March 1, 2026 5.0 I used SQLBak for many years; it helped me with backup management and organization. I've paused its use because of the latency, which left me somewhat dissatisfied, but that's the fault of the region where I use it, not the application itself. Pros SQLbak is very practical for automating and managing database backup routines, something I would otherwise have to manually develop in various scripts and routines. SQLabak has everything ready-made for a fair price. Cons The only downside, in my opinion, is the latency of SQLbak with Google Drive on a dedicated server hosted in São Paulo, Brazil. If it were fast and had low latency, the product would be perfect. Pros It securely backs up my databases and server files on schedules. I can one-click restore backups in case there is a data loss. Cons Third-party cloud backup destinations require paid plans. In the free plan (Linux version), FTP is the only option for sending backups to remote storage. Pros I like the practicality of connecting with my clients and offering them this solution. Cons I just reported a case because there are many issues with notifications. Emails don't arrive, they arrive, and they end up in spam. It uses the business account from which emails are sent and blocks them. I don't know what's happening if it's a premium service. How can I prevent the assigned emails from ever being blocked? The software is very functional and delivers what it promises. Pros Sqlback is fantastically easy to use. The dashboard and software are easy to use, with explanations and guides on how to configure backup settings. Once configured, just wait for the magic to happen. The intuitive interface allows us to monitor and control all of our customers' backups in one place, making administration much easier. We particularly appreciate the ability to quickly set up and customize different backup jobs for different databases. The central dashboard view gives us a clear overview of the status of the backups, so we can immediately see if everything is running smoothly. In addition, the scheduling of backups is extremely flexible, and we can set the time periods according to our needs or those of our customers. If there are any issues with the backup or connectivity, it will send you an email. Cons If you setup the backup to be zipped, you get easily do a restore but it's been a very long time since I have tried, so they may have improved on this process.
