Microsoft OneNote is that copying and pasting content from other documents or applications does not always work perfectly.

Pros

OneNote is easy to edit and update, allows quick copy-and-paste of information, and provides excellent organization through notebooks, sections, and pages

Cons

OneNote is easy to use for note-taking and organizing information, but it can sometimes have issues when copying and pasting content from other documents, especially when complex formatting is involved.

Pros

I LOVE using OneNote and it has only gotten better overtime. Their UI is fantastic and super easy to use! It helps me stay organized and working at my maximum level of productivity. It's super easy to keep all of my documentation stored and organized neatly within the tool. I use it everyday and love it!

Cons

There's nothing that I can identify that I truly dislike about OneNote. So far I've had a great experience! From time to time I will enter a new section on the same page and it will not auto-align with the previous section-- really small and picky UI preference.

I use OneNote constantly throughout the day. It's beneficial while I'm in meetings and also helps me with project planning.

Pros

Microsoft OneNote is the perfect note taking app. It allows me to take notes while in meetings and also helps me stay organized while being able to separate notes from each other and create several different workbooks for my notes. I also like the ability to share/upload notes via OneDrive.

Cons

There always seems to be an issue with syncing from my Windows laptop to my iPhone or iPad. The sync issue never seems to resolve itself and causes problems accessing newly created documents.

Overall a solid note-taking tool that I use regularly. However, I may gradually transition to Microsoft Loop as it evolves and offers a more modern, integrated experience.

Pros

Very easy to use with a clean layout. Great for quick note-taking, organizing thoughts, and syncing across devices. Perfect for capturing ideas on the go.

Cons

Noticeable UX inconsistency between the 2016 version and newer versions, which can be confusing. Some features feel fragmented or missing depending on the platform used.

I use OneNote when it comes to taking quick notes or to remind myself specific tasks I need to get done for the day. The platform is very easy to use so I don't have to take notes with a pen and paper.

Pros

I like that OneNote helps me stay organized and manage my notes I take on my meeting and call summaries. I like the notepad structure with sections and pages because it makes it easy to keep information organized and accessible.

Cons

I wish there was a way for OneNote to be more interactive like to be able to set reminders or to notify you of a task you write down.

I have used it for many years and created many books to capture everything from client overviews to writing ideas.

Pros

I love the way that OneNote allows you to structure all of your thoughts or the content on any given project or topic.

Cons

When I first started to use OneNote, it takes a little while to get used to the way a copy block can float on the page and move around. Once you get used to it, you realize how helpful this approach is.

Overall, OneNote is a good tool, especially for academic environments, but it feels more complex than what I currently need. As my use has shifted away from university-based work, simpler alternatives have become more practical for me.

Pros

Microsoft OneNote was very useful for taking class notes throughout my studies, especially when I had access to it through my university’s Microsoft pass. It worked well with other Microsoft apps and made it easy to keep everything organized in one place. It synced with OneDrive, which helped ensure my notes were accessible across devices and backed up. Its organization system is detailed and structured, which worked well for academic use.

Cons

The interface can feel overwhelming, similar to other Microsoft applications like Word, and therefore takes an excessive amount of time to get comfortable with its layout. The mobile version was underwhelming even compared to desktop, which made it less convenient for quickly capturing notes without my laptop. Since finishing school, I’ve also found myself gravitating more toward simpler, free note-taking apps that better fit my current needs. This has made OneNote feel unnecessary overall as a single consumer rather than one with access from an institution.

Overall experience with Microsoft OneNote has been very positive. It is a simple and practical tool for taking notes, organizing ideas, and keeping everything in one place. It fits well for both personal use and work related tasks, especially when there is a need to quickly capture information. It is easy to use on a daily basis and helps stay organized without much effort. Even though there are a few minor issues like syncing delays or limited formatting options, it still remains a reliable and useful app for managing notes and improving productivity.

Pros

What I like most about Microsoft OneNote is how easy it is to capture and organize information in one place. It works like a flexible notebook where notes, images, links, and even sketches can all be added without worrying about structure too much, which makes it very practical for daily use. Ease of use is one of its strongest points. Creating and organizing sections and pages feels natural, and it does not take long to get comfortable with the layout. For team collaboration, it is useful because multiple people can work on the same notebook and see updates in real time. This makes it helpful for sharing meeting notes or project ideas without sending files back and forth. In terms of document management, it keeps everything well organized within notebooks and sections, so information is easy to find when needed. It also adds to productivity since it is simple to quickly jot down ideas and keep track of tasks without switching between different tools. Value for money is good, especially since it is included with Microsoft 365 for many users, which makes it accessible without extra cost. Customer support is available through Microsoft resources and help guides, which are usually enough for resolving common issues.

Cons

What I like least about Microsoft OneNote is that syncing can sometimes be slow or inconsistent, especially when working across multiple devices. It can take a while for updates to show up everywhere, which can be a bit frustrating. Another issue is that the organization system, while flexible, can become messy if not managed carefully. When there are many notebooks and sections, it can get harder to keep things structured and easy to find. There are also some limitations when it comes to formatting compared to more advanced word processing tools. It works well for notes, but not so much for more detailed document work. Overall, it is very useful, but these small issues can affect the experience at times.
