May 4, 2015 5.0 I use this program daily to book hundreds of in-house private parties a year for a restaurant, and it really lends to my success in my position. Very organized, very easy to use, and when needed, the support is top-notch. I love the layout of the calendar, and the customized appearance of the proposals. The only con is that it slows me down for a few days when I have to adjust to updates or changes that are made to the layout, etc, on the back end. Every week I find a new way to utilize this software to better our business. The menus are easy to navigate, inventory items are easy to enter and your data is always up to date and secure...which is something I truly appreciate as an owner. They just introduced a new app for the iPhone which made it easier than ever to review event info on the fly or at an event off-site. Every product or service sometimes has glitches but when we have experienced a problem their customer service team is AMAZING!! Anytime we call in to ask a question or review a problem they take their time to get it right the first time... Then they contact us to follow up and make sure everything is still working properly. You never feel like just a number! That is SO important to us!! I would highly recommend Total Party Planner to any caterer looking to increase production and accuracy. The ROI is huge! I was hesitant to make the investment, but the potential value is clear. Mel Harper has been amazing to work with. He was pleasant and easy to work with. Mel has helped me so much and made me feel comfortable with the software and with TPP in general. He should be commended for his knowledge of the software, ability to listen, learn, explain and clearly communicate with his clients. Very impressed with his skills and representation of TPP. Software should make it easier. TPP does." May 13, 2015 5.0 Catering software by its nature is complicated. TPP simplifies the processes better than anything I have seen or used. (I have owned other catering software.) My kitchen uses it for ordering and prep sheets, the sales department develops menus, proposals and invoices, my operations team relies on it for scheduling and packing lists, we staff with it and my bookkeeper moves all the invoices into QuickBooks. With all the data, the reports I generate help me manage the team. I am saving the fifth star on Ease of Use and giving it to Customer Service. Their customer service rules. They help you with everything. We make suggestions and they listen. They see our difficulties and they work to resolve them. We suggested a mobile app would be helpful (as I am sure there other clients suggested the same thing) and it deployed last month. We consider them not just a vendor but a strategic partner. We are able to submit proposals and invoices within hours (and sometimes minutes) when it used to take us days to get back to leads and clients. Well worth the money x 10! Bravo TPP for excellent customer service and an amazing product! Pros The ease in creating proposals and invoices. Cons There is just a slight learning curve when you first begin to use the software but if you are diligent and determined TPP will save you time, money and a lot of headache. It saved me and my business and allowed me to grow. There are so many features built in that after 10 years I am still adding great options to my system. It is on of the easiest programs to use. The customer service is second to none. If you have a question - you will get a live person (that you will get to know) right of way. If it was not for TPP my company would never have grown to what it is. The small price you pay per month will pay for itself in the first few weeks that you are online. Without TPP and their great team I would still be a small catering company making very little money. Anyone one can cook great food - but being able to deliver fast, clear proposals to your clients will make you the money. August 17, 2015 5.0 Total Party Planner enabled our company to respond more quickly and efficiently to our customers with professional looking proposals. At the same time it provided clear, complete information to our culinary team and helped us organize and price our menu items as well as develop packages for certain clients. We have a large inventory of rental items which is now fully organized and tied to our proposals. Our invoicing and billing procedures are now streamlined and our A/R is minimal. In sum this program revolutionized our business and we now have only two people doing the data entry work that used to take an entire department to execute and we are processing nearly double the number of events. There are too many plusses for a short review, streamlining all those lists I had to make, the interface to Quickbooks, easy communication between departments, staffing, staff schedules, staff pay, inventory, packing lists, productions lists, worksheets for events, only needing to enter information once and then sending it to the appropriate department. Then there's the immediate customer service. We are so spoiled now that dealing with other vendors can be difficult! Great customer service. There is no such thing as a dumb question. All the information you need to run your business is at your fingertips. When our Cafe began adding Catering to its food service business in 2001, everything was done manually and to order - a very costly endeavor. Today, with 6 full time staff, TPP enables us to serve dozens of events weekly, be on top of all the details and also ensure that a profit is being made. TPP has always been very responsive to our challenges and has innovated to meet our needs. We give TPP five stars - a winner!! It's the best thing that has ever happened to our office. It's very user friendly and the task and note function is just awesome. I like that I come in every morning and TPP tells me what I need to do today. As far as customer care goes when we were setting up our TPP account Mel and Melissa were there to answer any questions I had right away. This software has changed my margins by simply being able to see my true margins and expenses per event. The speed of which I can create proposals is astounding and my clients see a very professional document that explains in great detail the products and services we are going to provide so they have the trust in my business to cater their event.
