### "Power Automate: Puts the Power into RPA"

December 20, 2025

4.0

The most complex of my processes, is pulling data from PostgreSQL using a PowerQuery in Excel. The data is refreshed, saved to a CSV and then uploaded via Filezilla to an FTP. It is a daily process triggered by Task Scheduler.

Pros

Power Automate brings the "power" to RPA! I have several daily processes that run reports, pull data and publish to FTP sites. At the heart of this process is Power Automate. I have used various other tools, and Power Automate stands above all of the rest when it comes to flexibility and the ability to customize processes.

Cons

In the beginning, Power Automate can be daunting because it is so powerful. Once I figured out how PA worked, I have been able to quickly generate, modify and deploy several complex processes. It does take time to learn, but once you have it, you are off and running.

Reason for choosing Microsoft Power Automate

The cost of Zapier was too high. But the real benefit to Power Automate was that I can customize the workflow and create very specific tasks, then use a tool like FileZilla to finish the upload. Cloud-based tools didn't have that kind of flexibility.

### "Quick Review on Power Automate"

June 9, 2025

4.0

Overall, Power Automate is a powerful tool for streamlining business processes, though it requires careful design for reliability.

Pros

Power Automate simplifies repetitive tasks with low-code automation, integrates well with Microsoft 365, and boosts productivity.

Cons

Debugging complex flows can be frustrating, with limited error detail and inconsistent behavior in large workflows.

### "Power Automate - The real Automation Powerhouse"

March 2, 2026

5.0

I have been using Power automate since last 4 years and have seen it handle the most complex automations without glitches. I have not used a more friendly automation tool that that.

Pros

Microsoft Power Automate is one of it's kind tool. I like how I can automate almost every business process through it and it does that efficiently and consistently.

Cons

The only this I do not like about Microsoft Power Automate is the Power Automate desktop version of it. The desktop version is not quite dependable, as it deals with UI automation.

### "It's good for the basics, but is still lacking key features and has lots of "quirks""

June 12, 2025

3.0

Power Automate allows users to get up and running quickly if they have other Microsoft Licenses already in house. THe workflow actions aren't always intuitive or straight forward, and it does take some getting used to. Power Automate as a whole lacks basic features other similar products provide. For instance, there's no "check if file exists in SharePoint" function. Instead, you have to put together roughly 3-5 workflow actions in Power Automate to see if a file exists on SharePoint whereas other products it's as simple as 1 step.

Pros

What's great about Power Automate is most businesses have it already with their licenses if they already have other Microsoft Cloud offerings. Therefore it can allow you and your business to get some real basic automation up and running quickly.

Cons

It's not fully mature yet and is missing a lot of key features other similar products/systems, such as Nintex, provide. For instance, if you have a few workflow actions you'd like to skip over (or not run) like sending an email every run, there's no way in Power Automate to disable that workflow action. You have to move it to the end of the workflow (however big it may be), and put a "terminate" action before it. With other products, you can "disable" that particular action and the workflow will skip right over it. Or if you change a variable name, in Power Automate you have to find it in every action and replace the old variable name with the new one.

### "Review of Power Automate from banking industry perspective "

July 24, 2025

4.0

Overall I find Microsoft Power Automate to be a good RPA tool with a lot of future potential. Currently its features are a bit undeveloped compared to UiPath, but I can see they are improving. I find them to be easier to use and potentially save time when it comes to automatons that require less than three web applications than UiPath. Their customer service is what really gives me confidence that overtime this tool will out perform competition as they develop it further.

Pros

Microsoft Power Automate is very easy to learn for an automation software, the user interface is simple and its has native compatibility with all Microsoft office applications. In addition the pre-built API connectors are very easy to use compared to competition products like UiPath. The customer support from Microsoft has been really great in my experience, they always have staff available to help debug issues and explain limitations and ways to overcome them. Another positive point about Power Automate is that it is a new and actively being improved based on user feedback. I have had representatives get back to me about issues I faced and how they raised a complaint so that it gets fixed during future patches. From an enterprise standpoint, Power Automate is also cheaper to make automation with than UiPath, while requiring the same type of infrastructure. Since Power Automate is part of Microsoft, its much easier to get security approvals within the bank and use the software. The representatives tend to be quite knowledgeable and already have a working relation with the security team.

Cons

Microsoft Power Automate currently has a few issues when developing RPA projects of high complexity. Some projects that require multiple web applications (More than 2) tend to run slower on power automate than in UiPath. This causes some issues in reaching SLA and planning how many virtual machines are required for a given process to complete enough cases within the given time. The time trigger in cloud automation is also an aspect that is a bit underdeveloped. Its not easy to set a time for production code based on business requirements while being able to change in in a config during testing. This leads to code changes having to be made. Microsoft support has already confirmed that they would look into this issue. Since Power Automate works on cloud and desktop flows, it often requires Vnet to be set-up for API usage which is extra infrastructure set-up and cost compared to desktop only RPA tools.

### "Excellent Automation tool Integrated Across Microsoft Ecosystem"

June 3, 2025

5.0

Power Automate is a very easy tool to pick up and use with a plethora of triggers, actions and connections ready to use out of the box.

Pros

I liked the ease of integration of Power Automate across the Microsoft, Azure and Office 365 ecosystem.

Cons

The limitation of only a month's worth of flow run history isn't ideal, however a SharePoint list can be used to persist and log data to work around this.

### "Power Automate is a great tool to automate your everyday work "

June 3, 2025

5.0

Pros

You can create flows for everyday work items. It helps automate items in your everyday work, whether that be notifying someone a document has been submitted or ready for another person to edit or for approval on something.

Cons

It can take a while to learn how to use Microsoft Power Automate. There are a lot of connectors and actions which can be hard to work out which one to use in certain scenarios.

### "Power Automate for the Win"

December 6, 2024

4.0

It's been a very positive experience. It has allowed me to speed up my work processes, and the work processes of my entire organization, immensely. Also, there are plenty of people who create independent video tutorials to help you accomplish the things you want to do.

Pros

The breadth of its automation capabilities is quite impressive. You can automate all kinds of tasks and connect it to so many different platforms, like Sharepoint, form builders, excel, email applications, CRMs and so on.

Cons

There is quite a steep learning curve when you get started with Power Automate. It takes quite a bit of research to figure out how to get it to do the things you want it to do.

### "Power Automate works wonders"

February 25, 2026

4.0

For me, it's a "set and forget" type of tool. Once I have what I need set up and I know that it is working, I don't need to check back on things or make any changes unless I have to.

Pros

Power Automate is a fantastic tool that we leverage heavily for task automation. There are several processes that are easily automated to improve our workflow, task management and day to day operations.

Cons

If you aren't already familiar with Power Automate, it can initially be a bit overwhelming and it does have a bit of a learning curve. However, once you can get through that, it is a very powerful tool that can help you as well as your business with your daily tasks.

Pros

Automate the boring stuff or get creative and make great use of it. I was able to with the Premium version automate notifications built of Kusto Query Language results creating a programmatic way of achieving these results cutting out the human flaw. It's interface and helpful flow connectors make it easy to make an automation without any coding technical knowledge

Cons

Copilot assistance is very unhelpful and will often ruin your flow rather than aide or assist you.

Overall great experience and easy to use. Easy to integrate with other Office 365 products.

Pros

Power Automate is great cloud based tool for process automation . This tool provides many connector which helps developer to connect to different LOB. It also provides ability to use custom connector to perform complex business logic . Calling Power Automate from Other Office 365 products like PowerApps /SharePoint Online is seemless

Cons

Definitely there are some room to improve . Some time writing complex formulas on Power Automate editor is inconvenient .Approval process is also having some limitation like approval process cant run more thanks 28 days. For developer some time it is inconvenient to debug in case of error

### "Best cloud RPA platform"

December 24, 2024

4.0

The power automate cloud is very useful as you don't require any hardware resources to execute the flow the entire flow runs in the cloud and triggers can be set up using actions such as submitting a form, editing a list etc and all development can be done with no code

Pros

The flow designer is very Userfriendly and allows to add the automation actions, elements and objects by searching the item in the search panel and clicking it. It has a no code interface where all the attributes for the automation action are already provided, and you just need to fill in the values

Cons

Very hard to navigate within the flow if automation flow is very long with many actions

Pros

What I liked most about Microsoft Power Automate is its powerful capabilities and wide range of integrations. It connects easily with many different tools and platforms, making it possible to automate complex workflows and achieve great results once everything is set up correctly.

Cons

It could benefit from even more AI functionality. While it’s already smart, enhanced AI features could make the setup process easier and help users build more advanced automations with less manual effort.

### "Easy to use and love the templates"

December 17, 2024

4.0

Pros

IT is very easy to setup automations. I love that you can use templates. It makes it easy when you have very similar tasks that just need a little bit of changes between them.

Cons

I think the testing is a bit clunky. You send a test and then wait and then when it doesn't look right you have to correct it and repeat. I wish there was a simulated environment somewhere between the preview and spamming yourself with test emails.

### "Workflow Management with Power Automate Flows"

July 23, 2024

3.0

Pros

Seamless connection with other Microsoft platforms, such as SharePoint. It is very simple and easy to get the hang of, especially for beginners. It helps automate many redundant tasks and requires minimal maintenance once set up. Overall, very useful especially for a business using SharePoint, PowerBI, etc.

Cons

It can be buggy when editing a flow, or running a flow for a certain task. For instance, a common problem I have encountered is with certain dynamic blocks not allowing the flow to be saved due to missing variables that should not be required. This causes me to create my own temporary workaround by using an empty variable which can get quite tedious when debugging power automate flows.

### "Automate your workflows with ease with Microsoft Power Automate "

March 29, 2023

5.0

Pros

One of the most impressive features of Power Automate is its ease of use. With an intuitive, user-friendly interface, you can easily create custom workflows with just a few clicks. You can also use pre-designed templates to create workflows faster and easier.Power Automate is also very flexible and can be used to automate a wide variety of workflows, such as collecting data, sending notifications, creating tasks and more. In addition, it is compatible with many popular applications and services, such as SharePoint, Dynamics 365, OneDrive, Teams and many more.

Cons

First of all, the user interface of Power Automate may seem a bit complex for new users. While the tool is designed to be easy to use, there can be a learning curve for users who are not familiar with creating automated workflows. In addition, Power Automate is a cloud service, which means that all data processed by the tool is stored on external servers owned by Microsoft. This can raise security and data privacy concerns for companies that handle sensitive data. Users should therefore be aware of this and take the necessary steps to protect their data. Finally, Power Automate is a paid tool and can be costly for small businesses or individual users who do not need extensive use of the tool. Users should therefore consider the costs associated with using the tool before deciding to adopt it.

It was great, I loved making stuff in it. I also tried out the air feature and it worked super well too.

Pros

It is a great low code environment that perfectly integrates with all other Microsoft products. I think any large business already paying for Microsoft services should consider getting this too. It’s very easy for employees to learn and begin using in their daily work.

Cons

Sometimes for very niche issues there wasn’t a lot of support on how to fix it. But overall there were not really any cons in my mind as a user.

### "Automation is always the answer"

September 14, 2023

Pros

Power Automate integrated perfectly with a number of Microsoft Forms that we had set up. It allows us to quickly process data from those forms in an intelligent way, adding data to existing spreadsheets, sending confirmation emails, notifying a Teams channel. If you’re a MS office user then Power Automate is the natural addition to your suite of daily apps.

Cons

Power Automate has a lot of configuration options which is great - if you have time to work through them to get what you want. It can be time consuming to set up, but once it’s in place, it’s almost always worth that time!

### "Go for it, use it, love it!... then forget(Automate)"

January 27, 2021

5.0

Overall I am quite happy with the ease of use for this software. I would have loved to use power automate to send emails through my Gmail to avoid using mail mergers. This is a money saving option and since most businesses actually use Microsoft Office, bundling it with Power automate saves even more.

Pros

The biggest pro of this software is the cost, It will cost about $10 - $15. It is however better to bundle up the power automate license with the Microsoft O365 license to avoid purchasing 2 different licenses. Having MS 365 for business allows you to automate menial/repetitive tasks and takes away the "forgetting" part of the equation when it comes to everyday tasks. This software is very easy to use, can be set up by following a template or from scratch and I recently noticed that it has a new feature that sends you a message in chat in MS teams. It integrates very well with the other MS office apps. Power automate comes with the added advantage that it is customizable in the case where big automation tasks are to be done which simplifies the process. Couple that with the numerous templates provided and you have a very useful tool for automation.

Cons

The biggest disadvantage is that power automate can only be used within the MS office environment. Would have been great if it could have been usable in the windows environment too. While using this app I also realized that large tasks are hard to automate, tasks that require multiple recipients also fail when it exceeds around 60 users and so I limit mine to about 20 at a time even if it means creating multiple flows.

Reason for choosing Microsoft Power Automate

The ease of use, cost and the fact that our business was already transitioning to Microsoft office hence PA was a good option.
