project for more robust needs.
