If there are any problems with the backup, our tehnician is notified and he can resolve all the issues. Pros The setup is very easy. There are several backup locations available, from local to ftp and cloud. The status of each server if very clear. Cons Would be nice to have some extra features for restoring backups as different databases. Currently we are doing this manually. It has saved me from data loss a couple times already and I know I can depend on it to keep my databases backed up and protected without me thinking about it. I've been using it for about 2 years now and plan to continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Truly a great product all around. Pros SqlBak is very easy to set up and offers a variety of integrations and clients to connect to your servers which make it a breeze to get up and going regardless of what you are using. The web interface is very easy to use and understand. There's plenty of settings and customization without being overwhelming, and the available options for storing, encrypting, and moving data are fantastic! No matter your server, databases, or connection method, this has a solution for you. Cons I have nothing negative to note. I've had small issues with clients configuration on my part but I was able to reach out to support and quickly get it sorted without issues. Pros I was tasked in finding a multi-site, multi-database backup tool that we could implement to 1000's of locations and give our operation a secure, managed, and safe database backup and recovery solution. SQLBak provides just this and in a simple but effective way. Cons There is nothing we do not like about SQLBAK. And indeed this is true. But because of this also some options are missing, like e.g. templating for backup filenames, customizable backup folder structure, e-mail notifications in case of successful job runs, more sophisticated retention policies (instead of just x daxs/weeks) and some more useful features/options Reason for choosing SqlBak We chose Sqlbak over SQL Backup Master mainly because of it's support for Linux/Docker. We used SQL Backup Master before when we run MSSQL on Windows. From a feature-set/option-set point-of-view SQL Backup Master provides more options. We had a requirement that needed to be actioned quickly and it fit the bill. Pros Once installed, the ease in which we were up and running for scheduled backups was refreshing. Nothing was overly complicated and it looks like a lot of thought has gone into the process of creating a backup schedule. Cons The only con I can think of is is the documentation. The process is easy enough, but I wanted to do something a little more outside of the box and finding some reference to it wasn't as straight forward as the the application itself.
