Our consultant recommended it and it works for us, even if developing solutions can be a bit tricky. Their customer service has always been responsive and helpful. Pros Set it up once and then the hard work is done. Easy to update templates. Easy for users to both generate documents and use the solutions (in our case, sending the customized letter that was generated attached to a customized email.) Pros Conga enabled my team to easily create and automate all of the different plans and polices that we manage through the use of templates and highly configurable fields, all while maintaining our specific branding and format. Cons Conga can be daunting for new users. Thankfully, they have great resources for training and getting users started with creating their own documents. April 19, 2018 5.0 Pros I liked how easy the product was to upload to Salesforce and then send to the clients for signing. It was not only easy internally for the person sending the document but also for the client to open and access (which means the most)! Cons I didn't really have any cons about the software. It was very easy for the client to use which is what mattered most since majority of the time we would send the document while on the phone with them and walk them through signing. We can just create each file and the next person can merge all of the data together with a single mail merge. Another benefit is being able to combine multiple files into a single report that is professional looking that we can then send off to a client. This program saves a lot of time and promotes accuracy by getting rid of human error. Pros I like that conga Composer saves me time because I do not have to go back and forth and re enter the same information- especially lots of data. I'm pretty sure that I make fewer errors because I don't have to re enter all of the data by hand. There are easy to find categories to merge and then create a single professional product. Cons There can be issues with its integration with Salesforce. It will sometimes freeze and we have to restart Salesforce or sign in over and over. It also sometimes comes up with all of the fields blank that were supposed to be filled in by the mail marge. You always have to double check a document before submitting it because potentially all of the fields will say zero. This happens every once in a while. Review Source DR Denise R. Pros Integration with SFDC is good. When it works it's smooth and gets to clients and contacts effectively. FAQ & Reading literature is extensive and helpful for specific issues. Cons Integration with SFDC is good, but doesn't come with a lot of early, out-of-the-box power. It's rather complex to implement and we required additional services to assist in doing so. Difficult for a smaller company to execute and even the developers stuggled (3 months of issues) to get it up and running properly.For the price, this product needs to be far easier to use, easy to try and easier to buy. The limit of like 10 licenses + 5 for Conga Sign assumes a very large staff doing more than most companies want their teams to be doing in 30-50 employee companies. September 15, 2022 4.0 Overall our users found it very frustrating to use and many stopped due to the limitations of working with the PDF format only. The content library was difficult to use. Any content added to the Conga platform was converted to HTML format, so even when downloaded, it was difficult to work with. Conga and Microsoft office products do not work together. Pros The tool did produce an attractive and well formatted proposal. Making most updates was easy. Cons We were told that the proposal would easily convert to a word document, which never happened so this was a challenge when clients needed a word document from us. Tables or excel type formats were extremely difficult to incorporate into the document. The content library didn't offer any format for organizing, only searching. Anytime we attempted to send our proposals out of the tool, we were not confident that our client would receive it, so we stopped using this component of the tool. Pros It was a good application to use in terms of matching up the full fledged flexibility and customization that Salesforce provides and then being able to put it onto a proposal. Cons As a standalone application, it felt dated. Also, we had complaints from some customers that they couldn't sign the document, but it very well could have been user error. There are lots of easy forums to get training on how to code up the templates to automate the information coming through from Salesforce. It has greatly improved efficiencies within our team and ensures consistency in the documentation going out to our customers. Cons Our security systems really struggle with allowing the software to always work, this is more an issue our end than a Conga criticism but i'm sure every business using this has very strict security on devices which needs to be considered carefully when using the product. Some functionalities have only description and not use cases, examples...etc Miss translation functionality for Conga Composer and document generation. When the tool was called Tinderbox, we found it to be pretty good with minor functionality issues. Since it became Octiv, we've gotten into the habit of calling customer support 2 - 3 times per month. There seem to be more bugs than before. Asset pages get lost, user privileges get messed-up, and the whole tool seems slower and clunky.
