I am pleased with the reporting and confident that my needs will be met as they are ever changing.

Pros

Once you understand how the reports work, they are very easy to use and provide a variety of reports. The "tech team" is great for updating/adding new items to the reporting AND the team responds quickly and pleasantly. I can communicate with the same person too. This is helpful as there becomes a relationship and a better understanding of my needs and how to communicate them.

Cons

Personally, I prefer speaking with people. So the only con is having to do everything through email. However, once you get a good repoire and can clearly state what you need, the communication goes smoothly.

At first I was not sold, until the support helped me build reports as per my requirements. Not only is their support extremely helpful, but they showed me the true power of the BI software.

Pros

Finally Shopify has a proper reports app with extensive modifications and the ability to manipulate data after a sale.

Cons

It can be a bit pricy on premium plans.

Reason for choosing Better Reports

Ease of modifying the reports, and the fact it syncs in real time with Shopify. The support were able to help me realise the power of the BI software.

Pros

Fast - reported exactly what I wanted. Saved me so much time so I can do stuff I want to do.

Cons

Wish that you could just pay for the one or two reports that you want instead of a monthly subscription. Plus have to pay in US when I'm from Canada

Pros

There is a small learning curve but once you are familiar with the layout, building reports are a breeze. I love the extensive filtering options... MUCH better than Shopify Analytics reporting. I love the ability to search the fields in Shopify. As far as I'm aware, every piece of data in Shopify is available in this reporting tool. You can really answer any question you may have about your Shopify data. The scheduling feature is also wonderful. I can't say enough about this app. You definitely want to give it a try. You won't regret it. On top of the great app, the support team is also very responsive and helpful.

Cons

At times, my queries timeout due to the volume of data I'm reporting on. That's my only complaint.

### "A rapid solution to our need for easily managed scale reporting across our Stripe Connect portfolio"

We're gaining visibility of multi-merchant data, at scale, that would be impossible to share in Stripe (we even tried Stripe's own Sigma reporting tool). This is near real time (hourly in our case), we have so much freedom in how we use the data, and the experience has been made perfect by the high level of support from the folks at BetterReports.

Pros

We assessed multiple products but BetterReports were the only provider to really understand our use case, work with us to solve it, and provide a tool with an exceptionally flexible report building interface (some of the underlying or optional query power is fantastic) and offering a unique workflow to push data out into our Google Sheets environment where we run imports and lookups to power live summaries and graphs. Alongside this the best thing about the software is the support which is fast, experienced, and helpful.

Cons

I can't say there is much I don't like because the solutions we have figured out more than outweigh the limitations - I expected the standard of the administration portal and the lack of variety on user types to be a disappointment but in the end understanding we use the tool to push data elsewhere to be used by folks (off the back of a ridiculous amount of large-scale data consolidation from Stripe)

Reason for choosing Better Reports

It took time to query our use case with all the vendors but in the end Plecto, Putler, and Baremetrics simply don't support Stripe Connect accounts (where you're dealing with multiple merchants' data, not just one). Additionally Baremetrics only thinks about subscriptions yield. Flatly was a viable contender as they offered to solve the use case, but since they are exclusively about data transportation, whereas BetterReports gives us a tool to build and view the reports first before pushing to GoogleSheets, it is a reliable single tool. Plus BetterReports support and engagement of their team was hugely reassuring.

Pros

I love that they have so many reports as well as customizable reports. Any time i have needed help setting up a report they have been so helpful and so fast responding

We have no cons about Better Reports they have always met and exceeded our expectations

They reply to emails right away, and always understand my question the first time. We had to move all of our reports from one Shopify store to another, and they did it for us in the blink of an eye with no extra charges. I honestly didn’t know that customer service for an app could be this good. I sincerely hope they are able to keep it up.

Pros

The customer service level is outstanding. They help set up reports you need in the first place and when you get stuck on one field or one small issue on an ad hoc report, you email them and they immediately fix the report! It’s like having a fairy godmother of reporting!! The possibilities seem endless. They have never said “that can’t be done”. Custom fields are an amazing feature - they were able to create custom fields for me at various levels of the data that transformed my ability to analyze my business.

Cons

It’s not cheap so we hesitated at first. But Better Reports really proves the adage: you get what you pay for. Also the custom fields are a little complex and hard to figure out on your own. This would be a con but because of their amazing customer service it’s a non-issue.

Better Reports not only provides us with the detail required, whether it is sales information by customer, Shopify page, Distributor, etc., but it also provides full automation. This system is truly set it and forget it.

Pros

I have absolutely no IT experience. I searched for a product that would fit our Company's needs and compared several during a trail period simultaneously. Not only does Better Reports provide us with the information required, the automation and ability to create individualized reports is incredible. However, I cannot over emphasize that the Customer Service of those at Better Reports is exceptional! Not only are they extremely prompt answering requests, but they are more responsive than any other 3rd party app we have dealt with. From start to finish, they create your report, communicate and confirm that the report meets our requirements, but they will also offer additional options when they feel it may be beneficial. I could not be happier with this product and highly, highly recommend Better Reports.

Cons

The only aspect I would like to see if the option for training with an individual from Better Reports so that we can generate reports in house with more confidence.

It was fantastic working with their customized reports team. They were very thorough and pleasant to work with. Highly recommended.

Pros

The customizable reports are huge. The Better Reports' team built us several very challenging custom reports for our subscription business. They listened to our needs and checked in every step of the way until we were satisfied. I did not expect this level of customization for this product. I was extremely surprised and delighted.

Cons

The only con is that I didn't find discover them sooner.

Calliper never seemed to synch with Stripe and after it did, it just gave the same reporting that Stripe provides.

Incredible flexibility - we can access any data point available in Shopify and build a custom report with extensive filtering (light years beyond what's avialable OOTB in Shopify). Some examples: 1) Orders filtered by customer tags 2) Available inventory counts with custom dimensions for inventory turns 3) Product sales over time based on inclusion in collections with specific titles 4) Customer journey over time based on time cohort Beyond access to data, the Better Reports team is absolutely phenomenal, from assisting us with building custom dimensions to tweaking reports for efficiency. They are truly an extension of our internal team.

Cons

Sometimes finding the specific dimension you want is a little tricky due to nomenclature.

excellent - the most critical app we use with our website

Pros

the ease of use and ability to display, aggregate and deploy data for our day to day use is incredible. it accesses all data captured from our website and is able to to provide preformatted reports or custom reports. it allows for scheduled reporting via email or syncing to google sheets - we have our main production workflow based off of a core report and cascading reports that is displayed real time.

Cons

learning curve for custom reports can be a little steep at first, but this is supplemented by amazing and responsive customer support

Cons

I think they would benefit from making it more clear just how amazing their support is. The team is fast, highly competent, and will help you get what you need. The app can do it, their team can show you how.

Pros

Customer support is incredibly responsive and helpful. They've been able to customize the system completely for my team. This tool makes our Shopify data useful so we can make the best business decisions.

Cons

Data visualization is a bit lack-luster. I often export to excel so that I can pivot and visualize the data the best way (which can be frustrating when I realize I need one additional metric and need to start over).

Pros

The ease and functionality of this application is so far ahead of any other app I have found. It makes our jobs and data analysis so much better. Aside from the incredible practical usage, the thing that separates this app from others is the customer service. If we need a custom field or report, the team has been able to deliver perfectly every time, and within hours of sending a request. Phenomenal!

Cons

Honestly, I have no complaints at all. I can't recommend this app highly enough. I can show real world examples of how I use this multiple times a day.

Good reporting platform with plenty of flexibility in adding custom fields and calculations. The Better Reports supports team is very responsive and helpful. They have successfully responded to nearly every single query from my team, usually within just a few hours! Reports scheduling is a useful tool as well.

Cons

A few tweaks would make this system even easier to use: - Being able to filter based on measures - Being able to sort data within a matrix - Having the option to build dashboards for each team, showing key metrics/reports side by side in one page. - Hiding the pre-set reports if they are not useful. My team only uses custom reports

A 5\* company with customer service that puts most other companies to shame

Pros

I love the list of reports that exist already - they far exceed Shopify's analytics and make that look a bit stupid and low grade tbh. However, the best feature of Better Reports is the team who help out if there's something a bit more complex that I can't figure out. Every single time I put a request in I get a report back that exactly reflects what I have asked for. They're exceptionally timely and very helpful and responsive - makes the app a complete no brainer as you're never left wondering how to figure something out.

Cons

Nothing. I just wish I was more competent at creating reports when they are slightly more complex

Amazing!! Go ahead and install you wont be disapointed.

Pros

Best reporting app on shopify period! We dont even bother with the built in reports within Shopify. We couldn't operate without this app. What really sets this app apart from the rest is the responsiveness from the developers. Need a custom report you cant figure out? Email the developers and within the same day they will have it for you! I can't stress how important this is. Other apps the developers are non responsive and take days to respond if you are even lucky to get a response.

Cons

Nothing really. Pricing is a tad on the expensive side. But just like everything else in life you get what you pay for.

Pros

On top of the large number of pre-built reports, Better Reports will also help to create the perfect customized reports. They will also offer work arounds for any data that is not offered from Shopify in order to extract specifics. I used Better Reports at my previous job and implemented it with my current company.

Cons

It is very expensive - exceeding $250 of my second highest $$ app used.

Very easy to use and to create custom reports. Allows me to share data across multiple users in different departments. Adds another level to Shopify reporting that allows me to deep dive into the figures. Without Better Reports I would not be able to accurately report on the business. Use this app daily for restock reports, inventory by category, to find products without cost variants entered, sales analytics and the list goes on! They are very helpful in creating custom reports for me as well. Usually within a few hours even!
