Mainly use GPS tool for navigating routes, which is very helpful given the customizability tool like avoiding ferries or tolls, etc., that can be toggled on or off. Accuracy of current businesses details is also quite reliable. Pros Ease of use, reliability for location updates, as well as customized options for routes, etc., if using as GPS. I also find it helpful to use the real time view of streets or businesses to identify what a building physically looks like before trying to find a location/building. Cons Only minor issue encountered is with route optimization. At times when using as a GPS, maps will configure quickest route and when you select ignore to take an alternative route, it keeps trying to reroute to the quickest route even when not selected. Mais hélas, cela finit souvent par se retourner contre moi. Même si souvent c'est pour savoir si d'autres personnes que moi ont été déçues professionnellement par les mêmes personnes. Je conçois que cela ne fasse pas plaisir aux personnes que l'on puisse lire quelque chose de négatif sur elles. This application helped me to find different locations, to avoid traffic, to save time in traffic and arrived at destination safety. Pros I like about Google Maps that I can go anywhere without fear that I won’t arrived at a proposed destination. It pretty much has every place that need to be on the map. If not, we can add our own by requesting a change. I myself use it very often while travelling and going to new places. However, I would not trust it to take me to places which have very narrow roads. Pros The routing system that google maps offer is by far the best feature. Even in a county like Nepal where there is no town planning, Google Maps gets the route right often. It shows how much time will be needed to get to the destination via shortest route. Another feature I like about Google Maps is the Contributions. We can contribute to the maps by providing latest information about the places. Contributors have levels which increases as they contribute more to the maps. This helps in keeping the maps updated with current changes because google itself will take months to update. Cons Even though Google Maps gets the routes in Nepal current often, there are still many inaccuracies and mistakes. Nepal has a lot of narrow roads which are sometimes not shown in Maps because they are very small. This has led to Google Maps giving out wrong directions sometimes because of missing some narrow roads. The map itself is not updated very often. Also, in other countries, they have street view almost everywhere but that is by far not the case in Nepal. Street views are very limited, and Nepal is yet to see a Google Maps car hit the road. In my business the drivers use google maps to fetch patients in different locations that they could not reach easily without google maps. Pros The fact that it shows kilometers and time it take for you to reach your destination, that is outstanding for me. Cons Functionality is limited without internet connection. Pros It's generally accurate and I love being able to see ratings and reviews of establishments. A great tool especially when on holiday! Cons It doesn't always give me the most efficient route. It's also difficult to map a route between two destinations- I often have to type in an address instead of just tapping on a destination. Google Maps needs to improve their communication with businesses - I have often arrived at restaurants that either no longer exist or are closed even though Maps says they are open. If there was an option to include grid squares (such as an OS mode) and add user level live reporting for the navigation aspect, I would award a perfect score. Pros Clear, simple/easy to use. You get all of the main features you need immediately at no cost. Cons There isn't enough community driven aspects to the route finding as other solutions.
