March 2, 2025 5.0 Google maps has made travel and commute extremely easy. I used it to get around a foreign city for a work trip, and it had me using public transit exactly as I should have. It’s an essential tool for everyday life and adventures. Pros I appreciate how available Google Maps is with on-point navigation and real-time traffic updates. For example, on a recent road trip, I relied on it to find the fastest routes to my destination, steer clear of traffic jams and locate nearby restaurants and gas stations along the way. The offline maps is also super handy for travelers abroad. Cons The app may drain battery life quickly, and the business hours or reviews are not always accurate. Pros What I like most about Google Maps is the navigation to get where I need to get to and be, while it takes into account traffic and alternate routes for faster commute. Pros I like the navigation feature most, as it makes driving journeys much easier especially with real-time updates. I like that it offers a couple of routes as a suggestion, and adding stops to create your own journey is great! Cons The reviews can be misleading, and the times it suggests are often not accurate. I like how it gives a number of routes and not just the fastest routes. We use it regularly when traveling to and from events and client meetings. Cons When traveling we have found that Google Maps has used a significant amount of data when using it via our company work phones.
