I use it all the time to check where clients and staff are, figure out how long it’ll take for caregivers to get to a client’s place, and just get a better sense of the areas we’re working in. It makes things a lot easier, especially when I’m not physically there. Sure, sometimes the info isn’t 100% accurate, and you do need a good internet connection, but for the most part, it’s reliable and really convenient. It’s definitely one of those tools I wouldn’t want to work without. Pros As a remote employee, it is incredibly useful for navigating areas where clients and staff are located. It also helps me estimate the travel time and distance between a caregiver and a client’s home. Cons Some location information can be outdated or inaccurate, which can cause issues when coordinating staff or confirming client addresses. I wish when I ask ChatGPT to send me a map, it is a google map that actually has the coordinates you were talking about. Pros I love google maps. I use it on a daily basis usually to figure out how to get from one location to the next....away from home. January 13, 2025 4.0 Generally, overall, Google Maps is my GO TO app when I need to check the traffic situation coming and going from home or work and when I need directions to somewhere new or just somewhere I want to visit again, but do not remember the way. Pros I love that Google Maps offers MULTIPLE routes between destinations with timeframes for each one. Also, the suggestions offered when it knows there is a traffic backup and lately I've noticed speed trap notifications, which is SUPER awesome! Cons I wish it had somewhere on the MAIN PAGE to choose from 'Favorites' or often used destinations like Home or Work. I use it almost daily and I would consider it reliable and functional. Pros A convenient feature to navigate directions or plan a trip. It can be downloaded on my phone and accessed through the app which is easy. For the most part, directions and timing are accurate. Cons It is not always accurate in terms of the "best route". I also find sometimes the interference of cell towers can cause some commotion or delay in directions. This is challenging when you are in a busy area. Cons On rare occasions it does not update quickly enough to avoid traffic congestion. A few weeks ago there was also some flooding in my region and some roads were closed and it did not update quickly enough to show the quickest route without me doing my own research.
