I wouldn’t battle the software to manage a complex, multi-month long project. It’s worth exploring turning ideas into concrete plans but if you’re looking for a software that can manage robust projects with endless integrations and a shallow learning curve, I’d continue on with the search. Pros The best part of my experience was the template menu for their workshops. ExcelWay offers a wide variety of pre-loaded templates that span from project management methods and types, and each one comes loaded with a description so you actually know if this template is best for you before committing. The display itself is clean and doesn’t have too much noise while working. It makes it easy to look at even if it’s not easy to use. What I truly enjoyed about ExcelWay was its brainstorming functionality. You can run a team activity by inviting users to your Workshop and run a team brain-dump session. You can then take those ideas and turn them into their own project and have the team brainstorm deeper. Truly allowing for each member to dive deep into the project. Other features include adding in subtitles, color-coding, auto-generated summary report that includes a “whats next” task list, and a facilitator vs presenter mode for guided activities. This tool does a great job at creating a space for brainstorming. Cons That said, it does come at cost. The integrations are minimal, it connects to Google Workspace, which is great, but the tool itself can’t do everything that needs to be done in house so further integration is needed. Slack, Asana, and Lucid come to the top of my mind. The onboarding for this app is also rough, in fact, my biggest grievance. Buttons don’t have tooltips to explain what they do, no templates for projects, and I'm wondering where to find the fancy features as they seem to like to hide. Unless you spend an hour or so watching their YouTube tutorials before diving in, it’ll take you three times as long to figure it out on your own. ExcelWay can also be used asynchronously, which gives invitees more time to think. The live session that follows can focus on discussions and voting on the ideas. Cons Currently doesn't let users add/design their own templates (though there's a good selection of templates included) Switched from [HuddleIQ](https://www.capterra.com/p/240766/HuddleIQ/) HuddleIQ has an infinite canvas, which gives flexibility but can confuse invitees.
