Pros It offers rich, high value components without investing a serious amount of internal engineering time. Components work as user expects, look professional yet offer customization Cons Some of the tutorials and guides do not work for me. The CLI tooling could be better. I use these tools in my projects to enhance the user experience and I believe they do this very well. Pros I like the variety of tools available to make development easier and more diverse. These tools being offered to small software development companies on a free license is also incredible. Cons The tools that I use are not very intuitive sometimes and I find it hard to work with them now and then. I feel the UX controls could be more streamlined and better structured to provide a better experience. Project 2 (blazor c#): the developers experienced blocking due to support (the license issue explained before) and limited functionalities, i.e., in the graph component there is no support for Graph auto-layout, being able to select graph port,...etc. Project 3 (c#/wpf): the time did not choose syncfusion based on benchmarking with other component (we looked into formatted text editor, Grid,..etc) Pros supporting different programing languages, and offering many components (Graph, Grid, Text editor,...) Cons The license management and making the agreement, also getting a lot of email which should have not ended up on my table as a customer. It took almost 4 months to sort out the license, and an assigned and authorized developer was not able to get help due to license management issue. In our side (using https://www.syncfusion.com/account/portal ) it shows that the developer has a license, but at syncfusion side it doesn't which led into so many emails and meeting to sort it out, and the developer being late with delivery as he could not get the needed support. The component is under active development with frequent releases, which gives me confidence in using it as part of a production system. Pros I am using the Syncfusion Spreadsheet component in a Vaadin-based project and my experience has been very positive. Their support has been excellent: I needed to integrate the component with Vaadin, which is not officially supported, and they quickly provided a minimal sample project with the integration already working. That example gave me a solid starting point and allowed me to move fast without wasting time on guesswork. Cons What I like less is the strong emphasis on the full Essential Studio bundle; as someone mainly interested in the JavaScript Spreadsheet component, the overall product and licensing model still feel a bit too MSWindows-centric. It includes all the necessary controls needed to create a modern web interface on the Blazor platform. Cons There are minor annoying bugs in the intermediate versions, but apart from these, I haven't found any significant problems. These minor bugs are almost always fixed in the main versions. Our search functionality was solid, but without document previews, end users couldn't effectively leverage the results. Syncfusion solved this bottleneck decisively. Pros Objective: Display read-only of multiple document types. No editing allowed. Previews were critical: In indexed data you had functional email search and text search, but end users couldn't really use the results without being able to view the documents. This was the UX bottleneck. Syncfusion was the "key unlock" for user experience. Deployment timeline estimated over 8 days with all files ready to copy into the project. Cons Some of the major upgrades have breaking changes. Creating custom SCSS is not the most straightforward.
