I am happy with the features offered by Essential Studio. However, the licensing change was not smooth. I spent a bit of time working out a cost-effective license that can support the already-developed application. I believe Sysncfusion should look after existing license holders without making distance changes to licensing arrangements.

Pros

The essential studio has a comprehensive set of UI components and a document-processing library. The document processing library makes my life much easier.

Cons

The documentation is still not up to date. The support team needs to resolve some of the issues. The way licensing has changed over the last year makes it messy. As the existing customer, the existing licensing discount was ignored.

First class, works well. I am only a hobby user, but any interactions I have had I can't fault, it is a very good product, at least for my minimal need

Great product, great toolkit, enhances Blazor perfectly, components like sfstockchart for stock market graphs are excellent.

Cons

No real negatives at all that I can think of, support has been great. There are a few tricks to loading the different components separately, but when mastered, all good

Pros

I am initiating in the development world. What drew me into Syncfusion was its large availability of Windows Forms to choose from for my project. I also liked Syncfusion's vast libraries available for other .Net framework to build other projects which I compared with other providers and Syncfusion had better choices.

Cons

There are plenty of tools so you need to spend some time to familiriaze with the tools. Read the documentation and you should be good

Overall, I had a fairly positive experience. Getting started, from installation to adding my first component was straightforward, though late on I found customising the styles gets a bit challenging.

Pros

I found Syncfusion Essential Studio to be quite easy to use with a comprehensive range of UI components. I particularly likje the ease with which I can just copy and paste the code neccessary to get a fully-functioning component. Easy as pie.

Cons

The learning curve is definitely a challenge if you're not used to some of the frameworks. There are a huge number of components and getting exactly hte right one can be a source of frustration.

Personally, I like Essential Studio and is my best control set in my day-to-day software development work and tasks. I've not had any software crash or any side effects as a result of using Essential Studio. I'm really impressed.

Pros

Essential Studio has most of the common controls and components needed for the day-to-day software development work and tasks.

Cons

In Microsoft Visual Studio Toolbox, Essential Studio Controls and Components look very old and ugly. Additionally, they're not grouped.

The thing I like most about Essential studio is its prebuilt UI frameworks which saves a lot of time and it supports multiple platform like mobile and web

The thing that is not good about Essential Studio is that it requires high memory and processing power.

I initially needed just a couple of components for my pet project. But while working on it, I made use of more and more components on different platforms (ASP.NET Core, Blazor, MAUI). It was great to know that "and for this my need, I can use SyncFusion components too".

The choice of components is very broad, covering the vast majority of the developer's "regular" needs.

Cons

Sometimes, it is hard to find the needed information in the documentation, so that I needed to ask ChatGPT to help.

When I encountered problems, the support was always extraordinary, providing a solution, often with code or even a project containing the solution adapted to the situation. The free community edition is a MUST have when you're the only dev. Even more when coding is not the main goal of company.

Pros

I'm using WinForms controls only. They saved me so much time by not having to reinvent the wheel to create a user interface.

Cons

I'm still searching from so many years... Oh yes I got an idea. A simple full project in collaboration with DevArt to show how both companies can work together with a contact manager application.

The Document Editor is a highly capable online Word editor with relatively high fidelity in respect to the original .docx file. It's actually one of the best ones I tried.

Cons

Setup of the front and back ends was relatively easy, but it would have been nice to have backend support in Node.js too. The UI could be slightly refined in terms of its style. But overall a very good product.

There was nothing I liked least about Syncfusion Essential Studio. It is a very good and easy to implement set of controls that can be used to make very functional and easy to use web apps, desktop apps, and mobile apps.

The Syncfusion UI components for Windows programming (WinForms, WPF, UWP, etc) definitely add a more polished look for the software I write. I use only a small fraction of the available components, primarily charting, data grids and docking manager, occasionally some others like the diagram and editor components. As one who writes software primarily for industrial applications (machine controls, HMI etc) that are meant to be installed and run 24x7 for months at a time in very harsh conditions, their components run solidly and without long term issues like memory leaks that can be difficult to pinpoint. The only "crash" I've seen in their components was from the Chart control displaying a large red X - and even in those few instances, the program kept running without the chart function. A later release seems to have resolved whatever the issue was. Support for the components is through form submission on their website. I was skeptical at first, but it has proven very effective over the years and their response time is very good - even had one instance where I was coding at 2am and submitted and was able to chat with their support person in Inda for a very quick resolution. Other issues that take a day or two, generally code samples of the problem are given as part of their solution which is very helpful.

Pros

As a long-time user of Syncfusion (since .NET 1.1 about 20 years ago), the consistency and availability of the platform has been key in delivering equipment in the mining industry. I've seen many tech stacks come and go in that time, and I've been able to operate essentially the same code-base the entire time, upgrading the .NET versions and the Syncfusion libraries with virtually no breaking changes. I've used Syncfusion in various side projects with WPF, UWP, etc and others in our company have used the React.js components, the commonality between the platforms helps reduce the learning curve when changing platforms.

Cons

The licensing structure. I started as a single developer in a very small company with the product and it was very cost effective. When we sold to a larger company, I continued with the single seat until we added other devs and eventually had a global license (which is definitely cost effective for a team). Since we had a corporate restructuring, that global license is now back to basically a single dev license which we pay the same price as the previous global license. Their latest license structure is cost-prohibitive for a single developer seat. There are a few components I find

Pros

Rich features, easy to develop and robust components help reduce maintenance of apps. Components developed/used are still performing well for more than 7 years with untouched code. Awesome!

Cons

Could not keep up with changes in different platforms as they are pretty fast in releasing updates. Might take longer to get reponse due to support team in a different time zone.
