I'm able to keep track of my day to day finances and I can provide my accountant with the information needed for tax purposes. Pros I needed to find software to replace quickbooks which is so complex. I explored a great many alternatives many of which were expensive with a steep learning curve. TrulySmall Accounting was simple to setup and easy to use. Additionally their support was more accessible than others. Cons Being a lay person I sometimes have a hard time finding answers for things that require more of an understanding of accounting. Helpful for business owners with little to no accounting background, it uses open banking athe banking integration helps to keep transactions up to date without manually inputting each one. Menu bar and dashboard help to give you a easy snapshot of how your business is doing and what tasks need attention. The main drawbacks are limited integrations and occasional miscategorization. Best suited for lean operations, not high-volume businesses. Pros TrulySmall accounting is easy to navigate and has an intuitive interface. It's an affordable option for small businesses who need a basic and quick to use accounting platform. Love the integration with my bank account. Cons Would like more options for clients to pay invoices directly through the platform. The only current option is Stripe which not everyone can use. Removing the bulk of the data entry task is a huge timesaver. I don't like accounting, but TrulySmall makes it so much easier on me. I like the snapshot analysis on the dashboard. The user interface is very clean. Cons As a graduate from Kashoo Classic, one of the things I would like to see in TrulySmall is the auto entry for GST filing. The report creation is easy and I like being able to call up a report with a click, but for now, the journal to deal with remittance of GST has to be entered manually. The help articles need to fill out a bit on this topic. Generally, more help articles need to be created to update a lot of the instruction from Kashoo Classic that is still relevant in the TrulySmall environment. Also, I needed extra help because I hit a wall backfilling data on a bank feed account where my bank was not supplying all the transaction data back to my transaction start date in TrulySmall. But hey, customer service helped me sort it. For editing multiple transactions at the same time, we do offer a bulk edit feature that allows you to categorize several transactions at once!
