It takes a bit to get it figured out, then it just works. And for the most part, MOST of the problems I have had have been either my own fault, or that of the software I was trying to integrate. Albato just works Pros I've used the other integration tools. Some are way too expensive. Some don't have enough integrations. Some will work with webhooks, but no APIs. It's a Goldilocks thing to find a product that does it all, but doesn't cost more than it makes by using it. Cons To be fair, I skipped the onboarding videos, so figuring things out was a challenge. It's self-inflicted and on me, but while I got there, Albato is not the most intuitive of the integration tools when you first start using it. We use Formaloo for our forms and although it supports sending data to Google Sheets each Formaloo account can only connect to a single Google account (unlike their Slack integration which supports multiple workspaces). So I have all our business forms going to our business Google account but I have a few personal forms that I really wanted to go only into my personal Google account.Albato to the rescue! Setting up the integration was a breeze!

 Just enter the Formaloo API key and Secret, select the form from the list and choose form submit as the event to trigger the automation.Select Google Sheets as the receiving app, authenticate and choose the Create/update a row action. I hadn’t created a Google Sheet yet to receive the data but Albato let’s you create one right from within Albato while setting up the automation!Next map the fields from the from to Google Sheet columns. Responses like "we will see if it is needed" are a bit offputting when asking for a complete connection. I think they may be overwhelmed by new customer volume. Pros The fact that I can create my own connectors AND set it up to migrate data are real game changers. Not that you can't do the data migration with other tools but being able to create a scenario once and reuse it with multiple clients is power! Very stong builder of connectors as well. Don't see what you're looking for? If they have an api you can create it! Cons Documentation seems to be lacking especially on things like Google Sheets which is a huge one. Albato writes documentation in blogs for their connectors which doesn't make a ton of sense considering they have a documentation for the product. Feels patched together.Also I've got mixed feelings about how the billing works but it's no different than Make for example and hopefullly will get better over time.UI is nice, but it looks like Zapier... I was able to get set up within minutes and have my first "operation" or task automated without even having to follow a tutorial. This means a lot to me. I don't want to have to spend valuable time "coding" or learning complicated ways to simplify my work load! I think the ease of use, the fresh user interface and the functions are the absolute best here with Albato. I like that I can create several API connections with the same service but using different accounts. For example, I have a MailerLite account, and so does my partner, and they are different. I was able to add them both and name them separately and so I can build one workflow for me and then another one for my partner all within the same Albato account -- again, ease of use! This is such a stable and reliable service and I can only see it getting better and better with more and more integrations. Pros Ease of use, and easy to understand. And a real time saver. Cons There's really not much I can say that I didn't like about Albato. I do not find Albato the easiest to use; however, it is one of the more powerful automation apps. There's an App Integrator that lets you create your own apps and offers endless options with support for API access. Which makes Albato a great investment for those wanting more advanced automations. I am impressed so far with the number of pre-built apps that has been added over the past year. Pros I find the connection interfaces and automation screens very easy to follow and organize compared to some of the other apps. The detailed history logs and error handling are top-notch. The App Integrator is also a great bonus, and I am looking forward to learning more and trying it out. Cons Unlike Pabbly, you have to stop automations before editing them. This doesn't sound like a big deal, but makes it much easier to fix errors without having to disrupt your incoming webhooks. I found this very handy with Pabbly and would love to see this implemented in Albato. Also, I find that Pabbly separates the incoming data better with headers, so it's a lot easier to understand. I find with Albato, I usually have to check logs to see if I placed the data in the correct spots. Reason for choosing Albato I wanted an automation system that had the ability to build your own API apps when needed, and wasn't too hard on the wallet.
