December 10, 2025 5.0 Syncfusion has a fantastic program for startups that has enabled us to get our MVP ready in record time and we are preparing for a launch of our service in the first quarter of next year. Overall, the ability to partner with an organization that is willing to help small startups like us bring a product to market in record is something that resonates with me deeply. We are building this in our spare time when we get off work from our day jobs and if we had to spend the time to build these types of components ourselves, we would never get to market so partnering with a company like syncfusion for our development needs is a make or break consideration. Pros Syncfusion components have helped us get our MVP Saas application ready to launch in record time. These components are mature and have fantastic documentation. The have hundreds of components to choose from and as a component designer myself, they are well built and intuitive to use. Cons So far our experience has been nothing short of positive. It's used both for prototyping solutions, which are always difficult to convey to the client, and for striving for refined user interfaces (it's important to always stay abreast of best practices, and Syncfusion implicitly meets this requirement). Pros Completeness. As a small indie company developing custom web applications, we've found that Essential Studio covers virtually all of our diverse software component needs. Cons The learning curve is sometimes daunting; not because the documentation is lacking, but because there are so many features that achieving a good level of comfort with use is not immediate. As an individual developer, and small operator (by choice), I find the value offered by Syncfusion to be excellent. Again, I only use a very small subset of their product, but do have access to the wealth of controls contained in Essential Studio as needed. What might be interesting to folks considering using Syncfusion products is the great timing of Artificial Intelligence tools being leveraged against their historically robust Help Desk history. Today, if I need to tweak some behavior or develop some new functionality around the grid control, ChatGPT or Anthropic will quickly drop a nice piece of supporting code in my lap. Only experienced and well-run tools providers like Syncfusion are well positioned to benefit from this magic moment in time. Pros I've been using the Win Forms grid control for many years. What I've been consistently please with is the ease of upgrade from version-to-version of .NET Framework and the eventual transition to .NET. There has never been a problem. Cons There isn't much to not like; Syncfusion is a solid provider of reliable tools for programmers. Given the scope of their offering, I'm just surprised at how well it's managed and how the company has endured in the market. I've used a lot of third-party controls in my life-time and most of the companies providing them have folded or stopped supporting them. We like the feature set and styling capabilities and that it is also working on windows/android/iOS which is a hard requirements for us. Pros SfListView performance and features set. Features often break down from one feature to another feature and also its is nevery clean if a new nuget weekly version is kind of stable versions or not. Seems that there is also no UI-Automation Test in place where things and features for MAUI .NET controls are tested regularly before it get released as new nuget-packages! E.g. SfListView Automation-Peers got broken entirely just few weeks ago. Also on SfNumericEntry broke several times. The support is very good. In almost every case there is a solution. Pros It is a feature rich library that contains all the relevant controls like grid, charts, basic controls like ComboBox. Cons We use the Blazor library but a syntax editor control is missing. A syntax editor exists in other Syncfusion libraries. So the technology is there. The documentation could be better, more complete. For instance: many times it is not clear if the property Width can be set in px or rem. In the cases where I needed support with a component, Syncfusion email support response times have been excellent, the agents were knowledgeable and willing to work through the problem to understand my issue. Cons Overall the Syncfusion component documentation is excellent and support can easily be contacted via email to clarify component functionality. What could be improved is that sometimes information needed for advanced component implementation is in separate knowledge base articles which require additional searching to discover. The value really shows when you fully leverage its depth and flexibility. Pros The Gantt module is extremely feature-rich and well suited for complex project planning use cases. It handles dependencies, sub-tasks, drag-and-drop, resizing, and hierarchical data very reliably. Once configured, interactions are smooth and the UI feels mature and professional. It’s particularly strong for structured, enterprise-grade planning scenarios where waterfall or dependency-driven logic is required. The support team was also responsive and helpful when dealing with advanced configuration questions related to the Gantt. Cons The Gantt’s default Auto-Scheduling logic is very strict and waterfall-oriented, which can be limiting if you want more Agile or Jira-like behavior (for example, manually controlled parent task dates). And, of course, the excellent support for questions about coding, even though this has declined significantly due to AI. Cons We are actually very satisfied, but one feature in a graphic that we urgently need has not been implemented, even though it would be useful. Admittedly, it is a special case that is likely to benefit very few customers. However, our previous component was able to do this, which means that this is a step backwards in terms of functionality. It's a fantastic library that genuinely has solutions for every component I need. Pros The comprehensiveness of the component library is what I like most. It completely eliminates the need to build complex components from scratch. I was able to implement a scheduler component for a client dashboard quickly and efficiently. And another thing is that the library's scope is massive, covering everything from data grids and mapping components to exciting new features such as the AI integration, which I would like to explore in the future. Cons My primary suggestion is around integration with modern utility-first frameworks. Solution Lead Computer Software Used the software for: 2+ years ### "The best component suite right now for MAUI Projects" March 16, 2025 4.0 Overall experience is great & after dealing with similar rival component suites Syncfusion has been my 'go to' for client (and personal/hobby) projects for MAUI and previously Xamarin. Pros The Syncfusion MAUI (and previously) MAUI components provides a great way to hit the ground running on projects & allows me to focus on delivering the best user experiences to clients rather than reinventing the wheel writing own controls. The support has been (mostly) great too - we get responses to any issues quite quickly in the forums and have had feature requests for components added too. The other thing which has been good is the regular weekly updates and Syncfusion has been keeping up to date with platform updates from MAUI team so we don't have to wait a long time to move to new versions. Cons Probably the biggest issue I have found is the changed licensing model (in 2023/2024) which requires my clients to license the entire Essential Studio rather than just the specific MAUI components. This of course adds significant expense for clients and friction when trying to onboard clients to use Syncfusion components for projects. We have also occasionally experienced issues where new weekly updates can break/destabilize the components forcing us to roll back to earlier versions - however this seems to be a lot better lately.
